The place is good, very hometown-type feel. When we first walked in, we stood in the very small doorway for a good 3-4 minutes, next to the sign that says "please wait to be seated". Finally, we were acknowledged and seated in their 3rd room-space. It was Sunday, around 12:30pm; busy for their respect and we were a party of 5. Not ideal for a 4-sided table, but luckily there's a corner booth in this room. Food was good, to be expected for a diner. Kids had fun, nothing was left on anybody's plate. When paying, the people behind the counter were very nice. Can't imagine we'll be back anytime soon, but it's not bad for an impromptu Sunday lunch/brunch.

Benedict was amazing! I prefer the sauce to be more buttery than tangy and it was amazing. Eggs were does just right. Service was great! They were a little short handed but the staff was super kind and timely. This place has become a favorite of our. We love it. The pancakes and the best I've ever had to!

I've been a regular at this restaurant for years now. I've since moved an hour away but stop by when I'm in town. Not much has changed. They still serve top notch food with excellent service. The owner even remembered me after all these years. If it's not broken don't fix it. I brought 2 friends with me for their first visit recently. It was a Sunday and it was packed with the after church crowd, but we were seated promptly. We ordered the patty melt, blue chicken sandwich and bacon, egg & cheese croissant. Everything arrived fresh, hot and timely despite it being so busy. If you're in the Aurora area, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. I've never had a problem in 10 years of going there! I can't wrap my head around WHY so many people bad mouth this place. It's a family-owned deli. It's not snooty or pretentious. It's good, honest homestyle food. They serve breakfast all day. And I believe they still have the best ayce fish fry Friday during lent in northeast Ohio! With that said, if you want a gourmet 5 star experience, keep on trucking a little further down Rt. 43 and don't choke on your silver spoon. You're welcome.

Burnt tasting potatoes under cooked onions. How???

So originally I have them a 3 just for the fact I ordered bread didn't get jelly. I didn't get salt or pepper for my eggs and has and I only have three potatoes. Now that I'm eating my onions are not cooked the potatoes are burnt and I'm just overall unsatisfied with my meal.

This place was so awesome we ate here two times in a row ...the French toast with the banana's and candied nuts was AMAZING and I had the omelette chorizo and the crab eggs Benedict and I'm very picky about the Hollandaise sauce and this was so yummy ... both were good but chorizo was my favorite . Tried both the pancake and French toast with the bananas and nuts and can't pick a favorite because they were both so good!!! The locations has a gorgeous view of the ocean

Every time I pass by this restaurant, the parking lot is insanely busy. I figured I would finally give it a try and many years. Even though it was busy, my friend and I were seated right away. When you first walk in there is a seating area, then to the left is another room with tables and booths. The menu has a good variety of breakfast items. I believe it is comparable to Bob Evans. The pricing is a bit cheaper than BE, which is a plus! The servers who refilled coffee were great. They were always checking up on everyone. I ordered one of the skillets which came with potatoes and toast. It did take a while for he food to come out, but it was so delicious. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly. I would try more if there food again. Although, because it was busy the service was slow. I wasn't able to ask for another ketchup and a refill on my water. This is a place that would benefit from ketchup bottles on the table and pitchers of water already on the table since they get so busy. The workers were all friendly and this place is in a good location. I would recommend this to others and come back again.

We also had a couple bottles of wine at the table, which were good as well. For appetizers, we shared oysters, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail. All of them were good, but the meatballs were my favorite. For my entrée, I ordered the prime rib. It was a bit saltier than I would have liked, but the sides helped balance it out. I really enjoyed the corn and mashed potatoes, and I also added mushrooms and onions, which helped offset the saltiness. In hindsight, I kind of wish I had ordered the filet mignon, as I suspect it wouldn't have been as salty. The bread at the beginning of the meal was also really good. Dessert was a standout--I got the turtle cake, and it was huge. It's definitely the best value on the menu. Three of us shared it and still couldn't finish it, though that may have also been due to the amount of food and drinks we had throughout the night. The food did take a while to come out, but the service remained good the entire time. We expected dinner to wrap up around 7:00, but we started at 5:30 and didn't finish until about 8:30--there were 16 of us, so it was understandable. Overall, a solid experience, especially for a group event.

This wasn't fun at all, the service was decent, but our waiter had an attitude. The vibe it was loud and smelt that's all i'm saying. Overall It was maybe 1.5/10.

Thankfully a table of 6 arrived shortly after we settled in. It was a weeknight and the weather was miserable so I'm sure that contributed to the lonely dining room. The menu is interesting and has something for everyone. I wish I knew how good the food was before we ordered because I would have been more adventurous and ordered the lamb chops. Instead I played it safe by ordering the strip steak. Excellent! My only complaint is that it only comes with one side. I chose asparagus and my husband ordered Brussels Sprouts. Both were fresh and cooked perfectly. Definitely get the Soup Trio with the Grilled Cheese! I wish every restaurant offered this. The tomato bisque was excellent and the chicken noodle was good too. But skip the pasta fagioli if it's the soup du jour. The steak tacos are another excellent choice. The meat used is the trimmings from the strip steak so it's tender and full of flavor. It also includes corn and a horseradish sauce. It's not traditional but it's great! They have brunch on the weekends with a Bloody Mary bar and lots of weekly specials like 2 for 1 dinners, burger night and $7 flatbreads. On Wednesdays they have karaoke in the adjacent Tavern so keep that in mind if you want a quieter experience. They have the same menu in the Tavern so you can join in the singing and still eat well.

Our waitress was sitting two tables down from us, eating. Our food took forever to come out. I ordered the Aurora breakfast, which is eggs, potatoes, bacon and a pancake. My husband had waffles - neither are meals that take a long time to cook. It was also not busy. We were one of two tables. Sure enough, when our food finally came out, it was cold. Maybe if our waitress hadn't been so concerned with her own meal ours would have been more enjoyable.

Either way they did let me switch to a coffee. It was very typical burnt dinner coffee. The food took a little while to come out, but when it did...yum!! I had the eggs benedict with hash browns. It was all seasoned perfectly. I normally prefer my potatoes a bit crispier, but they were delicious. My husband had a western egg sandwich on a croissant, which he enjoyed very much. We shared a half order of biscuits and gravy. I would get my own next time... too good to share. We also had a slice of French toast and a pancake with the "turtle" topping. The French toast was NOT cinnamon, which is what I am used to, so the first bite I was a little thrown, but I would definitely get it again. The pancake with the turtle topping, it wasn't all topping, they had mixed the pecans and chocolate chips right into the batter and then drizzled it with caramel and topped with whipped cream. All delicious! The actual building may be hard to find if you don't have good gps. There is currently no signage with the name of the restaurant. The window does say Diner so at least you know it's food, haha. Go. Have breakfast. Or lunch, that also looked delicious.
