I was shocked to spend $11 on just a 20oz bottle of Pepsi and a bag of potato chips -- $7 for chips and $4 for a soda is completely unreasonable, even for "organic" products. I shop at places like Whole Foods regularly, and even they don't charge those kinds of prices. When I asked the cashier to clarify, the response felt dismissive, as if I should just accept the markup without question. To make matters worse, as I browsed the store, I noticed several items that were past their expiration dates. If you're going to charge premium prices, the very least I expect is for the food to be fresh and safe to eat. That's just basic quality control. Unfortunately, between the inflated prices and expired goods, I can't recommend this store. I love supporting neighborhood spots, but this one left a bad impression -- both in service and value.

Each year around Thanksgiving and Christmas they will offer a grilled turkey dinner ( some promote it with a few dishes or you can order the Turkey by itself ) . This store has a live seafood section. It has big tanks of crabs , lobster , shrimp , fishes . Prices vary from time to time . Couple Weeks ago on the Father 's day weekends. Crabs were $ 6.99 one pound . Now is only $8.99 per pound . New items are lunch boxes from the deli section . I love their hot Chinese food delis . You can full up one big square container for $14.99 . Now they make lunch boxes ( $9 ) first thing in the morning as soon as their food are ready . Good lunch boxes like chat Siu ( BBQ pork ) , roasted duck , steamed baby pork ribs with chicken feet ( a favorite dim sum combination) , etc . The boxes come with rice and vegetables with good prices ($8.99 to $10.30 ) . Happy 4 th of July !

I remembered it always looking old from outside. Parking lot is still tight in spaces and chaotic around here. Bakery is always the best spot inside. Food court area isn't huge, but with more investments there, it can turn out great too. I like how they put out all the stuff for sale & deals in designated areas now. Things are easier to spot, in case you want to find bargains. The Chinese New Year stuff are out and it doesn't feel expensive now. Red bag of rice crackers gift set large bag was only $8.88 today. Red envelopes are cheaper than the South Bay Area and other 99 Ranch locations. Checkout lines were clean looking too. It feels like they really did listen to customers needs. 5lbs bag of broken rice under $5 is perfect for porridge. Vermicelli $2.29 and Rice noodle pack $2.99. Not bad at all. No lines or crowds before lunchtime on weekdays. Grocery items are considered costly and overpriced at most 99 Ranch stores. I'm glad to see more sales signs/labels here. Good set up. Peaceful walk. Staffs appear happy in what they do here. The Chinese New Year items are worth browsing through during quiet January month.

While it is smaller than the…read moreone we've been to in SJ, this location still has plenty to offer, including a whole food court with a variety of restaurants to boot. There is even a section with pre-marinaded raw meat that you can cook at home for KBBQ! This H Mart is located in the same parking lot as Half Price Books and Marshalls, which are two of my favorite stores, so it's perfect every time I'm in the area to stop by all three places. As such, there is generally plenty of parking, but it can get congested if you insist on parking close to H Mart. I prefer to park farther where there is shade and walk over. Another highlight for my H Mart runs is that there is a Tous Les Jours inside the store, so I can also get my pastry and coffee fix. They are currently doing a pistachio series for summer, and that pistachio cloud latte was delicious. You cannot stop by H Mart and not pick up some of their pre-made meals. They make everything from street food staples such as tteokbokki and fried seaweed rolls to gimbap, dosirak, and fried rice bowls. Trust me, it's all so delicious and such an easy dinner to heat up. Since this H Mart is decently new, the influx of visitors is quite high, and my only gripe from my last visit there was that the women's restrooms ran out of toilet paper. It's the small details that can make or break an establishment, and hopefully the staff will become more vigilant to basic necessities and work out the kinks as time goes on. Either way, I'm just happy there is a new H Mart location in the Tri-Valley and will definitely be back (while we wait for the Sacramento location to open at some point).

The customer service is very helpful and if you cannot bring up your H Mart rewards card in time, then just take your receipt to the custy service and they will update it. (It's not connected to your phone number so you cannot just enter your number at the checkout :( and my app kept sending the security number to my spam). The store is huge and aisles are not wide so on really crowded days it can feel claustrophobic. All I can say is do not take the shopping cart outside the food cart area and push it down the ramp. CART WILL LOCK at the end of the ramp. Myself, kids, and $100 of groceries have warned you.

We used to come here frequently before the pandemic, but for some reason stopped coming on the years since. I yearned to come back since our 4yo loves Persian-style rice and the kabobs at Santorini nearby are inconsistent - sometimes juicy and sometimes dry. With Yelp's Grubhub app, you can order for pickup and customize. Its amazing you can choose thigh or breast for chicken. Definitely get the thigh for a juicier chicken! They even let you customize the rice preparation: * The basic saffron rice is the classic white basmati rice with some saffron to give it some yellow color. This is my son's favorite and he can probably devour an entire plate. * Jewel-style adds candied shredded carrots, orange zest and pistachios for added crunch and sweetness. *Zareshk-style used barberries to add some tartness to balance out the sweet, and is another one of our favorites. Definitely will use their Grubhub ordering system going forward. Besides the awesome kabob plate, they also offer several Persian stews and desserts.
