I've actually like the food at Fresh to Order, but this one has terrible customer service and management. It's clearly the worse of the 3-4 I've been to in the metro area. They give you all that 'fakey' greeting, but they really don't know how to service a customer. It's giving the franchise a bad name. I work in downtown Decatur and started coming here with high hopes until: -they continually got my order wrong -someone would come to my table and I would make a request which they said they would take care of and never do it -they would serve the person I'm with, and 10 minutes later I have to go up to the kitchen area and ask where my food is and I'd get some defensive response. And it was clear they hadn't even made it. -it feels dirty. I come to tables and have to ask them to wipe them down. And the floors feel sticky like they've never been washed. Just swept. So I've stopped bringing co-workers and clients. There are just too many great alternatives in Decatur. read more

Today was my first time here and I loved it! The customer service here is excellent. I was with some friends and one of them is very particular about her food. She sent her salad back 3 times and the chef re-made it for her with no problem. The waiter was very nice about it as well. I ordered the full sized salmon which was cooked to perfection BUT it was a little on the salty side. So salty, in fact, that my lips were burning. It was still good. The dish comes with a small green salad and wild rice. It will definitely fill you up. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other things they have to offer. read more

After passing by this place hundreds of times, we decided to come try it for a light meal on Sunday evening, particularly because we wanted some fresh and good food. First, parking in downtown Decatur is street or garages. So you have to pay for parking, unless it's after 6 pm. This location has a nice little outdoor seating area and an indoor seating area that's about the same size. We found the temperature WAY too cold inside so we sat outside. On one part of the outdoor seating, there's that weird fake string turf on the group. Not sure why but not a big deal. You order at the front and then receive a number to keep on your table. Drinks are self pour-- even the wine and beer, which seemed odd. We came around 7:30 pm and didn't have to wait long to order or find a table. What did take a long time was receiving our order... We found out later that it was because they had slightly over cooked the chicken skewers and had to start over. It was nice that they would redo it instead of serving us slightly burnt chicken. We ordered the tomato bisque and creamy chicken vegetable soups. Both were good, but they were not hot at all. It was almost like they had it sitting out for a while before they brought it over (likely since they said they had to start over with the chicken). I was disappointed because I had originally wanted the wild mushroom soup, but they had run out. We also got the almond chicken skewers and crispy calamari. Both were excellent-- particularly the skewers. The chicken was moist, seasoned well, and had a great crisp on the outside. The calamari came with lemon frites which was a refreshing bite, and the skewers came with an Asian slaw. The slaw was fresh and tasty. Overall, we were quite pleased with the food taste-- an appropriate food temperature would be the only thing I'd change. All in all, we enjoyed our meal out in the patio and will probably return soon!! read more

While the staff here is extremely friendly and attentive -- presumably forced to behave this way by overbearing management -- I definitely did not enjoy my salmon panini. At more than $10, it was overpriced and a bit small. But value-for-money aside, it was just weird. Kind of a slimy texture and unappetizing sweet flavor, perhaps because of the corn in the sandwich. It was gross to eat -- you take a bite and the entire thing sort of slid out of the bread. Chips on the side were fine, but a bit crazy they force you to pay extra if you prefer salad. If only I was in France and could have had a delicious €4 baguette with salmon, avocado, and hard-boiled egg instead. Wish I had gone to "Victory Sandwich" down the road instead. Good spot for somewhat healthy, fresh options that are easy for take-out. I prefer this location to the one in Midtown, as it was a little easier to park, less busy, and my order was ready after only a short time. Loved the option for cucumber lemon water while I waited. I ordered the half-and-half with the chicken tortilla soup (with a clear broth that was lighter than others I've had) and the Southwest salad (which was huge for a half portion). The F2O branch at 205 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 is engaged in false advertising and has extremely poor customer service. I took my family to this F2O franchise for dinner on Friday 6/21/19 at 6:45pm. We ordered a panini and a salmon burger, and two kids salmon meals. We went there for the advertised kids meal discount, which on their board in front says "Kids Grub 0.99, every night 4pm-9pm/all day on weekends, kids must be 12 years old or younger. Does not include a drink. Must purchase a panini, salad, or entree in order to receive discount." Instead of being charged $2 for the kids meals, we were charged $6. When I brought this to the attention of the cashier, she said that the discount is $5 for the kids meal. I told her that it is advertised as 0.99 for a kids meal. When I asked the manager Kelly, she also said it is 0.99 for a kids meal. When I showed her the sign in front of the business establishment advertising the kids meal, she said "Well, the sign is wrong." When I asked to speak to her manager, she said "He's on vacation." OK. This is clearly false advertisement, made worse by the fact that one week ago I went to the same establishment and ordered the same kids meals, and received them each for 0.99. There are clearly issues with false advertisement at F2O, and mind-boggling poor customer service. State and federal laws are in place to protect consumers from false or misleading advertising. These laws make deceptive claims illegal. No business may make false, misleading, or deceptive claims about a product regarding its price. We could have resolved this at the counter, but the manager absolutely refused for unclear reasons. Beware this establishment. read more

I've been to F2O a few times across the southeast. Ordered my food to go - my fault for not checking the bag once it was handed to me but there was a missing items - and of course I noticed once I got home. I called F2O and they said I could come back and pick it up. When I arrived the manager was more than accommodating and apologizes multiple times. I asked what was wrong and they said there was a leak and that it was in the process of getting fixed. I visited F2O on Friday, February 27th for lunch with my co-workers. I have not been there before, but had heard wonderful things about it. My experience was not so lucky. Upon arrival and after a short wait, I ordered a Mediterrean Salad with Almond Crusted Tuna as an add-on. I also asked for the dressing on the side. When the servers brought our lunches, mine had tuna fish on top...(ew!) so they took it back to the kitchen to have it re-made. No big deal...happens all the time, right? Well, literally 20 minutes later (I only get an hour for lunch and its a 5 minute walk to/from the office) I meet eyes with the food runner, he turns around to see how much longer it's going to take to make my SALAD! Then he comes straight out to our table AND THEN TURNS THE CORNER TO AVOID ME! So I call him over and he says it's going to just take about 2 seconds and he is going to have the manager comp my meal. Cool beans! 10 minutes later...STILL NO FREAKING SALAD!! It is no 12:40 and I gotta be at work in 20 minutes. So FINALLY the manager brings me my salad. THEN HE TRIES TO TAKE OFF WITHOUT EVEN SAYING HE WAS SORRY! I stop him & ask him about comping my lunch, to which he replies, that he would take care of it. Then I dig into my salad...and guess what? NO DRESSING! Luckily the lunch runner comes over to ask how my food is & he runs over to grab some for me real quick. The salad and tuna were good, but nothing worth waiting 45 minutes for and definitely not worth the $12-$14 it cost. Then guess what...I need to leave and still no manager. He sends a different food runner over with about 4 $2 off coupons for me - still no 'sorry'. I'm beyond ticked at this point - not at the staff - but at the manager. I take my coupons up to him and tell him I am not interested in coming back and I just want my money back...and besides, 4 $2 off coupons don't even cover how much I spent on that salad. He takes my receipt and I'm thinking he is running the credit on my credit card. 3 minutes later he comes back with some additional coupons saying he wants me to come back and is sorry. At this point I am pissed but I gotta go back to work like 5 minutes ago, so I leave. MANAGEMENT SUCKS! Food is ok but definitely not worth the prices or any kind of wait. I go to this place about 2 to 3 times a week on my lunch break, always get the smoky Southwest Panini with shredded marinated chicken. Well they just change the recipe and now it's a dried chicken breast and not good anymore so disappointed I don't love anything on the menu as much as I love that sandwich probably will not be going back. I surprised to learn that we were getting an F2O in our indie food town of decatur. I had previously dined at a couple around the city and never had a bad meal. I'm delighted to say that our lunch today was made in a timely manner and tasted delicious. My gf and I are pescatarians so our options are usually limited. Pleased to see a tuna burger which was surprisingly filling and a black bean burger that was light but also filling. We came in for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The manager took our order, and was incredibly friendly. We didn't realize that the mushroom soup was milk based. Once it came, we brought it back up to the counter. The manager replaced it with a panini at no up change. My club salad with chicken was surprisingly very delicious... Came here and ordered a mixed green salad with shrimp. Mixed greens salads do not have romaine in them. Apparently, theirs does. The shrimp was also translucent and undercooked on the inside. I sent the salad back and the manager told me their shrimp comes precooked but it's often a complaint they get so customers have to tell them to cook it longer. What? Seems as though it's not too fresh then! If it's a common complaint, then fully cooking it should become standard. He was kind and refunded my order and gave me a coupon. Today was the first day I took my mom since she just moved into the area. She wanted one of the cookies but wasn't sure how it would taste or if she would like it. It was all fresh & yummy! My dining companion suggested my choices. He eats there about 3 times a week. My meal was a winner. Plus, everyone was very pleasant & helpful.
