While eating I got to speak the owner (I believe she was). She was from Arizona so we are both dual citizens. We had a good talk about Dump decimating the US. The owner is a very liberal, accepting, kind person. Makes you feel good to support businesses run by compassionate people. The service was great. Food was phenomenal. Being a huge foodie and very fluent home chef, I was extremely disappointed to find the eggs over-poached, the hollandaise bland and too runny, and the spinach was cold. My side of ham also came out 5 minutes later, and very much resembled a piece of fried bologna sliced in half. I would like to give Coco Frutti another chance, but I doubt it will be in the near future, and I'm positive it will not be the Napanee location.

She said people are enjoying the first really warm evening of the season. We both got their fish n' chips. It's an Alaskan Pacific haddock as opposed to cod or others used. This is superior to other fish n' chips I've had. This is delicious. Fries were good too, but the fish was the real star and about the best fried fish I've had.

It is owned by the community of islanders themselves and operates as a nonprofit restaurant. The employees are volunteers. I had a burger which was well made and was generous in portion. Coleslaw can vary quite a bit, but I really enjoyed theirs. Their prices are quite reasonable. They apparently have dinner specials each night and also serve as an ice cream stand. If I ever find myself on Amherst Island again I'll definitely be back.
