I got there as soon as they opened, so I pretty much had the entire establishment to myself. I went with the Famous Prime Rib Dip sandwich with Tater Tots. What a fantastic choice. The sandwich was absolutely amazing and flavorful. The horseradish cream, Harvarti cheese, and the Demi-Glace made this sandwich on point. I must admit that I had a bit of nostalgia when I ate tater tots. I think the last time I had tater tots, I was in elementary school. Never been a fan of them, but these were actually pretty good. The food was prepared well but I would have liked a little more to the dish. Corn pancake had no grit or pieces of corn. Chicken was good but still needed a sauce. I asked for ranch and hot sauce. Came her recently when I was in town for a Vikings game. We won pretty handily, so we wanted to celebrate nearby. We walked down the street just as fast as we could, but when we got there, there was already a line out the door. Ambiance was very fun. Very Minnesota, tons of TVs, different levels of seating, so there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Service was pretty ok. It was packed beyond belief, so I'll give them some leeway on that. No way they can staff for that packed of a house all the time. As for the food, it was also pretty ok. The wings were very good, but the nachos were faulty. I've heard decent things about Tom's watch bar. Was in the area for a play and decided to check it out. It was not busy when walked it but as time went on it got packed as they seated everyone on the same side of the restaurants. Tables were packed super tight imo. Once it got busier it was so loud, and it felt a bit overstimulating/overwhelming being in the middle of so many conversations happening over the loudness. They don't have any happy hour specials, and they are cashless. They do have that 4% or whatever charge for health or something included into your bill - still need tip. We ordered potstickers from the appetizers - they were just okay - a little slimy & the wrapper was thick - which is mostly what you tasted - like a noodle. The waiter took so long being appetizer plates that they would have been cold if we waited any longer to eat them. We ordered drinks as well, they don't tell you the price of the drinks but use dollar signs to show when they are more expensive I guess. Most drinks were $13.99. We also ordered entrees. My mom got the chicken club sandwich with tots, she said it was good but not worth the price. I got the impossible burger... which is mostly where my 1 star is rooted from. I'm not vegan but don't eat beef/pork. When I'm sick of chicken I go for veggie/impossible burgers. Again for the price they did nothing & I mean nothing to this burger. Just a patty, stale bun, lettuce, tomato & onion. I asked for ketchup & mayo on the side. Some restaurants char grill it, season it or something. Or serve it with a house sauce or something. The BUN. The bun was not fresh at all. When they put it down I could see the cracks on top and when I picked it up it completely crumbled. The bottom of the bun has a weird texture and was so stale and funny tasting with the burger also being so bare that I couldn't even eat it. Along with the service... our forks were taken with the appetizer plate so didn't get the chance to even request a new one to try to just eat the patty with the ketchup and mayo. That set the tone for me. I cannot trust any of the food is good enough to come back + the prices. We just happened to stop by on a Friday night. We sat at the bar. It wasn't a really busy night and there were no games in town. There was a Lynx away game, Vikings pre season game and several baseball games playing. We had already eaten but the food looked good and I would be interested in going back and trying some. Stopped in for a quick drink as we are in the area for the weekend. Upon walking in we were greeted by the hostess and taken through a tight maze of filled tables to our table. We waiting a bit for a server to come over to us and take drink orders. I would say the table layout is packed really close together and makes it tough to navigate on the side of the bar we were at. Luckily they have a 9pm-close happy hour on drinks and appetizers. We I ordered their strawberry mint spritzer mocktail and it was delicious. The mint definitely could've been muddled slightly more though. My boyfriend ordered a voodoo ranger which is usually his go to beer. We opted for a small order of buffalo wings as the happy hour pricing was $7. We got about 6 wings that were very wonky looking in size but super spicy and were pretty good. The biggest complaint I had is they definitely appeared to be understaffed and we ended up having to get up and go get silverware and napkins from a nearby table. About maybe 15-20minutes after our food came out our server finally reappeared asking if we needed plates and napkins. We already ate our food as we didn't want to let it get cold. Food was fine. Beer was cold. The bartender was pleasant. Thing that absolutely pisses me off is when you get the bill, management puts a little mark up service fee. In this case, it was 4%. I simply give 20% tips for regular service so in this case, I gave 16% which added to the 4% service fee mark up still equals 20%. Same money for me but now I will not go to this bar again. If you want to charge a certain price, charge it. Don't try to be slick by trying to sneak in a service fee. Perfect spot to watch sport games. Tons of TVs. They opened at 11 on Saturday, we got there 1115 to watch some college football and the one side of the spot was packed. Luckily we did get a table, and within another 15 minutes the other side was packed, and people had a minimum of 35 min wait to get in. This is very nice sports bar near the Target Center. Large bars and lots of seating and big and medium sized TVs to watch all sports. The hotel I stayed at recommended it and it was nice. Short walk which made it great. I sat at the bar, and like may posters, felt invisible. Finally someone noticed me. The bartender was very nice and helpful but when I asked about a local IPA it seemed to stump her. I ordered some wings (honey bbq) and they were really good. Well cooked and just the right amount of sweet. The wings were large and meaty. The bartender made some recommendations on food which was helpful. I had the nachos with brisket and a large Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary wasn't very spicy (which was good for me) and the nachos were great with layers of chips and cheese and toppings. Even at the bottom, there were still chips either cheese. The chips were the multicolored ones, which I think is trying too hard to be fun, but that's a very small complaint. I was still waiting for my friends when I finished my food and drink so I ordered a beer. Even though they were really busy, Adrian was quick and helpful. The beers come in three sizes...16, 22, and 40 oz! (To the guy who ordered 40oz of Guinness..your stomach is way stronger than mine!). I recommend the 22 oz, but the 40 does come in a cool glass with two handles. While I was there, they did a giveaway as well as free Jell-O shots.
