They have one parking spot designated for customers that you can hop in the store real quick and hop out. Which is really nice. After an eye opening experience with the new ownership under the guidance of Tino and Carsyn Frausto, I feel compelled to write a review. A little background, I generally frequent Rainbow Cleaners for dry cleaning but on this occasion I inquired about whether they had a tailor who could sew a couple of button on a jacket. Upon inspection of the jacket, a young lady stated that she would inform me if the job was possible on a later date. A few days later, I received a phone call from the same young lady who stated that the tailor would be able to complete the job at the cost of $15 dollars. I agreed and this is where I hoped the story would end, I could pick up my jacket, smile and express my gratitude. Sadly the story was not to be, I was charged a bill of $25 dollars, my jacket was bound in shrink wrap (I had also agreed to have a dry cleaning, which apparently a faux polyester coat is a $10 charge). The story ends like this and coincidentally is the principal reason for this review is that no buttons had been sewn, Rainbow Cleaners handed me a jacket with no work done to it. I later learned that the person who handed me the jacket was the owner. Was this done intentionally? Should there have been an inspection? The very fact that such questions should be asked should help you navigate to the next dry cleaning establishment. Caveat Emptor. Edit: Response to Owner There are no falsehoods in my review. I specifically asked your employee if your business conducting the service of tailor/alterations. She responded yes and at no time did she state that the alleged contractor was not an independent contractor. Any reasonable prudent person in my position would have understood that they had entered a contract with the your business for two no severable services and good, the button, the sewing and the dry cleaning of my coat. Thus, the mere fact that your tailor is a independent contractor does not preclude the fact you were breach of the contract when I was handed a coat absent a button and nothing was sewed as was reasonably stated. Furthermore, the state of frauds states that a contract need not be in writing to be enforceable, by reading above its plain to see we entered into an oral contract. The mere fact that I was issued a partial refund does not preclude me from filing a suit (because I'm not inclined to have petty quarrels like the owner I will not waste my time) Further, the fact that you assert that I have some ulterior motive in writing a review is absurd. This is a defamatory statement and I do not take these assertions lightly. Once more, I have no intention of filing a suit but the general public should have a comprehensive factual understanding of both sides, not just a retort from an owner trying to save face. Also note: After, 'I alone inspected' and determined that no button was sewed, I alone asked for a refund. The owner/cashier did not offer to do the job, they did not explain what happened, had I not inspected nor asked for a refund. This storefront was perfectly happy to let me walk. read more
