Really enjoyed food and ambiance here. They have pre theater dinner specials for early arrival so we kinda stumbled on this but soo worth it. Enjoyed 3 course meals which was delicious and lots of food. We enjoyed escargot, soup, salmon, cordon blue, and chocolate mousse. Loved the cordon blue- so flavorful and melts in the mouth. Overall great experience - both service and vibes were wonderful. Recommend

Really nice little spot, love the atmosphere inside, very cozy. The service was good as well. Got the winter pre-fix for $60 and it was great- mussels very perfectly cooked and garlic not too overpowering; my duck was cooked perfectly and was very tasty - a tad bit too salty for my liking though. Crème brûlée was fantastic, really liked their Merlot.

I wasn't impressed with our meal here. Our group of 8 sat in the back room which was a bit warm for a summer day. We had a server who knew some people needed to catch a show so she was trying to get the orders in on time. Drinks and appetizers came quickly. Then the entrees finally came, but the two who ordered coq au vin didn't get anything. By the time the rest of the table was done, they got their meal. Desserts came quickly and the theater goers were okay. We all ordered from the Pre-Fix menu to try to help make it easier. Alas, someone messed it up. I had the soup of the day - cold beet soup. Then hanger steak with frites and ended with crème brûlée. I wasn't a fan of the soup. Steak was a little over cooked but still tender and good flavor. I don't know if I would go back again.

Boeuf Bourguignon ... wow so delicious. They use beef cheeks.

We walked in after MJ show and staff and guests were speaking French. I knew this would be great. Service was there without being pushy or too fast. Tables are small and crowded, like a European bistro. Salad was enough for two and the Caesar used real anchovies and lots of shaved parm. Wine was a bit pricy but equally delicious. We had the Coq au Vin and Beouf B. The second dish was in top 10 bites for the beef alone. So tender and the sauce was amazing. Perfect spot after a show to feel like you've left NYC behind. Highly recommend and would be back.

It's cozy inside. The staff is very hospitable and accommodating! We were a bit rushed as 1/2 of us arrived late, but we enjoyed mussels, beet salad, cheese plate. Wonderful NYC dining experience!!!

Tres magnifique! Our visit and meal surpassed any and all expectations. The food and service were great. And the outdoor dining ambiance was sublime! We'll definitely be returning!

We came here yesterday after our matinee - and it was honestly great! The three of us ordered appetizers, drinks, entrees, and dessert. French onion soup was perfect. My mussels and fries - were perfection. They were perfectly cooked, and not even one grain of sand in the entire pot. The duck and the lamb entrees were both great - I was told. Creme brulee and chocolate mousse were both very good. The service, for the most part, was good. I am not giving them 5 stars because no one checked on us after any of our courses were served. The food was put down in front of us, and no one looked at us again until it was time to clear our plates. We'll come back if we're in the area again.

Quaint little French bistro near the theater district. Service is nice. They have a pre-fix theater menu you can get for $45 that was definitely worth it. My coq au vin was excellent. The potato leek soup might have been my favorite. Pate and oysters were also good. Check them out.

Amazing place! This is a French authentic restaurant with all French cuisine dishes you're used to. We got the duck and beef, both of which were amazing, it was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. For apps we got some snails and break to dip in the oil, so it was really filling. Snails come without a shell. At the end we also got a round of champagne on the house which was really sweet of them.

Awesome food and atmosphere. We forgot the $45 pre show menu and everything was delicious. Very cute restaurant and great service.

My friend and I came here for French Restaurant Week. This restaurant was opened since 1948 and was recently reopened under new management. The ambiance was a small and cozy restaurant. We started off with Muscarat and Moscow mule. Then, we followed up with escargots and mussels for appetizers. The escargots were really good. They were comparable to La Grande Boucherie and Bistro Eloise. We loved how the mussels were served and the portion was generous. The mussels were served with opened shells, which cut the work in half for the diner. For the entrees, we ordered the Filet Mignon and Halibut. Portions were generous, and somehow, I started feeling sick after consuming the Halibut. I ate the dish and took the rest home. After heating the leftovers the next day, I was fine. The dessert was personally the highlight of the evening. The crepe suzette is a must order. The presentation was awesome, but I was too full and not 100% to enjoy it, so I took that home where my husband devoured it. The dessert was literally soaked in Grand Marnier. My friend enjoyed her Profitteroles. The restaurant is offering the same prix fixe for restaurant week.

Probably the biggest plus for this restaurant, specifically from my perspective, is the location. That is, when we travel to NYC, we stay at the Hotel Edison, which is very convenient to the theaters. And this restaurant is very convenient, too, as it's only a few short blocks from the hotel. The inside of the restaurant is cozy & feels like many restaurants we've been to in France. The staff was attentive & accommodating. My husband ordered the lamb chops & was very happy with them. I ordered the coq au van & was less happy--it was OK but not memorable. I'm very open to going here again, but I won't be ordering the coq au van.

We came here for a special event due to the French holiday of "La Chandeleur" or "Candlemas". This holiday is celebrated by eating a lot of crêpes! This restaurant is a hidden gem, it felt like you were transported to France the second you walked in. We were quite literally the only people in the place speaking English, all the workers and all of the customers were speaking French. And I absolutely loved it. As I am currently learning French, I broke through my nervousness and ordered completely in French, and ask and paid for the bill in French as well. The servers were very kind and let me practice and it all went well! The service in general was impeccable! Due to the special event there was a special menu for the crêpes but I believe they sell some of them on their normal brunch menu as well. The buckwheat crêpes we got opened up a new world for me. I've admittedly never been a huge fan of crêpes but these buckwheat ones changed my mind. They were crispy and all the ingredients feel fresh and just paired really well together. I couldn't decide which one I liked more. The Caramel and brown butter one was more similar to what I had in my head and it was also great with the caramel being the highlight! The americano and cappuccino were also drawn out very well and were satisfied with both! This place has a special place in my heart because I am attempting to learn French and this just made it a very special afternoon for me!

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
