Service has gone down! We're I live, there at least two orders a week. It started will small requests being unfulfilled to tonight's order where a significant part of the order was missing. Called immediately and was told it will be sent out right away. 30 mins later nothing l. Called back and was told I just called and it's on it's way. Told phone operator that it had been 30 mins, and was called a liar. In short, maybe I should of just done pick up? It's only 12 blocks away. The outside appearance of the restaurant does nothing to tell you about it. It looks like a run-of-the-mill Chinese place in a strip mall. You could drive past it and not even realize it. Take a shot and order from Fresh Wok though. We used to live near enough for delivery and loved it! The value is crazy. The servings are large and inexpensive. Tons of great choices on the menu. I love the sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken. My favorite is the chicken and broccoli since there isn't any breading and makes for easier re-heating. The lo-mien is fantastic here either the veggie or chicken. If your a fan of wantons I highly suggest them from here. Plenty of cream cheese and they they are flaky and crisp not think and crunchy which is a preference of mine. I have tried the meat ones. This is the first time I've ever had Chinese delivered and THANKS TO THE RATERS I chose Fresh Wok. I live 5 blocks from Great Wall and I am tired of their high prices and just OK food. It is just convenient. Well, never again. Fresh Wok wins hands down. OMG the hot and spicy dumplings are like something you have never had before; not at all like fried dumplings. The peanut sauce spread on top is awesome and they are very generous. The house special chow men ALSO like nothing I've ever had, not the normal corn starch thickened sauce. Unbelievable. Last but not least, Egg Foo Yung so good and man that is how you can test a restaurant by the egg foo yung. The quantities were unbelievable and I am a good 5 miles away and my food was still really hot. Man, this is a score. I am going to have another entire meal with the leftovers. I have ordered from this restaurant a handful of times. The only dish somewhat worth ordering was the lemon chicken. I will not order that dish any longer either. It is so overloaded with breading and undercooked normally. I have also tried the rib tips, full ribs, chicken egg foo young, garlic chicken all were not worth a dime of my money. If it you could taste any flavor past all of the cheap filler vegetables of carrots, celery and onions, it was not a good flavor. Our organization has been ordering from this place for years; approximately once a week. We ordered last night and didn't think we needed to go through our order piece by piece to make sure it was all there. We were shorted 3 egg rolls and 3 orders of wontons, all of which were paid for! Sadly, this restaurant which my husband and I both loved has gone downhill severely in customer service and accuracy of orders since changing ownership and staff. I have been laughed at so far, they have screwed up numerous orders and this evening, when my husband came in to pick up a phone-in order, one of the staff saw him and asked, "Can I help you, sir?" He said he was there to pick up his phone-in order, and she immediately said,"Spareribs, right?" which was not his order! However, she did ask the (white) customer before him what he ordered and gave him his correct order. They also forgot to give me sauce with my dumplings. :/ The previous staff were very friendly, efficient, cordial and they knew us and treated us well and our orders were ALWAYS correct. This is my regular Chinese place. It is quite good for an Americanized Chinese delivery joint. I usually get a combination platter, which is at least 2 meals for around 8 bucks - great deal. The lady on the phone is a bit hard to understand and impatient, but she takes all my odd substitutions and I have never gotten an order wrong after ordering from Fresh Wok for the past 3 years. I have always enjoyed the food here in the past, but I am starting to have second thoughts. I ask about gluten free options sometimes, and they have at times claimed that they have to charge extra even though it has never been true in the past. Delivery people are sometimes extremely rude, claiming that they need me to come to the curb to pick up the food even though I can see many open spots on the street and there is a circle available to pull into in front of the building. Once, when I requested the delivery person to buzz in, he got upset and hung up on me, then pounded loudly on my door and handed me the food with no verbal acknowledgement at all. I would recommend not adding tip to a delivery order and add tip with cash so you can amend according to how the service, which is what I will be doing in the future. If you are looking for gluten free, I would recommend going literally anywhere else. Some staff do not seem knowledgeable about what gluten is and offer different information sometimes, making me concerned that I am not getting food that is actually gluten-free. read more

This place is unable to take delivery orders. I am usually a very kind and understanding person but they made me so stressed trying to get my food that I wasn't hungry when it arrived. I just moved to Minneapolis so delivery was a whole new experience for me... Never again will I order from this place. They did not tell me when they would arrive, it took them well over an hour and a half to get here, they messed up my order, they didn't inform me they didn't take debit card and the delivery man was angry at me (I thought it was 2016 oops), they weren't clear what door they were waiting at when they got to my apartment so I ended up walking all the way to the other side and back, and some of the food was cold and overall mediocre. After reading some of the reviews I'm just praying to God that I don't get food poisoning. I am already sick and suffering from the stress of college and this place made everything worse. Very good Chinese all around. I got the Hunan Chicken and it had enough vegetables and they were done nicely (a bit crunchy and fresh). It was a bit oily, but what good American Chinese food isn't? The price was decent (9.65 for a large) and they seemed very busy. I also like the fact they have hot oil and they made my Hunan extra spicy and extra saucy, which is how I ordered it.
