He gave me contact information to follow up with an associate and indeed, she reached out to me on July 21 for pictures and some information about my project. I replied with pictures to them on July 23rd. Seemed good so far... unfortunately they completely ghosted me after that. I contacted the same person on July 28th... no reply... just got ignored. I then contacted them again on August 3rd... no reply... just got ignored. If you don't like arrogant business people wasting your time and ghosting you then I don't recommend this company as they demonstrate a strong lack of respect for their (potential) customers and indeed, I'm now signing with a different company to do my construction project. Edit: Got a call from the owner and he expressed what I felt was a very genuine apology over the apparent inadvertent "ghosting" that I had experienced via communications with an associate. Unfortunately, it's now too late to pursue any potential business with Bradly Builders as a result but of course mistakes happen and I think and feel like Bradley Builders made the effort to reach out and express regret about the experience. S & D Stone and Tile has now responded to my review…read more Please note the owner's response never addresses the issue that led me to provide my review in the first place. I would like to point out that our job was an insurance claim, all the contractors were assigned by the insurance company. The only contractor we hired ourselves was S & D! Notably, you can see that my review never commented on the quality of work that his crew completed. They did a good job. The problem was the owner, who refused to communicate with us. We hired S & D in March... and due to the owners lack of response to our messages and calls, our job was not completed until the end of June. I would say, if you want to work with a company that refuses to return your calls or messages, then S & D is the company for you.

He then worked through several layouts with us to get the best design and best use of the slabs. We live three hours away from his shop and he said he would bring our remnants, make some cutting boards and a backsplash for our larder pantry. On Jan 28th, the crew arrived in a timely fashion and worked all day installing our slab. We bought them pizza and we were very pleased with the craftsmanship. The mitered edges and seams looked great! His crew was polite and knowledgeable. However, when questioned about the remnants(from two slabs), cutting boards (2x) and larder pantry backsplash, one guy said they were not cut yet. They said they'd be in this area again the following week and could bring them. We withheld payment. Steve contacted us the next morning at 7 am demanding payment and insisting the remnants had been thrown away. When challenged, (he was supposed to use the sink cutout for cutting boards), he backpedaled and said they cut into them and he'd send us pictures so we could see what he was talking about. He never sent us pictures. Then he said he would use remnants from a similar slab and deliver them to us. Begrudgingly, we paid him. Then, crickets. My husband called him for over a week and he wouldn't answer. Finally, we used someone else's phone and he picked up right away. He stated he didn't answer my husband's calls because his whole crew had been out sick (but willing to answer a different number?) We continued to call him once a week, and then daily. We started texting, and he was short and seemed angry, insisting we were getting the pantry backsplash and cutting boards for free. He agreed to do it with the slabs we had paid for. I value integrity and honesty and expect people to stick to their word. He finally had one cutting board (about 8 1/2x11 in) and the pantry backsplash delivered on March 19th and we never heard another word. My feeling about this experience--we worked exceptionally hard as the customer to get the service and product we agreed to. I felt like there was dishonesty along the way and our remnants got legs and took a hike. It's unfortunate because the craftsmanship of Steve and his crew is impressive, but I wouldn't feel comfortable referring him to a family or friend based on our experience, particularly when there was multiple opportunities to make it right.

I hired RAM Woodworks at the recommendation of someone I respect who had used them before. I had…read moretwo possible design ideas depending on cost. Kevin came out and we did a preliminary drawing of the first option. After getting pricing from the contractor on moving a wall, I decided against that design. I drew out another option and Kevin came back out to finalize measurements with the second design. I am a visual person, so I had the major room changes taped out on the floor with painters tape. Kevin sent me the drawings via email and I approved the drawings. I hired a separate company to do the countertops and they were very willing to work with Kevin on the design collaboration necessary to make my dream a reality. A couple weeks in, I called Kevin to add depth to the island to accommodate a downdraft vent rather than having a hood suspended from the ceiling, and sent him the specifications for the downdraft. He also had specifications for the sink and appliances, although I planned on using the appliances I already had installed in my old kitchen. When the cabinets were installed, I was ecstatic. This was the culmination of 10 years of dreaming and planning. However, for some reason, he hadn't measured the appliances and built the cabinet for a 30" oven rather than the 27" I had. The same was true for the sink cabinet. He added a patch and touch up paint and said this was normal. The additional 3" he added to the island wasn't sufficient for the downdraft vent, and as a result he had to shorten the island drawers to allow it to fit. There was another fiasco with the pantry cabinet, but I was satisfied with his solution for fixing this. He apparently also hadn't measured the dimensions of the kitchen bench I had taped out on the floor, and made it considerably smaller than I had anticipated. I take full responsibility for this, however, as I didn't double-check the dimensions on my floor with what he had on the drawing. When I became upset about the lack of measurements, he was offended by my questioning of his abilities. He said these were my problem, that I was getting upset over nothing and subsequently quit working with me. Although I paid him in full, they never did come back to put the trim on. One of the lazy susan cabinets broke, and when I called Richard he said it was an easy fix and I could do it myself. If you choose to use them, be sure to double check ALL the dimensions on the drawings, and do not question their work or show any distress. They don't deal well with that and have no interest in customer service. Or for goodness sake, don't pay them in full if you aren't completely happy. You will never hear from them again.
