Holy Moly, their cookies are fantastic! Picked up 3 of them on the way into town: Triple Choco…read moreChip, S'mores, and M&M. Where to start, or better yet, where to start eating???? The cookies are large so snacking on them is a dangerous road to go down, but oh, so worth it! I left then on a plate on my counter and as the day went on the cookies started to disappear. Luckily I had family to help me, but these are great cookies! No pictures of the whole cookies because they were started on before I could grab my camera. They will be gone by bedtime, I'm sure. These have flavor, unlike some others that are just plain dough with little flavor except for the chips or m&ms. Every bite is great!

Went to Turkey & the Toad for the first time today after seeing a sidewalk sign advertising their…read morefrozen lemonade. That caught my attention, so I ordered one. My friend ordered a scotcheroo and a coffee. I watched the frozen lemonade being made, and it consisted of water, syrup from a refrigerated jug, a couple scoops of powder, and ice. Unfortunately, it tasted very artificial, more like frozen plastic than lemonade. I'd encourage the owner to consider using real lemons or more natural ingredients, as I think it would make a huge difference. My friend said the scotcheroo and coffee were good, but not particularly memorable.

Yesterday was just wonderful, got to appreciate the outdoor seating since the weather was a perfect 73°. The hanging pansy basket was just stunning, looks like the award winning ones that are on sale at the west Allice farmers market. If that's the case I love that they're supporting local. And the whole block is in theme with the same color palette of hanging baskets!! I thought the next time I came would be to dive into one of their pies. Lo and behold I had to go with what I had last time, since it was so good! The apple danish. Chefs kiss! It hit the spot, and it's dangerous because you could be so full yet you just want...another. Additionally today I got the mocha scone, it sounded promising. It didn't mark anything special for me, but I'm glad I gave it a try. The icing tasted like as if a chocolate espresso bean took icing form, it was very visually appealing and was more on the coffee side for flavor. I felt like it wasn't dry, but it wasn't very moist? Can anything with raspberries be bad? In my book, almost never. That being said I also got the raspberry cheese danish, a classic, they're generous on the raspberry jam. The woman at the counter was personable which is always pleasant especially in a bakery, even when you're tired . Everybody walking through the neiborhood weather intentionally going, or just passing by seemed to stop in. They have a punch card for $5 off after the 10th visit. It can be punched at 3 different locations, a cheese shop and a meat shop! The cheese shop downtown has been on the go-2 list. I know I'll be back here, for one of the pies, for real this time. And for the cutest jar of sprinkles I've ever seen on a shelf.
