Ok.... wanna try this new place. This place same as before. Only table changed. New paint. Same owner as before I guessed. Services soso. Never could give me a good answe of what I asked. So confused. Food is kinda pricy. Nothing special. I weather go to hot pot restaurant allot better than this. And they will needed a better ventlation systems. I smell like a fish. First of all, the service is too bad! I feel frustrated when being forced to order more seafood! The concept is nice, but comon you can steam your food at home, nothing special. They are not marinated, only soy sauce and chili sauce. Last week crab is only $4/lb, so imagine how much overpriced this place is. I paid 95$/2, without even getting full. Also, i had to pay the 15% tipped, why i actually cooked the food myself due to inattentive servers. Overall, avoid this place at all cost. They need to change their service asap. read more

Food: this steam hot pot place is the first of it's kind in the Bay Area, where you can really enjoy the original taste, no oil or msg used. The food comes out very flavorful, especially the seafood, add a glass of Chardonnay, ummm ummmm good! You would not be able to taste it in any traditional restaurants. My favorite is the clams, oysters and geoduck, just the perfect amount of salt water taste. Not to mention the soup or porridge you can enjoy at the end. Service: just awesome, especially the pretty waitress Nicole, very polite and attentive! From setting the temperature and timer, then serve you when it's done. So I tried to introduce my friend over to try their best seafood, however, they only very small amount of seafood today, I totally understand that after four of July and long weekend, it normal to ran out of things, therefore, I decided to go to similar restaurant, so I wanted to pay out because we ordered a wine and some appetizers, but they told me there's minimum spending, and of course I understand that, but almost 5 items I wanted in the menu they ran out, maybe because of four of July and the long weekend, so I definitely understand, I just wanted to pay out since we really want seafood night. Lol the servers and I believe it's the manager were so nice and explaining to me, love this place, good services, this place always had the best seafood, and I love the seafood here, I left with apology that I cannot spend the minimum since they ran out of most of the seafood, they also have others food available but for seafood I'm out if they don't have the seafood I want. They bring a set of ingredients to build your own sauce: tons of fresh garlic, green onions, soy sauce, chili oil, and jalapeños. The chili oil tastes homemade and the sauce you make paired well with everything. Finally, everything you steam drips into the soup base you ordered to finish the meal, leaving you warm and refreshed. Food was actually really tasty and really fresh, I have been missing the taste of their food after I last went with a group of friends. A couple of things to note before you come here: this is not an ideal place for 2 or 3 people. The meal takes at least 2 hours to finish, and it will be a less pleasant experience if you have a very small party. I would highly recommend 5-10 people, as you will be able to try much more varieties and spend more time with your friends / families while waiting for the food to cook. The highlight of the meal is not only the fresh/live seafood, for me I think the best dish was the porridge at the end!!! That's where all the "freshness" and all the flavors are!!!! Make sure you patiently cook your seafood and wait for the porridge to be ready at the end. Now that being said, a large group of us really enjoyed the food and the experience. Now why am I only giving it 3 stars? Others were right, their servers are not the most friendly or the most attentive ones. They are constantly not responding to our requests and ignoring our orders. They don't tell you what's going on, and will try to push for the expensive items. This will be a much more successful restaurant if these servers know how to be precessional and know how to respect their patrons. I don't mind paying $100 /person for good food, but I hated their slow and unresponsive servers. read more

Everything came out super fresh. I even saw him pull the fish and shrimp outta the tank. They don't use any seasonings on any of the fish but when they steam it u can smell the great aroma ( I think it's bc everything so fresh) the service was great! Third time at this place and I really need to write a review for them. I feel like they are ripping people off. The first time we went there on Feb 23 before their grand opening for 6 people. Second time was beginning of April with only 3 people. And we went there again today for party of 6. They add 15% service charge for 6 or more people which was totally fine with us. However you could NEVER figure out how they calculate the tax and tips. For example: if the bill was $100 then they will charge you $10.57 when the wording and tax rate is only 9% which is $9. Then they will charge you 15% service based on $110.57. Which it will be $16.59 instead $16.35. There make $1.81 more based on a $100 bill. How much extra do you think they can make based on this strategy per day by ripping people off?? The first we paid the extra $4-$5. This time I just simply asked them to remove the service charge and I will still give them 15%. It has been 3 months since they are open and they still haven't fix this problem. The answer that they gave me was "This is how it is by computer. We didn't change anything." Well, then CHANGE IT!!! read more

This review is from two month ago approximately, when this place was still open (now they are temporarily closed). If you're in the neighborhood and craving some Chinese food like my girlfriend and I were, then you should definitely check this place out. Fresh Elements is a breath of fresh air when it comes to this type of food and seafood in general! We had to wait a little to get a seating but once that hick-up was over, it was smooth sailing. I didn't expect it but they the food will make it worth. Everything is served fresh but you're basically cooking/steaming your food in front of your eyes. You choose your soup or porridge base and each dish is basically done on a hotpot. Of course the staff manages the timing of the dishes but I enjoyed the whole process. I had the chicken with cordycaps flower which was something I didn't have before and my girl had the spareribs with a fresh yam congee base. It was unique.
