I want to share the lovely experience I had during my recent visit. I came with my parents, and we received nothing but delightful service from our waitress, Deep. She was wonderful! She took the time to explain the menu and buffet, and even recommended a few dishes that we really enjoyed. Despite the restaurant being very busy and appearing to be short-staffed, Deep was constantly checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Her attentiveness and friendly service truly stood out. I truly believe this place has the potential to be very successful again. A group of us made reservation for lunch. When we showed up the place was quite empty. After being seated, we were advised that they were not serving a la carte lunch and our only option was the buffet @ $29.99 each! [Just for comparison, Yellow Chilly and Kabila are around $20 each.] As we had driven from different cities, we decided to stay and do the buffet. Food was ok, nothing memorable. Service was non-existent. For $30, one gets plastic plates and has to hunt for the servers to bring fresh naan's to the table. To add insult to injury, besides adding service charge (for buffet!), we also discovered a "wastage charge" , I think, of $4 each. This is not listed anywhere that we could see. Their rationale is that buffet has wastage! Seriously! First buffet restaurant to my knowledge with this new charge. Recommendation: There are better choices where the staff treats you much better. I'm directing this review specifically to the owner because the behavior we witnessed was extremely concerning from both a customer-service and basic food-safety standpoint. We were outside eating food from the live food cart when a man approached. We assumed he was another customer, only to later discover that he was the owner. He went behind the cart and handled/picked through the food with his bare hands. Seeing the owner directly handling ready-to-eat food this way was extremely disappointing and raises very basic hygiene and food-safety concerns. What was even more frustrating was that, rather than helping the one person working the food cart and making sure the operation was being handled properly, the owner brought some of his special guests over and engaged with them while speaking in a dull and disrespectful tone. As the owner, you set the standard for how customers should be treated and how food should be handled. The overall experience felt extremely mediocre, unsatisfactory, and unprofessional. Running a food business requires attention to basic health and safety practices, respect for customers, and leadership--especially when your staff is working outside at a live food station. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and reviews both the food-handling practices and the way customers are treated. These are basic expectations in the restaurant business. read more

Indian Hot Spot honestly surprised me in the best way. The inside is super nice and feels very upscale and modern. I really liked that they have desserts and other items you can buy inside, which adds to the whole experience. They also have a restaurant party area. I've seen they host parties and events, and I've been wanting to go to one but haven't been able to yet. Hopefully soon. The food was really good overall. I especially liked their naan, it was soft and flavorful. The pani puri was a little lowkey stale, but not too bad. I've been to this restaurant many times and it used to be my favorite Desi buffet place (see my previous review). Based on the prior experiences, we decided to come here for Mother's Day and it was absolutely horrific. When we entered, there was a sea of humanity with people all crowded at the front check in area trying to get on the waitlist. The female hostess told us to join on the iPad and told us the anticipated wait for a party of 3 would be 35-40 minutes. We followed her instructions and went back to the car to wait. About 45 minutes later, we were notified from their system that our place was 1st in line. By the time we went inside, it said the table was ready. Once we got inside, the crowd had tripled. Everyone was trying to figure out the process and or get seated. The male manager and female hostess did absolutely nothing to try and alleviate the crowd by suggesting people could go outside or by actually helping them with their questions. The male manager yelled at the hostess and then began yelling at the customers, myself and my elderly parents included. People were sandwiched like sardines. We explained to the male manager that we were notified that the table was ready and he kept saying wait, wait!!!!, while proceeding to seat parties of 12, 8 and 5 people. Then, he pulled out a paper list and asked us where our phone number was. We explained that we followed the instructions from the hostess. He told us we were lying and had not been on the waitlist. He was rude, demeaning and disrespectful to my parents, let alone me. While running around and screaming, both the male manager and female hostess ran into customers, including my parents. My dad nearly lost his balance from getting shoved by the male manager and my mom was knocked on her nose by someone's elbow. It was a complete safety disaster as elderly people were getting pushed and shoved by the staff/management and the crowd. After waiting an additional 25 minutes (AFTER we had been notified that the table was ready) and trying to explain ourselves to no avail, we left. It still makes no sense to me how we followed their system and never got seated when our turn came. We also realized that the people who managed to get seated ended up standing in a large line just to get their food. In reading the other reviews from the same day, it's clear that most if not everyone had an unpleasant experience. It's also unfortunate that this was on Mother's Day. I reached out to the owner directly before writing this review. I explained my concerns. He asked what I wanted. Given that we've gone there so many times in the past, I asked for an apology from the two staff members to my parents as well as complimentary buffets for the three of us. He said instead of the staff apologizing, he apologizes. Then he asked me whether I contacted him for an apology or for a free buffet. The dismissive demeanor he exhibited was the icing on the cake. He made it seem like extending a complimentary buffet was unreasonable and at that point I told him forget it. His questioning made me feel cheap, like the sole purpose was to get free food. The point of extending a free buffet would have been to rectify a horrible situation they created themselves. It was because they failed to seat us and provide us a meal after we followed THEIR system. Needless to say, we won't be going back and I won't be recommending this place to anyone again. It's truly unfortunate to see so many similar bad reviews for this restaurant because they failed to treat their customers with respect, care and concern. read more

A delicious Indian buffet place with a lot of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. There are around 15 dishes including fish, chicken and goat. The Amritsari fish and goat curry was excellent. The chicken was a bit dry and so is the noodle (said Hakka noodles but it's very dry). Overall you will have plenty choices to explore. At 1:31 pm the host came and told us we had to leave because they had people waiting outside. Piece of shit customer service. Do better because that was horrible. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had made a reservation for Mother's Day four days in advance. However, when we arrived, the hostess (Lady in front) claimed they were not taking reservations even though my name and phone number were clearly listed on her note book. She was very rude and told us we would have to wait 30-40 minutes. I understand it was a busy day, but her attitude was unacceptable. Eventually, we were seated, and surprisingly, they collected payment before we even started eating. Most of the food trays were empty. My daughter got chili chicken that wasn't fully cooked, and it was very difficult to get a second serving of anything. By the time it was our turn in line, many of the dishes were either still empty or took a long time to be refilled. They also advertised a buffet with 40+ items, but I honestly didn't see even close to that number available. The food variety was lacking, and so was the service. We didn't even get water. The jugs on the table were empty, and when I asked a staff member to refill them, he said "hold on" and never came back. They didn't even provide basic service like water. As we sat there on the table, I noticed a waiter placing glasses of water to customers on the next table. I told him to bring us water as well. He refused saying it's only for 'a La carte' orders and not for buffet orders. The I told him that by brother ordered a La carte as well. He goes back and brings a single glass of water only for my brother and not for me! This is ridiculous service. I find out later that buffet customers can only take water in small cheap paper cups, even though they are the higher paying customers. This restaurant has such a ridiculous policy. The food in the buffet was no great shakes as well, the vegetarian part. It tasted bland and without sufficiently. Some food felt burnt as well. I won't be going to this place again. read more

Indian buffet for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays! The restaurant is beautiful with stylish decor inside. Large restaurant with a large outdoor patio as well. Service was attentive with waiters checking on us throughout our meal. They cleared our empty plates quickly and offered us both butter and garlic naan.
