I use to keep my stylist in Fremont but my neighbor turned me on to this place and I never looked back. Typically you walk in and get greeted unless they're all busy, but they have a sign-in sheet which helps them keep on track with customers waiting. Also just note the person/stylist,if you have a favorite, on the sheet. Most people just walk-in so don't be surprised if you wait; so if you are under a time constraint then ask how long the wait will be (common sense). I've been coming so long; but still follow the rules by signing in and wait. But when it's my turn, I just sit in the chair and shoot the bull with Simon while he cuts my hair, then pay and off I go! And as for the price in comparison to what other barber shops charge these days ($40++), this place is super reasonable! BTW, I've had the other stylists cut my hair when Simon has been on vacation. I called Friday for two Saturday haircut appointments and they scheduled me right away. I don't think they have a website or socials so just give them a call to schedule. We showed up and waited a couple minutes for them to finish their previous appointments, it was really busy! There's about 6 chairs for those to wait in, and 6 stations where they were cutting hair. I was seated with Angie, showed her an inspo picture and she gave me exactly what I wanted, a trim and quick style. After seeing the final results, due to my hair type she recommended trying a new style/cut and I was in the mood to try something new so she went out of her way to re-cut and style my hair. She showed me two styling options and was very patient even though she basically had to redo my hair. She said they also do pre-event styling so if you have an event where you want your hair to look a little nicer, you can schedule with them starting at $45+. But I left feeling confident and ready to go out even just with the cut I received In total we paid $65 for two haircuts (no washing, just trim and styling) which is a steal in my opinion! I went to the location and it is in old town Elk Grove right next to the railroad tracks. They do have street parking and a cross the street is a parking lot. I got a spot there. When I drove by I only saw one guy inside getting his hair done so I hoped they could fit me in since i didn't have an appointment. I walked in and sat down. Only still seeing the one customer getting his hair cut. I asked if he could fit me in? He looked at his watch and said he could fit me in right after this guy. I was happy he fit me in. A few minutes went by and another guy walked into the shop. The barber asked if he had an appointment and the man said he didn't . The barber said that he couldn't fit him in today because he didn't have enough staff and he was booked up for that day. He could come in tomorrow and get a hair cut. The guy said ok and left. After he had left I thanked the barber for fitting me in since I had no appointment. The barber was named Justin. I told him that my wife wanted my hair to look like Thor's haircut and I showed him a picture. He said that the hair in the picture was different than mine but he could get close to it. I told him great. Justin did a great job on my hair and I was very happy with the new look. He charged me $30 bucks which was a straight cut and no wash. I got a card from him so that I could get an appointment next time. Great place.
