    Tagliolini al Tartufo
    Gloria M.

I came in for a cocktail a few months ago and make a note to come back for dinner because I knew it would be good based on the atmosphere. I finally was able to come back and it did not disappoint. The Tagliolini al tartufo is absolutely delicious - do not miss this dish! The service was attentive and restaurant busy, they have a dj setup one one side in the dining room and it was a really fun experience.

Fresco By Scotto is a restaurant that serves you an incredible experience of fine dining. The menu offers a combination of northern and southern Italian dishes with a star studded selection of appetizers, pastas, fish, and meats. For the apps we ordered octopus, salmon tartare, frito misto, clams oreganata, and artichoke salad. Everything was delicious. We all feel the Octopus was a little too strong on the flavor profile but it was still good. There was a slight bitterness to it that we all agreed was a bit too much. The salmon tartare was really good and my personal favorite. Entrees ordered were Rigatoni Bolognese which my wife absolutely loved. I ordered the Dover Sole and it was a perfectly flavored light fish. The table also ordered Branzino, veal chop, filet mignon, and parperdelle duck ragu. Everything was presented beautifully and we all enjoyed our entrees. The service was spot on. All desserts were good with the chocolate cake being out of this world. A good time was had by all and if you enjoy Italian food you will be very comfortable at Scottos!

The most memorable thing about this restaurant was the service; Excellent, exactly what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. However the food wasn't anything special, lacking flavor & didn't taste fresh. Overall the restaurant was just okay.

This was a diamond in the rough! Wife & I went on a Wednesday night, it was fairly busy at 5:30 with large and small parities. All looking like they were having a great time. The first step in the door I knew we made the right decision. Greeted with a friendly smile and polite from the get go. As you know ---So many restaurants in NY is an understatement, but this one stands out! The service was very attentive and food was incredible. Along with a very good custom drinks. It was our anniversary and to our surprise they brought out something pretty special that an accompanied our chocolate dessert! (See picture) So 5 stars for just the food and all the great selections, with a very warm feeling made it a perfect evening!! Really fits so many fascinates - business, family or couples. Can't wait to go back to try some of the other incredible dishes!!!

I came here for my friend's birthday gathering. The place is spacious and high energy. We happened to be there during Kentucky Derby so watching the race here was fun as many of us were glued watching the TVs while having great dinner and drinks. The food was delicious, and the prix-fix menu included each item. You are paying for the ambiance and great food. The meal came out to $200 per person, including drinks and a tip. Great service.

In my K-Billionth time I've had Italian food in New York, I've never been disappointed. Other than Rome or Florence, New York City has this cuisine down pat: Lila in Brooklyn had the best food Il Mulino in NYC was the most elegant restaurant Campagnola also NYC was my second home away from home Rezdora Pasta Restaurant in Midtown has the most revolutionary Italian food; and this list goes on and on. Fresco By Scotto just off of Park Avenue is this modern running / Old School restaurant (I know that's an oxymoron, but.......) making classic Italian dishes the right way. We were there for a birthday party and our host ordered (almost) everything on the menu. * The chicken parm was delicious * Their Caesar salad had all of the fixings with crisp romaine, anchovies, garlic breadcrumbs * Fritto Misto with ricotta, mozzarella, tomato sauce shrimp, calamari, baby octopus, zucchini, marinara - excellent * Mama Scotto's meatballs were great being made with provolone, tomato basil sauce, whipped ricotta tomato sauce, bel paese, pecorino romano * Ragatoni Bolognese had veal and chicken ragù, parmigiano - wonderful And this list keeps on going on! Like any Italian restaurant they made a killer gin martini and the wine list was very good. The service was spot on and the ambiance was quiet and peaceful. This birthday party went off like dynamite. Everything you would want in a party happened. The people invited at Fresco By Scotto all had a terrific time

We chose Fresco by Scotto to celebrate our daughter's 25th birthday, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was elegant, the food was incredible, and it made such a meaningful occasion even more memorable.

Fresco by Scotto is absolutely delicious with deep flavors and unique preparations. The ambiance is delightful and charming; you feel like you have escaped the city and landed in the Italian countryside. The staff is friendly and professional.

Food was absolutely tremendous! I ordered the special ravioli, and my dinner companion had the Cacio e Pepe. Both dishes were outstanding--the pasta was made in-house, and the sauces were rich and flavorful. Service was excellent--quick, attentive, and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with soft background music that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I'm at a Long Island Yelp event and someone at the table asked everyone what's your favorite Italian spot? Someone said Fresco By Scotto, OMG "the" best meatballs. Wait a second. I've been to Little Owl and had their meatballs. I've received the Yelp ROTD for writing about Marea. If you're telling me the best is at Fresco By Scotto then I'm going to see what the hubbub is all about. I'm going to a show at Radio City, the show starts at 7pm. I made reservations for Fresco By Scotto when they open. The day before I see everyone dancing on Instagram? I walk in, no dancing?? I'm a little early so I grab a cocktail at the bar. This restaurant is set up nicely, there is outdoor seating as well as cozy bar - seating area to meet your guests that arrive. Nice touch. My table is ready. I grab my cocktail and I'm seated at a small table. I've been reading the menu online, I want to grab a small plate and this famous meatball. I must point out, the $89 price fixe menu looks really good. I'm thinking my wife would love this menu before a Broadway show. Mental note for myself. I want to order a starter, its a toss up between the Grilled Spanish Octopus and Salmon Tartare. If my wife was dining with me, anything tartare is not an option so Tartare it is! I must say, the salmon tasted very fresh, this was a great starter and highly recommended. Now the meatball dish comes to the table. This thing is huge. I mean (Trump voice) YUGE! I also ordered the dish with the house made Chitarra. The meatball, Mama did the Scotto name proud! It was beautiful dish with lots of flavor, the meatball did not have a lot of filler, it was the perfect ratio of meat and it had a nice exterior. I also loved the dollap of ricotta cheese! Overall, I'm a fan. Thank you Mama Scotto! The housemade chitarra, it was a little too Chitarra for my liking. I understand the method with a guitar like box but it wasn't my favorite pairing with this meatball. I ate only half the pasta. Fresco By Scotto? I will return. And I wanna dance!

I want to start by saying this is a well-decorated, lively restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. It tends to be quite busy, and I've came here twice so far. While the experience was decent, the food is definitely overpriced, with entrées ranging from $40 to $80 each. The menu also changes seasonally. Here's what I've tried: * Truffle Arancini: I would skip this dish--four large, fried cheese balls that are overly heavy and bland. * Salmon Tartare: Good, but not exceptional; you could pass on this one as well. * Pappardelle Bolognese: A solid choice. * Clam Linguine: Excellent--definitely a dish you can't go wrong with. * Tiramisu: Decent, but nothing extraordinary. * Banana Pudding: Far too sweet; I couldn't finish it. * Ricotta Cheesecake: Just okay, not particularly memorable. On a positive note, the service was great, with attentive and friendly waitstaff throughout the meal.

This place is just absolutely beautiful. The moment you turn onto 52nd street from Madison, you are met with the most stunning outdoor seating area. Enter the restaurant and flowers adorn the interior. You are instantly transported into an incredible oasis, and you haven't even taken a bite of anything yet. The service here is outstanding. The staff is uniformed and all are very knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. There was a special for the evening for every category of the menu and they all sounded incredible, specifically the past dish which sounded very refreshing with zucchini and lemon-white wine sauce. I was so torn and you know your girl loves a special, but I ended up going with another pasta dish and before I can even go into that all these pastas are made in house and fresh. Of course I had to go splitsy with my friend, so I got the lobster carbonara while my friend ordered the prosciutto and pea agnolotti and we let each other try the other's dish. Both were just outstanding. I think I liked the agnolotti a tad more but it was just that good beating out a dish with huge chunks of lobster meat. I almost forgot forgot to tell you how the meal began! We started with black pepper breadsticks and olives to the table followed by the buratta salad. The salad was perfect for two people. The buratta was delish and paired well with the sweet balsamic drizzle and pesto. And then came the pasta... Biscotti and a peppermint tea to close out the meal. Such a great one at that. Looking forward to many more visits here. I have many more pastas to try!

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
