This was my first time trying Fresh Kitchen and it's literally right next to Chipotle, but I decided to switch it up and try something different. I'm so glad I did. You can immediately tell how fresh and healthier everything is. I tried the barbecue chicken and it was amazing. Super flavorful and paired really well with the sides I chose. Service was quick and really friendly. Since it was my first time and they weren't busy, they let me sample different items and even encouraged me to try more so I could figure out what I liked. That extra attention made the experience feel welcoming and not rushed at all. They have indoor dining, but I especially love the outdoor seating since it's right in the heart of town. The ambiance outside is lively and perfect for people watching while you eat. Overall, such a great healthy fast casual option. Definitely glad I chose this over my usual Chipotle run. I could literally eat here every single day and never get tired of it. Fresh Kitchen feels like home to me. The food quality is excellent, I never feel bad or bloated after eating here. I always do the 4 sides option and my to-go items are the Kale Slaw and the Crunchy Kale Salad along with the chickpeas and bbq chicken. The combinations of flavors here is bomb. The quality/price ratio is excellent with dishes ranging between $13 to $16, depending on the number of sides (4 v. 6). There is indoors and outdoors seating. Parking could be tricky in this part of town, I highly recommend you park at 32nd st parking structure, just a block south of Fresh Kitchen. It's super easy to get in and out and there is plenty of parking. If you're in the area, just trust me and go here. They are 100% dedicated GF, most of the menu is also dairy free and sugar free, and their staff was wonderful! We stopped here on our way to the airport after a very long journey, and their staff went out of their way to walk me through each item on their menu to verify I would be safe with my allergies (gluten, wheat, dairy, red meat, refined sugars), offering to let me taste any item before I added it to my bowl, and making recommendations as to what items would be compliment the meal as a whole. I had noticed they even had cookies that were safe for me to eat (that never happens when I travel) and I was so excited to see I could have a dessert that the manager offered me the cookies on the house. He insisted and would not let me pay for the cookies because he said he really wanted my first time here to be a memorable experience. Now having eaten our meal, I can say with absolute confidence the food is delicious and definitely worth the journey. I gotta say every time I come to this place I am very pleased with my experience. The Fresh Kitchen has so many mix-and-match options and the opportunity to taste a couple of the items before you choose is such a win in my book. I like how they have different size bowls and everything appears to be so clean and well organized. I also think that management does a good job at adequately staffing because I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to compose my meal here. While in line this visit, the staff did a great job at letting me know which selections would be an add-on and what it was included in the bowl prices. I also felt coached and educated in what can feel like an overwhelming situation with so many options. Now while I think that the prices are a bit steep. I do believe that you are getting a nice value and the service and cleanliness of the seating area that is routinely cleaned, more than makes up for it. 5 stars from me! read more

On a busy night I ordered two bowls for the week! The herb roasted salmon was delicious, on the salty side but flaky and well seasoned. The kale caesar and sweet potato noodles are phenomenal bases. The amount of cheese and dressing provided is well balanced. I loved the creamy sesame sauce the best! Every ingredient tasted fine to me except the almond crusted chicken which lacked in taste IMO. You decided the amount of protein and base you want then pick from the choices. Since it was my first time trying them, I got a kids bowl which consisted of 1 base, 1 protein, 2 veggies and 1 sauce. They had many different options to choose from such as kale salad, cauliflower fried rice, mashed potatoes, teriyaki chicken, and even tofu for vegans. The staff was great with recommendations of drinks and were patient in letting us decide what to get. I'm a visual eater so although I saw what's on the menu up on the wall, I like that I can see what's available in front of me. The latest "paint by the numbers" spot in Wynwood, Fresh Kitchen was my dinner after a 90 minute workout Friday. Located in the old Hurricane Wings space, Fresh Kitchen seems a marked improvement. The employee who helped me was pleasant in providing samples of the various ingredients. My Friday bowl was a mix of their tangy citrus chicken and slightly spicy blackened chicken blended in with sweet potatoes, chickpeas (garbanzos), and coconut ginger rice. Even the rice tasted good. I discovered this spot in Midtown in mid 2024 and decided to try it after yet another disappointing meal from Chipotle. Idk what they did but they used to be amazing and now is barely edible. FK is everything chipotle isn't. It's clean, both the food and the physical space. The employees seem happy indicating this is a company that treats its people right (I wanna spend my money at places like this). The food is always SOO on point and the portions are awesome. It's a great value proposition for the customer, unless you go for the steak or salmon which gets pricey if you're doing double protein.
