Decided to go with the salmon panini with the a side of chips and a mango lemonade for lunch today, definitely recommend it for anyone who loves salmon & if you're like me, that loves fresh corn. I must say there was an excessive amount of mayo, a little too much for my liking and it made the bread soggy and begin to fall apart. There's a server who greets everyone at the front and hands them a menu and there helpful with recommendations. Must check out the fresh drink selection they have towards the back! They have a variety of lemonades and flavored waters. As far as parking, I work across the street so parking is free but it looks like you'll have to pay for parking along the street or in a deck to dine here. read more

That being said, it's an OK restaurant for a salad, but the rest of the food I've had, including the soups and sandwiches, were way, way over salted. Also, both times I've eaten here with other people, our food was brought out sometimes 10 minutes a part from each other's. I'd prefer all of our entrees to just come out at once so some of us aren't sitting there starring at the other person's plate of food. read more

I haven't eat here in awhile and man, eating here again has definitely made realize what I've been miss out on. My salad was super flavorful and really delicious. My boyfriend also really enjoyed his salad and told me that this was an awesome place to eat. The portions are very huge and can easily be split into two, which is get for lunch the next day, just put your dressing on the side. I'm glad we came here for dinner tonight. Fresh to order is one of my favorite restaurants. The establishment is always clean and it is an awesome atmosphere to have lunch or dinner. However, this location(downtown Decatur) for whatever reason has only one friendly employee and although the food is good (I always get the club salad with salmon). They are a bit skimpy on the toppings that go on the salad (even when I request extra). If you don't request extra toppings, your basically eating a bed of lettuce. The best f2o location is the one downtown Atl on Peachtree St. The staff there are all friendly and they aren't skimpy on the toppings for your salad. I definitely recommend those that would like to eat at restaurant to go to the one downtown. read more

My mother and I ordered 2 paninis: the tomato mozzarella and the steak one. The tomato mozzarella panini was a bit soggy and had very little mozzarella. One half had only one little piece about 1"X1" in size. Feels like a rip off for almost $9. The steak panini was tasty however the ingredients were not well distributed (most of the steak, etc. was on one side). Again another ripoff, especially if you were splitting that sandwich with someone! To top it off the 3 female staff we encountered were not friendly, or polite by any means. They seemed annoyed to be at work and interacting with customers. One girl even rolled her eyes at us when we were trying to fill up our water glasses but her water pitcher was in the way and she had to move it. Very immature behavior. We will not be coming back. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly staff at this newer Decatur chain. I like that they are seeming to want to earn my business, because initially I wasn't interested in checking out this chain in downtown Decatur. So many other great restaurants make downtown Decatur a very competitive location! But they're only a half block from my office, so I wanted to give them a chance. As a healthcare professional, I am looking for super healthy choices when I dine out. What's to make me forego the grass fed beef at farm burger? The brown rice and Asian fusion at noodle? They seem to be marketing to the health-conscious crowd, so they better bring it! I was pleasantly surprised to see bison burger patty on the menu, as well as black bean burger. Deep-sea tuna and sustainably raised shrimp round out the menu. They had a ton of salads, and don't seem to mind substitutions. I got a spinach salad with crispy almond slivers, "real" bleu cheese crumbles, apple slices and dried cherries; all were generously portioned. This place wisely has something for everybody though. A wide selection of Panini's, entrées and desserts grace the menu. They also had numerous homemade looking flavored iced teas, and cucumber water that was free, and a nice touch. Bonus in my mind was how the place transitioned from lunch to evening mood with their wine , the only one in downtown Decatur that I'm aware of. I'm looking forward to a deeper exploration of the menu in future visits. Bottom line is you can eat healthy here or you can be decadent, and you can bring your friends who can go either way as well. As others have stated this location lacks alot of things: great customer service, correct orders, and cleanliness. Although i live up the street from this one i would much rather drive to the Emory point location to guarantee a decent meal. The hype surrounding this location is just that 'hype,' and its partly due to the downtown Decatur location. I can't honestly find anything positive about my experiences here. What i can guarantee is that 1) i will wait in line 15 mins to place my order as they will only have one cashier open on busy days 2) my food will be cold or wrong almost everytime i eat here 3) i will then have to send it back and wait another 30 mins for it to be ready 4) a manager will NOT acknolowdge the error or try to discuss my concerns 5) the bathroom will smell and never be clean 6) the restaurant itself including the booths and counters will not be clean 7) the food will be mediocre at best compared to all other F2o locations. As a fan of this chain I would much rather drive to the other F2os just to ensure i get a decent meal which is ridiculous!!! I probably eat F2o atleast twice a week and for the amount of money you pay this location is not worth your time or energy. They need some serious training on customer service and cleaniless before I would ever consider giving this location my business again. read more

First of all I have never had a bad experience at the Fresh to Order or any of the other ones until today. My Wife and I went about 3pm which means the lunch rush was over an hour or so ago and it was maybe two tables occupied. Well we walked into a restaurant full of dirty tables. We didn't realize it because we ordered and sat outside but came in because the tables were dirty and there was a bad odor outside. I went to use the bathroom and the odor in both the men's and women's (per my wife) bathrooms were so terrible I gagged as soon as I walked in. With that being said we still decided to stay because the food is good and a healthier choice plus we had already paid. As we were sitting down waiting for our meal we both heard a loud sneeze and at the time I was looking right at the kitchen and I saw that one of the cooks had did it. He was standing over the grill and he didn't even try to cover his mouth and I never saw him wash his hands ( wtf) !!!!! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was a baaaaad choice. We did not see the health score of 81 until after we sat down--and yeah, I get it now. I got the veggie panini with mac and cheese and my honey got some kind of turkey panini with mashed potatoes. The sides were pretty good, but the paninis were awful! Awful! Like, so dry. The turkey was NOT in good shape, looked suspicious asf! Neither panini had any flavor, we did not trust any of it. We started looking around and noticed the floors/tables were in rough shape... if they can't keep the environment clean, I can only imagine the condition of the kitchen. You wait in line to place your order for food and wine and you get to pour the wine all by yourself? my kinda place. They also guide you in pairing the salad toppings or wine with your entree. Once your meal is paid for you are given a number so they can locate you when seated. The food is brought out to you piping hot. My waiter was friendly and so was the host, yes there is a host who greets you at the door. The food is usually prepared really quickly and correct. The food is always yummy as well. I think that the price point is good for the amount of food that you receive.The parking is street so that can be problematic, but I usually just park in the deck and walk. I think F2O puts addictive substances in their food, as you may have suspected from my frequent check-ins. I visit the one in Midtown all the time for lunch, and stopped by here after my haircut (Salon Red 4-eva), I grabbed a Caesar salad and a sandwich to go, and after a short wait I was on my way. When I got home, I was super stoked to dig into my salad, but then I got sad when I saw they'd forgotten to put croutons on it. Caesars only have like 4 ingredients to begin with so forgetting 25% of my salad was a bummer. HOWEVER, I'd added the grilled shrimp to the salad and those were a total lifesaver because they are beyond delicious. Perfectly grilled with a ton of flavorful seasoning--I'd gladly pay dinner prices to eat a plate of those. The sandwich was the pork something or other, and my husband was pretty into it. It looked kinda small, but then he helped me with my salad so no one ended the meal still hungry. Don't get me wrong--I LOVE Fresh To Order. The rice was also a hit with our daughter. The salmon had a glaze, slightly sweet and cooked perfectly. We will definitely come back! One draw back, no changing stations for babies and toddlers in the restrooms. We looked in both the men's and yes, women's restrooms. If added, it would be more family friendly. I absolutely love FO2! A friend introduced me to this restaurant a few weeks back and I've been back 3 times since! I love the turkey panini, and the chicken southwest panini. They are the best. In addition to the panini they have a amazing creamy chicken vegetable soup, chicken tortilla soup, brownies and red velvet cupcake. The location in Decatur is really good! They scenery is nice and it is a perfect for a date spot. Their is deck parking available (However, it is not free) and places to park on the street which I find these spots to always be available. It is $2 during the week to park on the street and free on weekends. The parking deck is $10, so it is much better to find a street parking space. Parallel parking shall become your best friend if it is not..lol..Overall this place is phenomenal! read more

There's parking garages nearby and depending on the time of day parking on the same street. This place is great for smaller groups and possible bigger groups but it's best to call ahead for the best accommodations. There is outdoor seating available. My favorite foods on the menu are Coconut Curry Chicken, Chicken Skewers, Chicken Wild Mushroom ,Coconut Curry Salmon, Grilled Salmon, and Fire-Grilled Chicken. It's was a Friday and not very busy when we ordered. The staff wasn't helpful at all. I complained about the last sandwich which took longer than 15 minutes and all they said was "it's coming" they didn't even care to apologize. The Fresh to Oder is better in Johns creek. So I came for the first time last week. I ordered the tuna burger with garlic mashed potatoes, and fried calamari. The burger was full of flavor, but I personally wasn't a fan. I suppose it was maybe too much flavor, and not enough tuna to me. Just as I began to contemplate getting a new burger, the manager came and asked my thoughts on the food. When I explained my distaste, he offered to replace it. So I chose the bison burger. While I waited, I enjoyed (loved) the calamari, and mash potatoes. When the burger came out, my word how it was satisfyingly delicious!! So much so that I had to wrap it up to save for later. I didn't want it gone all at once.
