The staff was super friendly though, but clearly for a weekday, they're not going to be fully staffed so the snack shack wasn't staffed. To caveat: my kid isn't a fan of bounce houses but I knew he would maybe enjoy the corn pit, the farm animals, the arcade and the pedal cars but 1) the corn pit was smaller than expected and was full of corn weevils (which ChatGPT helped me identify are harmless beetles but still gross), 2) there were only two goats and we didn't have coins to dispense the goat food but they were cute and bleated at us constantly after I managed to feed them some goat food off the floor (sorry!), 3) the arcade was "too loud" for my kid, 4) and the pedal cars wouldn't work. Womp womp. He did enjoy the gem mining and the Tetris Tumbler game and he did enjoy the corn pit until we discovered all the bugs. We chose a Noble Fir last year and a Nordman this year; there are various tree sizes to choose from, and we went with 7-8 ft in height. It feels good to support youth and this fundraiser for their scout camps and activities. Prices are on par when compared to other tree lots, too.
