Kyle was unable to make a home visit for the quote in time for my move, so at his suggestion I walked him around our home via FaceTime, which worked great. From the very beginning Kyle was professional, courteous, down-to-earth, and clearly knew what he was doing, asking all the right questions. Communication throughout the process was consistent and spot-on. They were even able to adjust the schedule last minute to beat the rain. On moving day, a crew of seven team members showed up on time, ready to work with both a large beautiful new truck and a medium-sized truck. The lead, Tyler, walked me through the process, which matched what Kyle had explained to me, everything was transparent, professional, and made good use of technology. The care, speed, and efficiency with which the team worked was outstanding to say the least. I was hesitant to hire movers after hearing horror stories from friends and family who had used other services, but Fresh Start Movers couldn't have performed better. Although the overall cost came in higher than quoted, this was 100% due to me adding more work to their plate on the fly. They were more than happy and able to take on the extra work including taking apart furniture and moving many more items than I originally pointed out to Kyle. On top of all that, the moving team not only worked tirelessly and at a fast pace for 8 hours, but they did it with smiles and politeness. We couldn't be happier with the team! Kyle and Emily (and all) were great to work with from start to finish! We felt totally cared for the entire time, and it is wonderful to support a local business that takes pride in their work. They really strive to make every move a 5-star experience for all... and it shows! There is nothing more stressful than moving, and Kyle and his team made the process SO much easier for us. We'd never paid a moving company, but we decided during our last move that we were "getting too old for this!" This is the second time I hired Fresh Start Movers and I am just as pleased with the experience this time as I was the first time they moved me! The need to move was sudden and unexpected, and the move itself was complicated. We needed to blend two apartments into one already furnished house and two separate storage units. What moves where, what goes to storage and what stays, and to which storage unit? Adding to the difficulty, a couple of weeks ago we had no idea we'd be moving, and everyone works, we were not as prepared as we'd hope to be. We were not completely packed, not entirely organized, not even close to 100% ready. It didn't matter. They showed up on time, listened to what we needed, and expertly completed the job in less time than we'd budgeted for saving us some money. In addition to the moving skills, every member of the crew were professional in every way. They worked incredibly hard and fast, but were also careful with our belongings and nice to be around. I don't have one complaint or criticism, they were wonderful! Kyle is the person who will estimate the cost of your move and set the appointment. He's also a pro in every way. I highly recommend Fresh Start Movers. My whole experience with Kyle and his team was superlative, from start to finish. I researched several firms on-line and from the moment I made contact with Kyle I knew I had made the right choice. We decided to move to a new town and found a dream home right away,, leaving us only 3 weeks to move. We got 3 quotes from local, highly-rated movers. Fresh Start's Kyle, one of the 2 co-owners, made the best impression by far: very thorough, patient and personable. He spent the time to identify each box, using modern software to produce a good estimate of the time and personnel required, as well as other expenses such as mileage. Our move was complicated as we were downsizing, so some items needed to be moved to our garage rather than being loaded onto the truck. Also, we were moving to a fully furnished home where we needed to have some of their furniture wrapped for storage. A further complication is that the new home's driveway turned out to be too steep with a sharp turn for even the smaller truck to navigate. The other owner James led the crew and solved the lack of access by having the guys hand carry or dolly everything up the hill to the house. They never complained, instead turning it into a competition to see who could carry the most! My husband and I were blown away by their strength and great attitude. I have now used Fresh Start Movers for at least 4 moves, if not more!! These guys are great. Very friendly, courteous and punctual. Kyle and his crew are great guys, concerned about the individual and their possessions. They call to let you know of their break or anything else that happens. I've had them move me out of a few places, into 2 storage units and to my current apartment. I couldn't ask for better or more quality movers!!! Seriously and I've moved a lot in my 60 years. I told them what I wanted to pay and Kyle stuck to the amount of time it would be as close as possible. They went the extra mile when I had broken my back in March of 2019, by doing above and beyond what they would usually do-even fixed my bed up for me so I could go to bed!!! They moved me into my temporary apartment and then into my permanent one. First time using this company's moving services and I was very impressed! The service is very personalized, from the moment Kyle (owner) came to my home to see what needed to be moved and gave me a reasonable quote, to the time the moving crew of Casey, Carlos, and Kia arrived to my home with the correct size truck. Each member of the moving crew were very friendly and treated my belonging carefully. All furniture pieces were wrapped to prevent damage. Boxes weren't stacked more than they should have been. There wasn't any dillydallying or time wasted. The same thing thing happened when arriving to the new destination. Everything was unloaded from the truck and brought into the new place, furniture was setup by them the way I wanted it, and all boxes were brought in without dropping, banging or denting them. Fresh Start Movers were everything they advertised themselves to be. Setting up the day of moving was quick and easy and I was my quote was sent quickly to me by email. Any questions I had were quickly answered. The 4 man team who showed up were all very courteous and respectful of both houses that we were moving to/from. I could not believe how quickly these men worked! It was hard for me to keep up with clearing my dresser drawers! Not only do they disassemble beds and furniture as needed but they do a careful and thorough job assembling it all again in the new location. Talk about peace of mind. They made sure that we were happy with the placement of all items in the new home and took time to do a walk through before leaving. My husband and I just moved from Santa Rosa to Rincon Valley. Kyle came by a couple of weeks before the move to to a very thorough walk through of our place to give us an estimate for the move. Kyle's estimate was spot on. The move took exactly as long with the number of movers he quoted. The staff were professional, courteous, friendly, and a lot of fun to work with. I know we helped them a lot by having boxes well labeled. They took great care protecting our furniture. Our experience with Fresh Start began with Emily, answering the phone and being a fabulous introduction to the team. We set up a date that was just a few days off and the guys showed up ready to go. Only we have a big beautiful oak tree that prevented them from making it all the way to the house in their big truck. So they stopped and walked down to discuss how we should best proceed. I am so grateful. We love that old tree. So we set up a relay system with them loading our pickup and transferring it to their truck. I am very impressed with this company. From quote to finish, they were on top of things. Confirmed everything beforehand and allowed me to add on a haul away service that I didn't know they offered at first. They were on time, fast and careful with my furniture.
