I have never heard of Fresh Thyme until this location opened and now it seems they are everywhere! It's a great alternative if you're not near a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. The price range is probably in the middle between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. I find that the store is extremely organized and the produce looks great, however, you typically have to use it asap. For the most part, they do not carry brand name items so when I went to go look for Sprite/Coke as a mixer for drinks, I had to settle for their store brand which did not taste like lemon lime or cola soda at all. Their rewards program is not that great either, you have to buy select items to earn rewards and they're typically not super frequent items that I would normally buy.

Whenever I'm looking for the freshest produce, this is where I go. Its always much fresher than the other grocery stores I frequent. The cashiers are also really nice and easy to make conversation with as I check out.

Current deal: BOGO free. White cheddar puffs are yummy, haven't tried the peanut butter yet. They also have grape and strawberry.

I like Fresh Thyme, they have good deals on fresh produce. But sometimes some of their young cashiers lack common sense and customer service skills. There were 2 lines right next to each other, the one closest to me had a customer who just finished ringing up so I got in line. The customer turns around and decides to make another purchase and when the cashier tried to ring it up something went wrong. The cashier in the next line decides to stand there calling for the manager instead of asking me to move over so she can ring me up. The first cashier had to ask the other, "Can you ring her up so she doesn't have to wait?" If not for the first cashier having good customer service skills I probably would have been left there to wait. (I was about to give them 4 stars here until I realized...) My total came up to an even number which I thought was strange so when I looked at the receipt later I realized she decided to take it upon herself to round up my bill for their fund raising cause. If she had asked I would have said sure but I REALLY dont appreciate someone charging something without my consent.

I went to a trailer to learn about prevention of home fires and how to signal for help from an upper floor. I have a video of me breaking a board with the foot! Moreover, an organization was offering free hot pancakes with 2% real maple syrup, butter, and mini bottled water. What a tasty treat as I have not had pancakes in a long time! This trip at the market and after learning about their process, I bought a $2 yellow squash from a vendor who uses essential oils to distract inserts/bugs and their own animals' waste as fertilizer. I will taste to determine if similar to other growers. Also, I bought again the $14 (6) frozen chicken eggrolls. I air fried one upon arriving at home. Yummy! Another new and happening morning! Very educational.

I anticipated being the only person walking around the market while all the vendors stared at me, but no. Lots of shoppers, lots of produce and bread and tea and honey and sweets and meats and goods, and lots of samples. What I love about farmers markets in general (and this one specifically) is that each person selling their goods is super excited to tell you all about them, how they made them or grew them, what to eat them with or how to use them. On this visit, I bought some tea from the Tarkington Tea booth, a boule of French bread from The Bearded Baker, honey sticks from Dragonwood Honey & Maple and a dried cow hoof for my doggie from Becker Farms. I was eyeing the pea shoots at another stall, but I'll have to come back and buy those another time -- the guy was busy and had a line of customers. This indoor farmers market is located at Roy G. Holland Park, in the community center just off the parking lot. It's nice and warm inside, so don't let the cold temps of winter deter you from visiting the farmers market!

Everyone is friendly and helpful, most take credit cards, some with limits but because they are small businesses I try to use cash. There isn't a hot breakfast option so don't plan on eating here like you can during the summer. Arrive as early as you can on your chosen day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the years I've gone to the Markt, the service is always friendly and the food stalls are usually pretty quick about it, or as best they can be with the given volume of foot traffic. There's tons of food, ranging from classic bratwursts to the more Americanized options like pizza and waffles and then to the more adventurous sauerkraut and mushrooms! There's plenty of vegetarian options too - I really like the hot noodles with cheese (casespaetzle) and the spiral-cut potato on a stick! Let me try to list out all the things I've tried at the Markt this past year, and just rate by a simple pick (yes, you should try it) or pitch (not really worth it if you want guaranteed flavor) - Doner kebab: PICK - Walking waffle: pitch - Belgian hot chocolate: pick (it's expensive though, $11 in 2025) - Peppermint hot chocolate: pick - Sautéed mushrooms and sauerkraut: pitch - Kielbasa: pick - Hot noodles with cheese: pick - Spiral potato on a stick: pick - Chimney cake: pitch It's all great food but can be slightly expensive. There are definitely plenty of things that are under $10 if you look, and usually the vegetarian options are around that price. The stalls/huts are all very scenic with a cabin-like design, so the market is very charming. Each hut also has a German trivia sign on it. My favorite huts are the loose leaf teas and the German candies/treats. There's also a ton of handmade stuff like beer steins that would make excellent Christmas gifts. Christkindlmarkt is hugely popular for many reasons: food, atmosphere, ice skating, and maybe even the collectible boot mugs! The drawback to me for this market is the pricing, for example near me at home I can buy corn for $3 a dozen when I went to the market it was $9. Having said that though I still love to go here and pick up the items I might not find near me. It was overcast and not raining on Saturday so I ventured out. I made my way around to all of the booths/tents and found all of the vendors to be very nice and helpful. I started my day with some lavender vanilla chai tea with a little almond milk from Aahaa Chai and I will say that was an excellent way to start the day! To go along with that there are a lot of vendors that do pastries or breakfast items and I found a baklava that I had a long with my chai. I went to the market to get some green tomatoes to fry as our garden has been under water for a couple of weeks and is not doing well. I was able to find those and more. I also found a unique cabbage that was shaped like a cone and the vendor told me that it was more sweet than a regular cabbage so I brought one of those home to try. I would have loved to taken home some fresh cut flowers but I knew I was going to be out all day and could not leave them in the truck. Walking out I found a vendor that did gluten-free and dairy-free macarons. Petit Regal did them right! They were exactly as a macaron should be, crispy on the outside and dense on the inside with a sweet filling. It was a good day and I would recommend at least getting to this market one time so you know what they have to offer. They are on Facebook and it shows their hours.
