I order from freshy fresh once a week. Coming from a customer service worker myself I've never encountered so many mistakes in my life. Every single time I order an egg sandwich from here it's always wrong. Missing something, ingredients added when it's not asked such as ketchup. I usually don't complain but it's starting to become very annoying paying for something and it's never right. I don't get how hard it is to give someone the correct food that they have asked for. If you want a bagel.... A real bagel. This is the only place to go. I was in the bagel business years ago. A true bagel is made by putting the raw bagel into boiling water (a kettle), then they are removed from the water with their yeast activated and get cooked in an oven with rotating shelves. It makes the perfect bagel. Most places use fast acting yeast and the bagels tend to lose their hole and become overblown and taste chewy like gum. Nobody wants bubblegum bagels but some of you may not know what a real bagel and much better product tastes like. Came to get breakfast and was so dissatisfied with the service I received. Not one person looked up to acknowledge I was there... I was the only person at the counter and no one bothered to look my way ‍... they finally noticed me and I asked for a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and when I got it... the bagel was cold.... it's a hot sandwich ‍... how do you not heat up the bread .... at least have the curtesy to ask if I would like it toasted... trust me... no one has ever complained about good costumer service! Every time I go to Freshy Fresh the line is so long and I have to wait 20+ minutes to get a bagel. Even when I call in an order I wait 15 minutes on the phone to place the order. Kitchen service is horrible. 30 minutes for 3 egg sandwiches, order got split so first sandwich was complete 10 minutes before the other two. Counter staff was confused and more concerned about blaming kitchen than fixing the problems. To top it all off - sandwich was poor. These are the best bagels around, along with Goldberg's in Patchogue. Freshy Fresh really does make their bagels the old fashioned way as advertised! There's nothing doughy about these bagels! Like authentic ones you can pretty much only find in NYC, they are boiled and are crunchy and chewy, your jaw is tired after eating them! I especially love the everythings; a toaster would be an insult to these beauties! Their cream cheese also tastes fresh every time, and they don't put too much or too little on! Sure, sometimes I'll get everything with scallion cream cheese and I have delightful breath, but definitely worth it! It's a little awkwardly placed, but don't let that drive you away! read more

I love how their flavored bagels are flavored from both sides, not just the top. This place probably has the best lox spread I've ever had. It has CHUNKS of lox in there, not just little bits. Given the name of the place, one would expect "freshy fresh" bagels, right? Nope. Easter morning, 7:30 am, ice cold... obviously thawing straight from the freezer. In my experience with other bagel stores this early in the day, the smell of the warm bagels wafts through my car, making them tough to resist on the ride home. Not here. The bagels I served my guests today for Easter brunch were stale, very dry, and cold... refrigerator cold. We threw them out. The nice girl that answered the phone didn't seem surprised when I told her. She asked me what time we were there, then apologized, and put the manager on the phone... a truly rude, unapologetic person who became belligerent when I told her our experience. I don't know what was going on this morning, but I do not plan on getting food at this location again. All I wanted was 2 egg sandwiches. There was no mention of a wait for sandwiches. I waited 20 minutes and then an additional 10 because they only made one sandwich not realizing I wanted the same one twice. Simple misunderstanding, but no apology and you would think my order would jump to the front but no, I still had to wait 10 minutes. I should have walked out but I felt as if I had vested too much time and I'm a nice guy who felt the sandwiches would go to waste. Ohh, and there was no apology when I was finally rung up either. I work in retail and the first thing you teach is set the expectation with all clients while apologizing and empathizing when appropriate.
