    The OG Luce pizza
    Jenn N.

Ate here twice when in town for a couple of days. I am a pizza snob. This place delivers. The dough is obviously rested, docked & cooked at the perfect temp. The toppings arefresh & high quality. The salad was also on point. You had me at Wednesdays are whiskey days! Service was great, both at sit down & towards the later hours at the bar. The bartender on Thursday late night was awesome. He was friendly, helpful & working hard! The OG Luce pizza was really good - especially if you are a big fan of garlic. My fav was the "original" - closest to a combo IMO

What a great place. I'm jealous that Twin Cities resident have such a fantastic vegan pizza parlor with free delivery and a sizable menu. I tried a specialty pizza and made my own pepperoni and artichoke pie. The crust was perfect on both and I don't think you can go wrong with the vegan melt cheese or their home made vegan ricotta. I am looking forward to trying their pasta and salad next!

Pizza Lucé truly doesn't miss, no matter the location. After a certain time at night (unsure when), you are carded (21+) in order to enter. However, the security were all very friendly and the staff inside were very efficient. You have to pay extra for ranch which kinda sucks, but other than that, my experience here has been great every time.

I've been dying to try Pizza Luce for some time now and I finally had the opportunity to try the downtown Minneapolis location. Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience which is the reason for the 2 stars. I sat down at the bar which wasn't crazy busy for a Saturday night and ended up waiting roughly 10+ mins until someone came over to me to finally say hi. The bartender seemed to notice that I was there but took a while to approach me and decided to clean up another area, check the tvs, and put away the glasses all before even saying something like I'll be right with you. I asked for the menu and was only provided a food menu...when I was really hoping for a cocktail menu as well. I ordered the elote gfree pizza which was delish but the ambience and lack of friendliness of my server/bartender was over shadowing this first time experience hence the two stars. He just seemed to have an attitude. Couldn't even get a smile out of him. Anyways I'll probably try another Pizza Luce location before coming back to try one downtown. Too bad too.

We ordered Pizza Lucé while staying at the Residence Inn Downtown/City Center nearby. We arrived back to the hotel late from a concert at the nearby Target Center, and were definitely feeling a little hungry after a long show, so appreciated their late hours. The staff at the hotel's front desk were the ones that suggested Pizza Lucé, so we were a little trepidatious, thinking maybe they had a deal with them to send them business - but even if they did have a reciprocal arrangement, the food we received was DELICIOUS. My photos won't be super pretty because we definitely ate everything out of the containers they came in at the little table in the hotel room (which didn't hurt the quality at all, by the way). We shared an order of the Mostaccioli, and it was excellent. I'm used to Mostaccioli just being a little side item of sauce and noodles, but this was a full entree size, full of well made sauce, super tender noodles, and a TON of cheese on top. It was really tasty paired with the garlic bread that came with the meals (but I'm a garlic bread fiend, so maybe that was just me LOL) Our hangry group also split the Lasagna Abruzzi, which you can choose from a few different sauces for - we picked Alfredo, and YUM! It was the perfect match of creamy, meaty, and actually pretty light with the thinner lasagna noodles they use. It was also a huge serving. We ordered a few desserts and I got the tiramisu. It was in it's own little clam shell packaging, and was pretty standard as tiramisu goes. It's my favorite dessert, so I will take it pre-packaged, homemade, out of a freezer, whatever. Now, we only had the delivery experience, so please consider that when reading my review. The dining in the restaurant I'm sure is even better, and I will for sure be checking it out in person next time I'm in Minneapolis. If you're staying at the Residence Inn Downtown/City Center (or anywhere near there), and want a great delivery option, Pizza Lucé is definitely in the conversation!

Ordered this for delivery at our hotel downtown. The garlic cheese toast was pretty basic and my least favorite dish. The pepperoni pizza was good, but the standout was the Lasagna Abruzzi finished with an Alfredo sauce. I would HIGHLY recommend trying that.

    Pretty menus

We had the buffalo wings and Hulapeno pizza. It is delicious I would definitely eat it again! It's comfortable and not too loud. Great draft beer selection. Service was fast and kind.

Love pizza Luce!! The best vegan pizza I've ever had. So delicious! All of their pizzas are way above the average pizza. The toppings are all fresh. The pizzas are cooked perfectly. And the salads are amazing. I always like to have a salad with my pizza so I'm very glad they have such good choices. We have only had delivery and the delivery staff are so nice and friendly. My family loves Pizza Luce and we get pizza from here whenever we get the chance

Stopped by Pizza Lucé while in Minneapolis and we really enjoyed it. Their watermelon salad was delish! And the small size was more than enough for two people to share. We also had a small pizza with meatballs, red onion and bruschetta tomatoes and let me tell you, I wish more places did that. The tomatoes were so yummy! Our server was so sweet and really helpful with recommendations. The vibe of the restaurant was super fun too. All around a great experience.

You can a text when it is your turn to be seated, and you are able to wander the neighborhood during the wait. It is close to Lake Harriet, so if you're looking for a way to kill time, you can walk towards the lake and sit on one of the benches! Once you're at Broder's, you're in for a treat! It is a sit-down restaurant that feels on the nicer end of casual. It'd be a good date night spot, but also is good for gathering with friends and family. They have plenty of good options, including some dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free items on their menu which is clearly labeled. The service is always friendly, and they're always attentive, even when it gets busy! They start you off with some free breads, and there is olive oil at the table which you can use with the bread. They have a good selection of wines, and some beer and non alcoholic beverages. If you like a sweet wine that tastes mostly like juice, I highly recommend their moscato d'asti! As for their food, they have so many good pastas, you can't really go wrong. They are able to accommodate some modifications! I think in the past, I've subbed for another pasta shape. I recently also ordered the Tagliarini di Locanda di Lupo without Proscuitto to be vegetarian-friendly! It was very cheesy and creamy, and truffle-forward, as expected! I had their Spaghetti Al Limone, which was nice and buttery and still felt light and fresh with the basil and lemon. I've been to Broder's several times throughout the years, and I enjoy it every time! I would recommend stopping!

The standout to me was the complimentary freshly baked warm bread they serve after you order your drinks. It would have benefitted from salted butter though. Moving onto our dinner portion, the burrata was yummy but it needed more balsamic and one more slice of grilled ciabatta. The Brussels could have been Caramelized a little longer as they were a little hard when biting into. They were also just sitting in a puddle of honey, so that was the main flavor I was tasting. The pasta dish was so tiny and only has 4 small pieces of chicken. It didn't really have a taste, other than cream. For dessert, we ordered the caramel sea salt custard, seasonal cobbler (peach), and the budino. The standout for me was the caramel sea salt custard, the salted caramel popcorn was a fun crunch amongst the creamy thick custard. My cappuccino was very small, but it was a nice touch to serve it with a little biscotti piece (I would have appreciated a longer piece though). If I'm in the area for a show at the Target Center again or any theaters, I would give them another shot. I would not drive from the suburbs for this though.

I love the pink and green, and the place settings are gorgeous. Bonus: the team is super fast with clearing and bringing replacements so you always have a clean plate. Add in huge windows that brings in tons of light, and you have one of the most photogenic eateries in town. Dario's beverage menu is wonderful, and I especially want to draw attention to their extensive selection of non-alcoholic options. In addition to house-made sodas and creative cocktails, they have a wonderful list of dealcoholized wines--awesome news for anyone who is looking for a zero proof drink. As for the food, Dario knocks it out of the park with a menu that offers options for all tastes. The menu is designed to share, and the variety ensures that there will be something for everyone. The first two dishes that ai sampled were the Gem Lettuces, which our server described as "a Caesar salad on steroids" and the Morel Mushrooms. The Gem Lettuces were delicious--the zippy vinaigrette was better than any Caesar I have had before, the cheese was a fluffy, savory, and salty delight, and the puffed farro was a pleasing alternative to the usual croutons. Bonus: it's fish-free! I'd say that it's less a Caesar salad on steroids and more what happens when the Caesar salad next door goes off to college and has a glow-up. The morels were served on polenta and complemented with Madeira and tarragon. They came with a confit egg yolk. The presentation was strikingly beautiful, and the flavors pure and harmonious. The morels were cooked perfectly and went beautifully with the wine and tarragon--it was a great dish for spring, and everyone enjoyed the layers of texture and flavor. For our pasta choices, we had the English Pea Triangoli that Lu recommended (thanks Lu!) and the doppio. It's easy to see why Dario is known for its pasta--these dishes were amazing. The English Pea Triangoli was otherworldly: sweet peas, snap peas, onions, mint, and pea sprouts come together with butter to make a nostalgic little bite of heaven. It tastes like spring. Sicilian pistachios add crunch and another layer of sweet and salt, and the lightly steamed vegetables and fresh pea shoots and mint also added layers of texture and freshness. Positively superlative. The Doppio was also gorgeous: one side is filled with ricotta and the other sunchoke. Honey adds sweetness and the hazelnuts toastiness reminiscent of browned butter. The rosemary complemented it all. For my dessert, I had the Earl Gray tea cake. It had a very pleasing crumb and subtle sweetness, and the lemon whipped cream was the perfect accompaniment. The sprinkle of toffee cookie added a lovely caramelized crunch, and the bright acidity of the rhubarb was preserved, making for a juicy and refreshing burst of flavor in every bite. Splendid! Thanks to Dario for a wonderful evening!

The interior of the space is whimsical and fun with green and pink interior design elements, gold accents, and fun artwork! It truly feels like a special escape from reality when inside...similar to an Alice in Wonderland experience. Our server was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about what to order. I particularly appreciated how our pasta came out in intentional courses from lightest to heaviest. It absolutely elevated the meal to top notch. Known for their handmade pasta, we didn't mess around with any other menu items...we just ordered four different plates of pasta: Doppio, Torteletti, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, and Tajarin! The Doppio was my favorite, with a unique double filled pasta that had a savory sunchoke filling highlighted with a pop of whipped ricotta. The Rigatoni was cozy and warm, serving up perfect comfort food vibes. The Tajarin was the ocean in a bowl and my partner's favorite, but it was a bit too salty for my palate. The food was top notch and the environment was stellar, but I did feel a bit of cognitive dissonance. The food was so grounded, earthy, and cozy yet the interior was whimsical, playful, and ethereal. This disconnect took my out of the experience a bit. Add in that the price points are a bit high, and I could see why some might have different expectations. Overall, I'm glad Dario is taking swings at providing something truly unique to the North Loop! I will absolutely be returning!

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.
