My husband and I came here to get a bento to go. The bento was $15. I don't remember the bento being $15, I think they had raise their price. If you go few stores down, the bento there is cheaper. There's also lots fresh meats at this place. We only came for the bento to go to try. There is no tables to sit inside. Food was not bad, but I can get the similar food for cheaper few stores down. Not sure if I would come back, probably go to the store that is few doors down as it is cheaper there. read more

Extremely disappointed with the food quality at Fresh Meat Market in Pleasanton. We bought two tandoori chicken legs for $22. The skinny legs had no masala, no salt, and absolutely no flavor. After just one bite, the meat tasted stale that we were genuinely worried it could make us sick, so we had to throw it away. The curries were no better. Each dish had a completely different and inconsistent level of spice, but none had real flavor. It honestly felt like spicy chili water rather than a properly cooked curry. The paya soup was unbearably spicy. We enjoy spicy food regularly (Thai level Spicy) , but this was on another level, as if someone dumped chili powder straight into the pot. The baby goat curry was also insanely spicy and tasted only of curry leaves. On top of that, the so-called baby goat had almost no meat at all, just bones, which made it feel like a total rip-off. Every item was so bad that we threw everything away after a bite of each. This was by far the worst food experience we've ever had. Considering the price they charge, the food quality is extremely poor. It's not worth the health risk or the money. read more

We got the marinated chicken drumsticks and chicken leg quarters. They were very disappointing. The chicken leg quarters were tasteless, even lacked salt in the marinade. They were likely cheapest quality non-organic hormone filled drumsticks to begin with. The leg quarters were better meat but the marinade lack anything and everything. I think it was mostly food color mixed with store bought garlic paste. Please avoid. read more

I'm so glad that this meat store opened in Pleasanton. They have a variety of meat and Indian frozen fish options which have been hard to find in the area. The cleanliness, no pungent smell and friendly service makes it a good place to shop meat from. I tried goat, frozen sardines so far. They have a bunch of ready hot food available at the side counter. I tried goat paaya soup as it's considered good for health. It was well cooked and well extracted broth. The only hestitation I felt while buying soup was that they provide the hot dish in a plastic disposable container. I request/ suggest them to use paper bowls at least for the soup and hot curries as they're super hot. Everything else is great. The goat pickle was so yum when I tasted the sample. Definitely recommend trying that and the meat options. read more

This place opened for business as of May 11th. Got 2 lbs of goat shoulders at this place. This is a franchise setup and is located in multiple locations. They have a live butcher section for having meat cut in any form needed. Update: Owner did reach out and clarified that the chicken was country chicken prepared with skin ( which we do not like in curry ) . As per him , the food was prepared fresh that day and kept as per food safety norms and refunded our order as we were not satisfied. Adding another star as they seemed genuinely concerned Maybe we will try again sometime later and provide an updated review . Worst food I ever had . We ordered a Chicken curry through Grubhub . Chicken was very stale . Had weird smell and seemed it was prepared well before . It was not even hot when arrived . If fresh food like a curry is sold , it should be prepared fresh .
