It's a speakeasy at night and a deli during the day. You can see the toppings and options on the wall and there are many many options for sandwiches...4 pages of the menu. The meat was a bit skimpy for $15 but it was good.

Good stuff. I was looking for a no frills lunch place near museum mile and Fillmore fit the bill. You order at the counter and then sit down. They have a long list of sandwich options that made it hard to choose, but I ultimately went with their popular cheesesteak. It was a good choice. Ordering it on a roll instead of a hero was the right choice because I was not super hungry and it was the right amount of food. I would definitely come back if I am in the neighborhood.

I have been here multiple times and it has changed over the years. I usually get the philly cheesesteak or a pastrami sandwich. The sandwiches are typically quite tasty. They are on the heavier side, definitely not a light lunch, and can a little greasy (in a good way). I got a side of small fries the last time and it was a little disappointing. They are not fresh, just frozen fries. The prices, I guess, like all places are quite pricey for a sandwich. I do want to try their wings, they only have that on the night menu, so I will have to return.

The pastrami sandwich was delicious. Even though we arrived late the service was good. Actually I was surprised Korean people were working at that store. It gives the rock and roll ambiance.

An odd experience saved by good service! Was attending an event nearby so my husband and I popped into The Fillmore for some casual food and beers. It was a quiet night, no one else in the place except for some other patrons in the back. Things started off rocky.. went to the bathroom and there was no soap. Ordered a draft beer that it turns out wasn't actually on the current menu.. but they have a bottle! I say sure, then my husband wants one too... but they only have one left. No biggie, he gets another beer. We ordered the chopped cheese with fries and wings. Shortly after the server comes out and says that they actually don't have the wings but they can run out and grab some.. we say never mind and opt for another app instead (the Korean seafood pancake). When the food came out, first the chopped cheese came out with no fries. We noticed but figured they might come with the pancake. Then the pancake came and no fries so we said eh forget it we're in a bit of a rush and already getting full. Now I will say, the food was delicious! The chopped cheese hit so good, I devoured it immediately and normally I'm a slow eater. The pancake was tasty too and my husband particularly loved it. I wished there was some shrimp, it seemed like mostly squid and imitation crab? But overall it still satisfied. When we got the check the server apologized for the mishaps and took a beer off the check--something we really appreciated! It was an off night and that happens.. at least the food was still tasty and service stepped up when other things went wrong! Maybe closer to a 3.5 than a 4 but I'll give the benefit of the doubt until next time.

Walking by on a Sunday and decided to stop here to try the Philly cheesesteak and it was better than most bodegas I've tried here in New York. The vibe inside was really nice. I wonder what it's like at night. Also, I saw someone order a bbq beef sandwich. I want to try that next time. I'll be back!

Another delicious delivery (thank you GrubHub) from this Eastside deli. Sandwiches are well prepared and busting with flavor. I will have to make it to the deli to check out the prep and in-site scene.

I thought I was walking into a small breakfast/deli place. I had the Santa Fe omelette & a coffee. The menu items are extensive. I am sure there is something for everyone. Now I see it expands in the back. Can't wait to come back with my pals to see how it is for drinks.

Fillmore Combo on Hero (~$12), French Fries (~$6), Diet Coke (~$2)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Fillmore Combo on Hero (~$12): grilled pastrami, corned beef, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, Russian dressing French Fries (~$6) Diet Coke (~$2) Aya's take: I was craving some grilled pastrami and found myself here for a quick bite since I was in the area. The hero is soft and fresh, the grilled pastrami had that melt-in-your-mouth feel while the corned beef had a sweet, sour, and spicy meaty taste all at once. Both meats counterbalanced the coleslaw and Russian dressing nicely. The French Fries & Diet Coke really completed the meal for me. Fillmore Deli is a bit out of the way for me, but if you're in the UES and want a solid sandwich, you won't be disappointed.

This place is aggressively fine. Too greasy and heavy. I won't return but you might enjoy it if you like a greasy type cheesesteak.

It's a perfect date night spot to share deliciousness with a loved one. My friend and I shared three flavorful dishes-- a radicchio salad, the Confit Duck Leg and the Paccheri, a pasta with house- made pork sausage and broccoli rabe. The duck was so tender it fell off the bone. The pasta was intricate and tasted perfect when it was first served then veered a tad salty as it marinated (but still great). The salad was gorgeous on its own but even better accompanied by the mains. The duck was probably my favorite, but every bite complemented the next thing so well, that all of my senses were thoroughly engaged. I truly was having such a deep experience with the food that at one point I asked my friend to stop talking so that I could properly take in all the flavors. Oops. She loved the food too, so thankfully she understood. We topped off the meal with the buñuelos. We liked the sauce, but I'd say it's not memorable. I liked my orange wine, and my friend was indifferent about her drink. It was a pricey dinner but such a worthwhile experience. Can't wait to go back.

I've come to the conclusion that my customer service expectations are just too high for this city. Ambiance: 7/10 Felt like I was in someone's unfinished basement. Too spartan for my taste.

There's a camaraderie in the room that invites you to slow down, connect, and truly experience both the conversation and the food. Everything feels considered. My best friend and I each ordered the prix fixe menu, and it was a journey from start to finish. I began with the Spicy Corn & Coconut Soup--honestly, unforgettable. The crispy shallots added just the right amount of texture against the velvety base, and each spoonful layered flavor in a way that felt both comforting and elevated. For my main, I had the kichuri, and Chef Alex Guzman absolutely shines here. He is a star--full stop. There's a clarity and confidence in his cooking that you can taste. The cilantro chutney was perfection, and the way the mint lingers alongside the spice... it's the kind of balance that only comes from someone who truly understands their craft. You can feel his care in every bite. I ended with the key lime pie, and all I can say is thank you. The whipped cream was fresh and airy, the lime zest bright without overpowering, and the crust tied everything together beautifully. It felt like a thoughtful, intentional close to an already incredible meal. The space and volume seemed to overwhelm the staff at times. Service was friendly and welcoming but also frazzled and disorganized. We never received our appetizer until we reminded them, and our drinks (sweet tea and lemonade) also had to be requested again after a very long wait. To their credit, they did pack up the crab cake appetizer to go and removed it from the bill, which we appreciated. The fried chicken, mac and cheese, and yams were all served on top of each other. If you dont like for your food to touch, this place will be a nightmare for you. I ordered fried catfish, collard greens and potato salad. The fried catfish was served swimming in collard green juice (there's a picture of it). It was also surprising that you only get one piece of catfish, which felt underwhelming for the price, especially since it was soggy. The potato salad was served in a small separate bowl, which is typical in many Southern restaurants for ALL side dishes. The mac and cheese had good flavor but the cheese wasn't fully melted. The yams were dry and not very sweet despite the menu description. The collard greens were on the sweeter side, which may work for some but wasn't my preference. The potato salad the only thing that was solid. Overall, it felt overpriced for the portion sizes and execution. The bartender seemed very skilled, and the drinks we saw being made looked great, though we didn't order any. After the long wait and missing appetizer, we skipped dessert and went elsewhere. The bathroom also needed attention and was not well maintained AT ALL! Ew The restaurant is very loud which didn't bother me at all but an FYI. It is also handicapped accessible and kid friendly. I really wanted to love the experience, but it fell below expectations in terms of service, cleanliness, and value. I might give them another try but no time soon.
