Came for dinner on Friday night and it wasn't too busy. This is a seafood-focused restaurant, so it's definitely a splurge meal. The menu requires a bit of deciphering because some things are priced per unit, some per KG (with minimums that are not listed), and some per serving, so just look closely and ask questions so you know what you are getting. This style of restaurant is unique and the first time I have eaten this way. You steam the food above a pot of congee which takes on some flavor from the meat, then you eat the congee at the end of the meal. Lots of delicious options, and I especially loved the handmade shrimp balls - I wouldn't miss those! Also be aware of the timing on the cooking. We relied on the servers to tell us when things were ready, and we may have left some things a little too long... be vigilant!!

Food and service were good until the bill came out. They were literally staring at me, looking at how much I tip. I had a total of $620 on me, so I gave it all--$500 cash plus a $46 tip for two people. Then the server proceeded to ask me, "Why only $46? Is the service not good?" and asked me to write down why I tipped only that much. Keep in mind, tipping is not mandatory. It made me really uncomfortable when the waitress kept staring at me as I paid my bill. Maybe the boss needs to pay employees a little more so they don't have to worry about people tipping less than 20%. I would tip more if I had more to give, and there's always next time when I come back and realize I should overtip because I was treated nicely and they didn't bother me about my tip. But forget it--I won't come back because of how they made me feel on my birthday. That's karma. To whoever owns this place, please don't force your servers to ask customers why they don't tip at least 20%. Remember, tipping is optional and should only be discussed after service is rendered, including when the customer is trying to pay.

Please be cautious. My group suffered severe food poisoning after eating here. We noticed a few items, specifically the steamed pork dumplings, tasted off and old. We reached out to management to resolve this privately, but they were unhelpful. Given the high prices here, we expected much better food safety standards. The servers on the other hand were extremely helpful and courteous. 5 stars for them. It's a shame because the service was great, but the food safety standards were unacceptable.

If you enjoy Cantonese style seafood, this is the place. They have a wide variety of seafood where they steam it table side for you and they cook the congee at the bottom with all the seafood drippings. A very unique combination for sure. We ordered geoduck, razor clams, cabbage, a whole fish, and spare ribs congee to share among three people. A bit pricey but good quality and fresh seafood. The servers were also very friendly. Will likely come back when I crave seafood again.

Very fresh sea food and friendly service! Mia has been very helpful and nice to us :)

Very unique experience where they cook the food for you table-side. It's nice that you get perfectly cooked fresh seafood that way without you worrying about over or under cooking anything. The scallops I got were especially good. Great service for real. The congee at the end with all the flavors from your order was a nice touch. Would recommend if you're looking for a new and different sort of seafood experience

I highly recommend this place. The food was all very fresh and delicious. All the dishes I ordered was amazing. What I like is you can make your own sauce at the sauce bar. The service was definitely top notch. They cook all your food at the table for you and portion out for you after done. Underneath the steamer is your choice of porridge or soup. So all the food you order, the flavor of all your items drops down to your choice of porridge or soup, which was all very complimenting at the end of the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is kind of a place where you can gather with friends and family and either get loud and have fun. Can also be a place to catch up with your close ones but do not expect a candle light dinner type of thing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Best live seafood in town. They provided excellent service. Top of the freshness. Will definitely come visit again!

It consistently receives positive reviews; the service is excellent, and they assist with steaming the food throughout the meal. Although it's a bit expensive, the food is very fresh.

If you're a seafood lover, this is the place to be! The steamed fresh seafood here is absolutely amazing. I especially enjoyed the king crab and shrimp -- they're steamed right at the table, and the natural juices drip into the pot to make a flavorful porridge at the end. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not only delicious but also a unique and fun dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also offer noodle options, which pair perfectly with the seafood. A big shoutout to our server May -- she was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Highly recommend!

The food remained fresh as usual, but the service was a bit strange and off, especially when it came to larger parties (consisting of at least 4 people). We visited on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was relatively empty with no waiting line. The service was decent, but nothing extraordinary or particularly exceptional. After finishing our meal, we decided to split the bill into two separate payments, and we also split the tips accordingly. However, to our surprise, the staff insisted that we give additional tips, demanding at least an 18% tip for each bill, even though we were all part of the same party and had already given a 15% tip on each bill. Our total bill at the end around $300 The staff explained that they needed to justify this to their boss and insisted that we couldn't leave until we complied. It was the first time I had ever encountered such a situation, and it left me with the feeling that the restaurant was taking advantage of customers, despite tips being discretionary and based on appreciation.

Food is great, but definitely on the expensive side. They will ask you to choose a soup base, which will be steamed at the bottom of the pot and served at the end in a porridge form, so don't be full before getting to the porridge which is very filling! On top of the soup base, they will ask you to order seafood, which will be steamed. We ordered a selection of clams as well as fish, which in hindsight is definitely two much for 2 people. The seafood are not seasoned for the fresh taste, but there are sauces at a small corner, which I do recommend getting unless you are shooting for just the fresh taste of the seafood. Ended up spending ~$90 per person after tax and tip. Although the food tastes great, since they are just steamed, I wonder if I can also just buy fresh seafood from the market and cook myself to reach the same taste..

The place is in a big shopping center so there are quite many places to park. The restaurant is very modern and clean, I liked it right away. There are quite a few dishes to choose from. We ordered from the kiosk and I was amazed that how inexpensive this place is. Everything we wanted to order costs less than $15 and seems to be plentiful. I wanted the Cajun Fish Battered Tacos with flour tortillas, french fries and zucchini. There are quite a few types of drinks that are good. My order was made wrong, cajun fish without battered and they fixed it with only one but I didn't want to bother. One cajun fish taco and a battered fish tacos (not cajun), may be the cook couldn't wait to leave because they close early at 6PM due to 250 years of independence. Anyhow, the battered fish is very crispy and delicious, the cajun fish without batter is a little dry but still tasty. The french fries are crispy and good. The zucchini is excellent. For less than $15, my plate is plentiful and tasty. My brother in-law got the protein bowl which looked quite tempting. Next time definitely will make sure they have the Cajun Fish Battered tacos for me LOL. Too bad they don't have one in Fremont. After dinner we went to shop at TJMaxx and nordstrom rack near by, quite nice.

Food is meant to be shared, but my group all got separate entrees. I ordered the garlic shrimp rice plate, which was filling just for one person. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough shrimp! Flavor was garlicky, but not salty enough. This is probably a good thing, since you can adjust to your own dietary preference. A bit on the oily side (hence filling), but that's to be expected with garlic shrimp. The night we went, there was a birthday party happening in their private room. It was really loud and noisy, so it was hard to hear folks. Our server was nice, but fortunately for us he spoke loud enough for us to hear him despite all the loud music! Parking can be tough as it's in a residential area of DC with most of the parking being residential. So you might need to walk! Overall, I give this place a solid 3.5 stars - tasty food and pretty good service. Knocking down half a star for a somewhat subpar (loud/noisy) ambiance. I'd probably go back again, but for take out only.
