What a great family business. Located on Reliez Valley Road, you have the choice of cutting your own tree or selecting folsom a wide range of Grand Fir, Fir, Nordman, and Douglas pines. Heights run above 10 feet. I suggest, if you can, going at night. The location is a blaze of light in an otherwise pitch dark space. It's beautiful. Helping you get your tree home are local high school students earning some money. I am thankful for the diligent tie-down job one young man did for our 7.5er. I hope you check 'em out. The people were very nice and it was a cute spot but it wasn't a huge selection and I really did not expect the trees to all be so expensive! Most were around $160 and there didn't seem to be any in the $60-70 range that I was used to, unless we missed something. We ended up getting an 8' noble fir for $230 all in (including 15% tax and $30 tip) since we had driven all the way there and didn't want to go somewhere else. Great quality and lovely trees, but for the price next time I think we'll just do the lot. read more

I'd like to faucet first that I've been to this location a few years ago and had a great experience. Years past we've went to farms where we cut our own tree down. This year with my wife not feeling very well, we decided to find a farm for a tree, again. This was our first location we went to, we're familiar with it. We thought prices were reasonable, why not? We ended up going to three tree farms and obviously we left this place empty handed. The prices were absolutely ridiculous. I kid you not, I booked a flight for two to Hawaii round trip and it was cheaper then buying a Christmas tree here. Nobody greeted us, we were in and out very quickly. The tree farm we did go to? We felt like our business was valued, workers were attentive and helpful. We got our tree, our beauty for HALF the price that this farm was selling. I understand inflation, I understand it all. I've come from the grocery business. These prices are flat our wrong. It's a beautiful place, don't get me wrong. But way too expensive. read more

Alhambra Christmas Tree farm was such a special experience for my son and I. They had a huge selection of many different fresh trees, and the customer service was outstanding. Still can't believe we are lucky enough to live only about 10-15 minutes from this farm. They had hot cider and popcorn to offer to the shoppers. Some of the best hot cider I've had. It was also a fun experience for us to pick out a tree while it was raining out. We almost had the farm to ourselves that day. We will definitely be back every year. read more

Wonderful little farm with a country-like experience but in the east bay within a short drive. They have a variety of trees and sizes and a cut your own section which our 14 month old enjoyed roaming around. Some of the reviews mentioned the prices were higher compared to your corner tree lot /Home Depot but for us, Alhambra's farm was definitely worth the positive experience. We got our 7' tree from Home Depot last year for about ~$15 less but it was a hectic and unpleasant experience with a rushed assembly line setup. Roaming at Alhambra's with space for the little one to walk around was just the atmosphere we wanted for Christmas tree shopping. The staff were very proactive and helpful and we'll be back again next year. read more

First time going there on recommendation of friends. Staff were wonderfully helpful, selection of trees was fantastic, fresh and set up in rows of watered stands so easy to see the actual size, shape & quality of them. As mentioned in Saul's review, family run, family friendly. We met the owners and one of the helpers took fambly pics of us on the wagon with hay bale they have in front of the trees. Due to Covid, no popcorn this year. They did have a good selection of small trees, and douglas firs in the $70-$90 range. read more

We heard about these guys from 510 Families. They're a really lovely, relaxed tree farm in a beautiful area of the East Bay. I loved that they had popcorn and cider (on the weekend), as well as a lamb that my daughter could pet. They also had a cute tractor and hay bale for photo ops, in case the typical tree pics are too last year for you. There's a variety of tiny (but really beautiful) 2' trees, and a really wonderful selection of 4-5 footers, and so so many 6'+ trees. I actually had trouble choosing, there were so many good tree options for our unique space. I highly recommend this farm for a lovely family outing, without having to jump through all the hoops of train/pony/hayrides at larger farms. read more

Waaaay over priced and not a great looking selection. We love a cut it down yourself farm and that is what we thought we would find according to the website at this farm and it was not the case. There is a very small lot of small cut it down yourself trees, when we saw this section we didn't even bother with the cut-it-down ourself. We browsed through the trees that were brought in from Oregon and found the prices to be well above what we were expecting. We left went to the lot by Safeway in Pleasant Hill and found a ton of beautiful trees, more of a variety of sizes for much less of the cost. read more

We loved this place! My honey and I didn't want to go to some parking lot somewhere for our tree but didn't really have time to drive out of town. I saw this place on Yelp and it was so worth seeing! It's just far enough out of town to feel kind of special and it feels totally Christmasy! They have gorgeous trees and are very helpful and honest! My husband and I grew up going to Christmas tree farms to cut down our trees. When he brought me to Larsen's in Petaluma where he went as a kid I was a little taken aback by the Monterey pines and their long needles. But I began to love the beauty of the Monterey pine when it was in our living room, and that kind of tree is so amazingly strong it could stay fresh until Easter! I didn't want to make the long drive to Larsen's this year so I found this place which is much closer to us and grows their own Monterey pines (as well as offering a large selection of pre-cut trees of other types). We didn't know what to expect when we went, and it was a blast!! We loved the friendly people who run the place, the popcorn and apple cider, the countryside atmosphere, the family photos they took of us on their tractor, and the u-cut trees. We feel like the extra expense of cutting our own tree is totally worth it. Our kids LOVED cutting it down and hauling it to the cashier. Yes, the trees are more expensive than Home Depot but you're paying for the family experience which is priceless to us! And you get a tree that is so fresh it could last until spring! We have a fondness for Larsen's so we can't say anything against it, but this place is a better fit for us. We are already looking forward to our visit to Alhambra Tree Farm next year! read more

Ummmmmm....amazing! This is being added to my "best thing ever" list! We were so tempted by a few more visible lots but got frustrated with selection and made the drive. It was festive, there was popcorn and gifts, etc. We bought on a Saturday (*expert tip: trees are delivered on a Tuesday). We "adopted" a tree with a flaw or two and they gave us a small discount. In the end, the tree was an excellent addition to our family and we bought a baby for our daughters room, too. read more

Every Christmas I enjoy driving to the country in search of a charming tree farm. Last year, I decided tree shopping was just a chore that needed to be done in a short amount of time. This is when I discovered Alhambra Tree Farm. Only 20 mins away from Crockett, I still enjoyed a country drive down winding roads through the Alhambra Valley. It was a lovely rainy day in December 2015 as I and my 3 year old son explored the neat rows displaying a nice variety of trees. The service on the lot was helpful and for the first time I purchased garland for my home. I can't remember the price, but I remember thinking it was totally reasonable. My son had a memorable time, I took many photos of course. We picked the perfect tree and they helped us tie it down to my car. This is a great spot, convenient to West Contra Costa. I even encourage folks in Vallejo to check it out if you want a lovely 40 minute drive. read more

Our 2nd year in a row coming to Alhambra Christmas Tree Farm. This is the latest we have bought a tree and the selection of trees at Alhambra was fantastic. We bought a Douglas Fur that was just delivered to Alhambra and it smells fabulous, We looked at many trees. The two young men that helped us Cole and Mark were awesome with No pressure from them both making sure we picked the correct tree for Santa's Visit. Tis the season, so whether here or anywhere TIP the help that ties your tree down to your vehicle!.On a serious note we picked out a tree just a bit over 7 feet out the door with tax $67 tied up on top of our Vehicle. First of all, i have no idea why the other 1 star rating said the selection was bare and overpriced? For me and my family, in fact, this was the only place in the area where we found multiple types of trees that were healthy and not dry! As for the price, the trees are not cheap 20$ trees by any means...That being said, for the quality ( a beautiful healthy tree), the price was perfect! Finally, the wonderful atmosphere and free popcorn only added to the joy my kids and I had finding our tree at a family farm, instead of a pop out parking lot tree store! This year they've got an excellent selection and variety of trees we had never seen before to pick from, and their staff is as wonderful and friendly as ever.
