So this is a stop I have been meaning to come by for some time now, thanks to Saira K.'s review of the place. I've also been wanting to give Pakistani food a proper chance because the last time I tried Pakistani food I had to give 1-star to for making me vomit, so tacked on another reason for me coming here. Another thing helping its case was that it wasn't too far a walk for me from the Bridgeport Station, so it was a relatively straightforward travel to get here. Tonight was finally my night to go. I will start by saying Saira knows exactly what she is talking about with this place. The owners and employees are friendly people, they do give you fast service, and they do an excellent job packing your food. You can eat inside if you've got the time, but I had to get takeout on this one. I still had to walk 20 minutes back to the station, so eating in wasn't much of an option in my case. As you might have noticed however, I did have to take off a star. Why? Well, to put it this way, if you have problems with your vision, bring a friend with you who can read the menu! The lighting made the overhead menus difficult to see, so I did have to get the man behind the counter to grab me a handheld copy of the menu. This was much easier on the eyes. Now, usually, I do also normally take off a star if the place is a cash only place because cash only makes a return visit more of a longer shot, but luckily I had already known about this before coming after reading some other reviews, and there is an ATM in the Baghdad Mart next door, so it wasn't a huge deal this time around. Now for the food, they do heat food in the microwave as I watched with the biryani that came in my order, but this was likewise not a big deal. Why? Because when I got back to the station to try the food, it was indeed tasty! For my order, I did a Beef Nehari and Garlic Naan, and it came with a salad that had a spicy salad dressing to it. It was a large bag of food too! Wanna know how much it was? $25! That ain't bad, and the food is worth the price! That naan was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. Even though the rice was microwaved, it was cooked just right. The Beef Nehari was spicy for sure, but the meat itself was tender and flavorful. The spice did not overpower the flavor here, and that can be a make-or-break deal depending on your relationship with spice. If they only started accepting card payments here, I'd gladly come again whenever I have time between trains. But yeah, even though the food and service is worth the full 5, the one thing I can't overlook is the difficulty reading the menu.

From a creative idea it quickly became a dish available in the cities and towns of the Netherlands. Eventually it crossed the borders of Europe, and now available in Bridgeport CT. My wife and I are originally from the Netherlands, or as we say Holland, and familiar with 'kapsalon.' So we didn't wait any longer and made our way to WoW Kebab & Gyros. The restaurant is located at the corner, and we parked on the street. We walked in, and I was hoping to meet somebody with a connection with Holland. It's always good to meet people from the homeland. Hassan greeted me, and we started talking. No connection with Holland, but with other countries in Europe. And because 'kapsalon' had arrived in Berlin, Hassan knew about it and brought it to the US of A. While Isak, prepared our meal (hope I wrote his name right). Hassan and I talked about life, and other stuff cool people talk about. When he however showed me and had me taste the sambal sauce (a spicy chilly originated in Indonesia) and his garlic sauce, my heart skipped a beat. YES! Finally! Oh, man did I long for this. Hassan I'm forever grateful you decided to come to Bridgeport (Yeah, I know Black Rock). Eventually the 'kapsalon' was ready to go. We said our goodbyes. I think I left Hassan with a little anxiety when I told him I'm going to review them in Yelp. Any how we came home and got ready to eat 'kapsalon.' We will meet again, and I will bring friends to experience a taste of Rotterdam in Bridgeport/Black Rock almost Fairfield.
