Oh my God where do I start! We had the best date night. This place is so amazing. I went with low expectations given my knowledge and experience with mediterranean food in miami: small portions, bland taste. This is completely different and out of this world! The food is super tasty, super fresh, portions are adequate without paying a steep price. The salad: we got a greek salad, it was way bigger than what we expected, the tomatos and feta cheese were delicious and my fiance thought that this was the star dish. Its not your basic salad. The waitress prepared it right infront of us and cut fresh tomatos and veggies on a station. Saganaki: must order, this was my favorite dish. Even though its such a simple ingredient (cheese) the flavor is crazy, they torched it and heated it infront of us and we couldn't stop eating it Souvlaki: the chicken was delicious, we got two full skewers, they serve it with fries and their special sauce which is so delicious! Even the fries were delicious and well seasoned! Octopus: this was mind blowing, especially with the meraki sauce. This is technically an appetizer but feels like a whole dish!! And its only for $24 whereas other places tend to overcharge! We had planned to order more but by that time we were full. The menu is rich and there is still so much to try. We will be heading here more frequently and sharing with you our dishes!! 5 stars well deserved! Instagram: @ri_reviews961

Cute Greek spot.

I really wanted to love Meraki Greek Bistro. Unfortunately, the food fell short considering the price point. We were in the Miami area on a Monday late afternoon with my in-laws and decided to grab an early dinner. We opted for Meraki Greek Bistro because they were part of inKind. We had inKind credit we wanted to use. Meraki has been on my list for a while as we try to check out all of the Mediterranean spots in town. We love Mediterranean food. The space, vibe and decor is pretty on point and reminds us of Santorini, which is where we went for our honeymoon. It takes you to another place and they thought of all the details that compliment the space. Love the ambiance! We sat inside as it was a bit humid outdoors. I think fans outside would be nice and we would have chosen to sit out there otherwise. Alexia was our server and she was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. Always checked in on us. This is everything we ordered: * Blue Odyssey $16 * Freddo-Tini $17 * Minoan Mule $16 * Creta Seafood w/linguine $32 * Goat Cheese & Beet Salad $16 * Lamb Chops $38 * Mezes & Trio $22 * Roasted Lamb $28.00 * Seared Scallops w/linguine $32 Cocktails and Mezes & Trio was great. It was the main dishes that was a disappointment. I got the Seared Scallops with linguine pasta. Hubby got the Lamb Chops with feta cheese fries. As soon as my scallops came out, I could tell it was going to disappoint. You can just tell as it wasn't freshly grilled/seared and not juicy. I try to get scallops when dining out as they always have that perfect sear. This was not it. I dug my fork in and right away felt like these were frozen scallops that were just overcooked. I should have returned it but didn't want to be that person. Hubby's $38 lamb chops were just ok and dry. Maybe it was an off day or maybe not. I would give the restaurant vibe and service 5 stars across the board. But the food was disappointing, even with the inKind discount and so pricey for what we got. I gave the food 3 stars. Our dinner before the inKind discount and before tip was a whopping $234!!! $234.36 total - $106.95 inKind credit used = $127.41 + $43.40 tip = $170.81 total paid after discounts & tip. Honestly, the price point did not justify the quality. Without the discount, we would have paid $281 with tip. I really wish we loved everything more as the ambiance was EVERYTHING! Maybe this was an off day but the experience wasn't what we had hoped.

My friends & I had another great visit at Meraki. The construction for the new spot has completed since my last visit and I love the new design of the interior. We tried the pitcher of the Zeus-Eros cocktail that was a good price for about 4.5 drinks and the Family Meraki platter. The food was on point once more when it came to the meats with the exception of the pork compared with the chicken and lamb. It was a bit chewy and next time we will request maybe some extra chicken & lamb instead. The new happy menu looks fabulous too and something we are interested in trying sometime earlier in the evening next time. The service was phenomenal and our waitress rocked! It's always great to come for Mediterranean at this downtown location.

This is the second Meraki I try, I usually go to the one in the Grove. I like that it's a block away from the Knight Center Metromover station, that's very convenient. The staff was nice enough, our waiter did forget about us a couple of times though. Inside is nice, way more spacious than the Grove location. Although I don't like that they keep the door open, I shouldn't be getting bit by mosquitoes inside a restaurant. The food was pretty good, and it came out quick which was nice.

Was craving a Greek salad and Lamb Gyro and came across Meraki Greek bistro. It did not disappoint. The Greek salad was fresh and had good flavor and the lamb gyro hit the spot. It was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying, I will definitely be back again and would recommend.

The food here is very good. I've been here for happy hour and they have a great selection for food and drinks. I went for dinner and got the lamb kabob platter. It came with fries, pita and tzatziki. Very delicious! Great portion sizes as well. The service was good and I liked the decor feeling like I've stepped into Greece

Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember this particular strip mall right in the beginning of Alton road. Today, Meraki graces this space. It wasn't until the other day that a coworker and I were walking down the street from work that once we stumbled upon it we decided to give it a try. It was very quiet with one other couple sitting to enjoy lunch--they looked like locals enjoying a leisurely time. In my mind, this seemed like their "spot." The service was great with a kind and attentive waitress who took her time explaining the plates to us and the food was even better. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki platter and subbed my fries for lemon potatoes. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the lemon potato's were a flavor explosion in the mouth. Perfectly peeled, poached, and quartered bathed in a what seemed like a lemon olive oil. Simply delicious. I felt great after eating the meal as it was a clean, simple, unprocessed meal with whole foods that still had a lot of flavor. For those passing by the area, there's a parking lot at Meraki which is great since beach parking can be tricky. Meraki is a must try!

Came here for a birthday work lunch and loved the food. Unfortunately the grill wasn't working when we were there so a good chunk of the menu wasn't available. It was also soooo hot inside and can't imagine what it would be like with the grill on! The food is flavorful and reminds me of the food I ate in Greece. I would definitely come back and pray the AC is working or it's cooler.

Very small lamb chops.

I know a guy who knows a guy at the local butcher shop They got some pretty nice size lamb chops give me a call we can figure it out. Because those land shops are selling y'all could have spared that little animal. That was a pretty small goat. Lol. Actually call the waitress over and showed her pictures on Yelp of other people's land meals to show how the sizes were so different. She said if you look real close they look about the same size. Lm a o. If you say so Miss. It's a pretty nice place very interesting parking lot across the street where we parked. There's a parking lot attendant that is raising five chickens in six pigeons in the parking lot. You got to see it to believe it. Greek restaurants are like Chinese restaurants 95% of them have the same menu. I like the place I like the company of customers I was in it was an extremely rainy day so I'm sure they had something to do was not as much traffic. They look family-owned. I had the lamb chops with some potatoes. I also tried chicken meatballs and the calamari. The calamari was the best. My friend had some kind of chicken that was sat on a king size mattress bed of french fries. Pretty basic meal. The pictures I saw are very annoying about the actual meal not so much. I was looking for something that I couldn't get from a Greek food truck. I'm not sure that happened. I would definitely come back. But wasn't blown away as I thought I would be. DA UUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

Marie L.

The whole experience and atmosphere here is wonderful. We walked in at lunchtime and got the Lamb Special and tried the Miami Spice 3-course plus some coffees and the dip sampler. All we're fantastic and our server Meriem was lovely.

Good meal but not exceptional. I got the felling that it was not cooked to order and it tasted like it.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.
