I am celebrating my first Christmas as a married man hence the need to decorate! Found Stanley Family Trees on Yelp and off we went! It's located on Stevenson and Blacow with tons of parking. They had tons of trees of all sizes and shapes. My wife wanted Noble and since it was just the two of us we wanted something on the smaller size (5-6 feet). We looked for a few minutes and found the perfect Noble. Young employee there saw us, asked if needed help and immediately grabbed the tree I told him I wanted. He started putting the wood piece at the bottom. We paid at the trailer. They accept Apple Pay! Our bill was about $90 (it's the Bay Area, everything is expensive here). The lady at the counter even hooked us up with a free bag of that stuff that keeps the tree alive and the needles from dropping. Overall in and out very quickly and got exactly what we wanted. In terms of constructive criticism, I would recommend the employees help get the tree to the customers car. By the time I finished loading, I had a ton of sticky sap on my hands that took a while to get out. If Stanley is back again next year, I know where I'll be getting my tree! read more

Came by last night to get our first real tree ever. Found a BEAUTIFUL Fraser Fir, but got home and the poor girl was dropping needles quicker than we could clean them up. I called and spoke with Mr. Stanley the next morning and he helped me to understand the reason and normalcy in that, but still kindly gave me the option to come back in and exchange it for peace of mind. When we came back today, the customer service was BEYOND exceptional from everyone, but especially Mr. Stanley himself. He really stood by his product and was focused on making sure we had the best tree! He made a customer for life, and we will certainly be back next year! read more

Great trees! We got a good sized Noble Fir at a great price ($49.99, see picture). Tree is healthy, no dead patches, full and trimmed very well. Probably one of the best and easiest we've gotten in years. Extra pluses: They keep the trees in water, yay! There were a large variety of trees here beyond just noble and Douglas firs, more than I've seen at most lots in this area. If you're someone who worries about mud, there is plenty of wood chips down and no big puddles (even post storm). There was also cute wreaths and little wooden reindeer for sale. They will cut the bottom off your tree for you, and they take card. Overall, we are very satisfied customers, this is arguably one of the best tree lots in the area! I went with my son to this tree lot for our Christmas tree. My son was so excited to chose a tree. When we told one of the men, he told me to carry it to the register and when I did he did not offer any help. It was not a small tree either. Then when I asked him if o could get help putting on my car as my young son couldn't help me. He said they don't help with putting trees by my car or even on the cars. My son is only 8 and his expression looked worried. I as a 5 foot tall woman and a tree taller than me, he refused to help me bring to my car. So I had to ask a few more times. He did so begrudgingly. When I thanked him, he ignored me and left with an angry expression. My son came to the lot with smiles and excitement. He sensed the angry attitude of that little man and my son was quiet and looked afraid as we left. I would rather get a fake tree than return to this sketchy tree lot. read more

Found this place on yelp since we were around here for lunch and wanted to buy a tree from somewhere nearby. The lot is well lit and has all trees on stands. That's a plus for first time buyers like us because we didn't know a lot about picking the healthiest tree and wouldn't know much if the trees are just laying around. We walked through all and then asked one of the employees there to help us. He was really knowledgable and directed us to the best one there. we ended up getting Noble Fir for $59.99 and a $20 stand which can be reused year over year. I visited other places week before and none of them had such cheap rates. They even helped us load our car. Overall great experience! read more

We've been getting our Christmas trees here for a couple years and they never disappoint. I haven't even considered going somewhere else. I get great Customer Service when I come here and they have the best selection. Pricing is low considering what you get. The trees are always fresh and they will even prep the tree and help you tie it up on top of your car. The staff here is always super friendly even when its a little hectic. They have a good selection of sizes and items. They also have wreaths and flocked trees (flocked trees are the ones that look like they have snow). Also, buy the gel beads they have in the front, they really do make the difference and make your tree last longer. I always get them as I am an early bird putting up Christmas, I usually do it the day after Thanksgiving so I need mine to last. I would recommend this place and will continue to come here. read more

I have been going to Stanley's for years as I prefer to support family ran businesses. This year I spent nearly $100 on a Douglas which included $10 fee for a plastic and wood mounted tree/water stand. Paid $5 tip to the guy that hammered it on and put it on top of my Jeep. I'm a single mom, me and my daughter barely got the tree inside our house and began to decorate it. Had placed the tree on a small table so my dog couldn't destroy it and added the water to the stand. Woke up in the AM to find all the water leaked out and ruined my wood table. I called the owner Bob, explainer the situation. That is was near impossible for me to load the dam tree back to him to fix it. Besides the 3 hours spent on purchasing the tree and decorating it, only to have to take everything off and do it again. Bob wasn't very helpful. Said my only option was to get it back to him to "fix it". Didn't offer to refund any of my money for the inconvenience or the ruined (and expensive) solid wood table. I'll be buying from Home Depot from now on since I can expect better customer service. Sad, annoying and ruined our tradition. read more

DO NOT GO HERE EMPLOYEES ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. I believe in being patient with service and retail people especially around this time of year. We saw that it was busy so we carried our tree to the check out area and when someone finally came to help us they did the fresh cut on the trunk then disappeared while at least 5 families who arrived after us were helped from start to finish by other employees. When we finally pointed out the amount of time we'd been waiting the employees became extremely aggravated and started putting words in our mouth like "oh that lady says they've been waiting for a whole hour poor them" when no one ever claimed we had been waiting for a whole hour. No reasonable person would stand around in a tree lot for that amount of time. We ended up taking the tree to our car ourselves untied, when their comments got more aggressive. Literally the worst customer experience I've ever had. You'd be better off cutting down a tree on the side of the road than going here. read more

This is the worst place to ever buy a Christmas tree there's no holiday spirit at all they do not greet us at all my little boy wave hi ask for a Candycane and they refused to give him one his only 3 years I remember when I was a kid it was always happy thing picking out trees thats the best parts of the holidays I have no idea why was this guy so angry and grumpy and the lady was a little off she seemed very confused like she didn't know what she was doing my husband asked for help and the guy are his workers didn't even come see we had to just find stuff ourselves I did not feel comfortable at all my kids Felt unwelcome like come on we been through a hard crazy time wit this Pandemic at least show a smile welcome people make somebody happy I do not recommend this place for anybody please do not come here at all read more

We decided to get an already cut tree this year from a place that would flock them and found SFT. They were amazing with helping guide us through the lot and even with loading the tree onto the car. They even have tree preserves to extend the tree life. I haven't tried the preserve before but will see how this year goes. Prices seem to be a bit more on the higher end, but freshness and variety seem abundant. I look forward to visiting again next season! read more

After paying, my husband asked for help to take the tree to the car and the old white man said that they'd only help "incapable people." What?!?! The service is second to none and we look forward to making the almost two hour drive from our home to get our trees from this small business. The owners are friendly, professional, and go far above and beyond to make sure that their customers are happy. I went here about a week ago with my family my nephew picked out a beautiful tree they told us it was $280 but the tag clearly said $180 but we didn't care because my nephew loved it so we payed for our tree and the lady at the cash register did not give us a receipt so we was waiting for them to put our tree on our car for about 30 minutes and when we asked someone what was going on the said we never paid for it and we needed too leave so we asked them to look at the receipts and they refused and proceeded to tell us to leave We ended up calling the cops and the cops looked and found our receipt they still did not give our money back, so we lost close to $300 and did not get a tree I do not recommend going here they are racist and they steal your money and the owner does not wear a mask and none of them were gloves they do not take COVID-19 serious and they are scammers if you are looking to get a tree for your family I recommend going somewhere else or getting a fake tree If I could've give them no stars I would've lol read more

We just got our trees here. The owner and workers were very nice and I feel the prices are reasonable given there's a tree shortage this year. We had been to another place and liked there was a nicer/better selection of trees here. We always buy 6-7ft for our living room and then 3-4ft for my son's bedroom. I went on here to give a good review, but did read the other comments. I find it odd and also wrong for multiple people to say the same thing over the same incident. I do believe in three sides to every story - yours, theirs, and the truth. Knowing how police are, they're not getting involved in anything and saying it's a civil matter doesn't mean anything other than them remaining neutral. Also, the two trees we bought, we had flocked. The tag did say a price (which is the price before having it flocked) and had to pay $10 per foot to have it flocked. That seems to be the same as the issue noted below with tag showing lesser price, and having to pay more for it to be flocked. read more

I got my Christmas tree from here last Wednesday night. I brought it home excited only to be grossed out one hour after I brought it home. I found worms squirming on my wooden floor under the tree. They had fallen off the tree and were squirming non stop. They were about 1/2 to 2 inches long, are very thin and look much like hookworms. I saw about seven on the floor and Immediately had my son remove the tree outside. It made trail of worms as more had dropped as the host was exiting outside. When I called the owner (tel number in the credit card receipt) the following day, he reluctantly agreed to refund the money if we bring the tree back. I didn't want the tree back on or in my car in fear that that would infest my car, but had no choice. I decided that I would wrap it up in a tarp and return but didn't have time till today. I called this morning again and the owner refused to refund. He maintains that I could've used it for some company event and now returning it after its use. We didn't mention how soon I needed to return the tree on Thursday when he agreed to refund, but today, he mentions that it had to be returned on the same day. Of course I didn't know that but I give him credit for giving me a good reason for his denial to refund now after three days later. If my tree was infested, others may be too.
