    Ham and cheese omelette

Diner food in cafe form, sent out in deliveries by the dozen and just enough seating for a few, that about sums up Fresco Deli Cafe. A primary stop for folks hanging out at the nearby Laguardia Community College, it was once a frequent lunch spot of mine and easy option for breakfast on the go. When things didn't work out, delivery was always a reliable alternative. The food is adequate for takeout / diner standards, and far cheaper than most places. For the most part, the price tag matched the food, as most of it is just slapped together before making its way to be delivered somewhere. It's by no means gourmet, I've had omelettes that looked like road kill before, despite the fact they tasted decent. They never seem to have enough home fries throughout the day, so expect a lot of substitution with fries. Sandwiches are my thing here, like the black forest ham and cheddar or turkey avocado with peppers. The bread is not remarkable but they usually do a solid job of stuffing it so there's something in every bite. It won't cost you more than $4-5, and the bagels are also in the $1-3 range. Consider avoiding the pizza, in any form. You've been warned. Pricing is obviously reasonable and the service is decent. Phone orders can get a tad tricky at times, so try to utilize online delivery if possible. SInce they operate primarily during the day time, just beware they have no dinner options as they close at 7pm every day.

Ordered a pressed chicken ceasar wrap because I like my food hot and when i opened it was burnt and the smelled was horrible.

Its the only spot where I get lunch from when I dont bring from home and I was disappointed today. Ordered a pressed chicken ceasar wrap and it looked like that and the smell from the burnt was horrible. Paid $9.53 for it.

This is what $5.50 gets you from this place , a squished, soggy bacon egg and cheese 1 Egg Sandwich with Meat

Food is decent nothing to rave about. What upsets me is that the price they have displayed in the buisness is never the price you pay. Everytime I go here I get the same thing and the price changes. Since when does a 1 egg bacon and cheeses on a roll cost $5 plus tax, when your pricing everywhere says $4. To bad I can't get my money back ! This was not worth it smh !

Love the food but this time it was a sweet tooth gone bad. I bought this little cake thingy that was covered in mold. Personally I would've gone back and complained but I was working. I just wouldn't go back anymore. If a simple cake had mold EVERYWHERE imagine how their kitchen and food is before hand.

The service was very good and the people behind the counter and the waiter were nice. I had the pastrami sandwich with a side of Cole slaw and a Dr. Browns soda which came out to $43 ($50 with tip). The sandwich was solid, but it seemed small. The pastrami cut thin, stacked and was moist and flavorful. The rye bread was ok but not the best rye I've had. The sandwich comes dry and I added mustard which was on another table. The coleslaw was just ok for me. It was very tart and had too much vinegar for my liking. All in all it was a good experience except for one thing - the price. Call me old school but I have a hard time with a $50 lunch. I understand that things are expensive these days and that this is New York City, but this I have a hard time reconciling $50 for just an everyday lunch. If price is not a factor, then I think this is a 4, but when considering the price I gave it a 3. It's a great spot if you want to have the NYC deli experience or if price is no issue to you. For me I am glad I experienced this NYC icon, but I don't think I would ever become a regular. I'll keep searching for my spot.

There was a line, of course, there always is, and the wait was longer than what we were willing to endure for fare as simple and as common as a sandwich. It was worth the 20-minute wait. We ordered the Milano special, packed with cold meats, tomatoes, pickled peppers, cheese, and lettuce between two soft sesame rolls. It looked magnificent. It tasted magnificent. It was a sandwich to rule all sandwiches. I'd brave the line for that any day.

Proscuitto burtata (amore) - fresh fresh fresh and quality ingredients. The proscuitto was perfect along with the burrata, arugula and balsamic glaze on ciabatta which was sweet mix. We were deciding on this one and the proscuitto tomato but we are glad we got this one! 2. Chicken caesar salad wrap- I think I could easily say this is the best caesar salad wrap i've had. The dressing was light and not overpowering with the mix of the chicken, croutons and outside wrap was a truly stellar combination. Very fresh and wasnt soggy one bit. the cookies: small black n white cookie, rainbow cookie and chocolate sprinkle and all were hits! my favorite was the black n white because the icing melts right off the soft cookie texture and tastes more like a cake than a cookie. All were amazing and is a must try when visiting. absolutely rec when you're on the east side!

Walking into the store from the corner entrance, directly in center there's a beverage station with coffee and tea dispensers. For a high-end specialty market, I've never understood why they only offer pre-made cold sandwiches and won't make sandwiches fresh to order. If I'm paying premium prices, I'd rather have a fresh sandwich than one that's been sitting in a refrigerator. I also find it odd that they've expanded to two locations while still offering a very limited selection of baked goods and freshly prepared foods. The market was at its best when the Greek chef worked there. Back then, the food was excellent and worth the price.
