As someone previously said, the waiting area is tight, but it is worth the wait. There is also a small sit down area so you can chill there if needed. A good selection of cream cheese with olive being my fav. My last order was a turkey club on a roll which was a solid sandwich. Boar's head cold cuts are freshly sliced to your sandwich. The hubs got two egg bagels and they were coming out fresh. This place has let me down on so many occasions I can't even tell you. What happened the other day it's just more salt in the wound. I called ahead because I was in a rush and one of my order to be ready so I could walk in pay for it and leave. Additionally the food that I ordered was to be prepared hot. Nobody orders hot food to eat it cold. I walk into the bagel store and walk up to the counter and say is there a line for pick ups? Although I was told no she asked me what my name was because I told her I had called in an order over the phone and she went and grabbed it. She then looked at me and said next time you're gonna have to wait online. I looked at her and said what's the point in calling an order in if you're gonna have to stand online and wait for 10 people to get served ahead of you. She looked at me, had absolutely zero to say other than "sorry". I grabbed my order paid for it rolled my eyes and walked out. Since then I've taken a pole on Facebook and with friends etc. and presented the situation to them and ask them what the correct procedure would be in their minds. Had to run to Stop & Shop on the go one morning but my husband and I were craving a morning bagel and our usual spot is in the opposite direction of where we were headed for the day. We decided to give Best Bagels Around a try and came in right before the rush of people started piling up. We were quickly greeted and our order was prepared and brought out to us in a timely manner. Service was definitely efficient as they navigated through the morning stream of customers walking in and picking up called-in orders. My husband and I both got egg sandwiches (mine with bacon and his with sausage). Bagels were soft and super fresh. Sandwiches were nice and warm. Positive experience overall. read more

I live in Ronkonkoma, I called to order a Bacon and egg on an everything roll. No answer! So I called about 10 more times. Rings and rings no answer. So I drove there, but they were out of the everything rolls. I'm not sure how to deal with them? Don't get me wrong, they make a great breakfast sandwich. Thank you to whatever development planner decided to add this to the sunshine plaza (Insert glory hands)! This plaza was lacking just that a deli. I'm so glad to see this place open up. Inside is quaint. They offer bagels, all day breakfast and lunch options. I don't care too much for the small size of the ordering counter. Once you order you have to stand on the wall and there isn't much waiting space. This place gets very crowded in the morning and the line extends back to the seating area. I love that they offer a seating area! That's the problem I have with most delis on Long Island. Sometimes it's nice to just sit inside and enjoy the moment instead of getting your food and rushing home. I feel a lotta shops on LI neglect this unlike NYC patrons who have this convenience. The workers here are all very nice and attentive. I was a bit taken aback when the woman asked how I wanted the sandwich made and the type of roll I wanted. Most delis you order a SEC and they give u whatever the heck they please. And now to the best part the FOOD! Delicious! The quality of their breads are fantastic. Kind of undecided about this place still. 1st time the bacon egg and cheeses were delicious. We were relieved to had found an alternative to a place we've been going for years where service and quality has declined. 4 stars easily... 2nd time (today) once again the sandwiches were great until a strand of long blonde hair flossed my fiancés teeth on the third bite (she is not a blonde)...obviously this through a wrench into breakfast. Convinced her it was a one off and to shrug it off an keep eating....another bite, another donation from Rapunzel. This obviously was the end of that sandwich which still had a whole other half left. Through my appetite for a loop and I didn't want to finish mine either. I get it. This happens, but it shouldn't. There are a good number of clean tables to choose from if you decide to eat in, and they offer a wide range of menu options, including some breakfast specials. Ordered a lox bagel, a true error to order from these people. The woman at the register (fairly old, blond, wrinkles), maybe the owner, came with a bite and attitude when I brought up that there must have been a mistake in the order. We placed an order of 2 lox Bagels, we received 1 bagel uncut, untouched, and a second bagel with only salmon. We understand what the definition of "lox" is, but we also know what it means when you ask for a lox sandwich; capers, onion, cream cheese, the whole sandwich. I brought this to her attention, saying there must have been a mistake, which there was. Obviously the order was lost in translation.. That is not the problem, I understand this can happen. Instead of explaining that they don't make Lox Sandwiches and that they literally mean just salmon only, this woman bit down hard and decided explain to me that, I was wrong to assume they would make me a lox sandwich when I ordered a lox sandwich. She continued on saying "This isn't Brighton Beach, or some 'Jewish' town where they serve lox with capers" very condescendingly. She said things here on Long Island are different... I'm from here, I know how "things are like" and I know what a lox order is and what it means in any other bagel shop in the same town. Final product, a slapped together cheap recreation of what a lox sandwich is supposed to look like. There are 12 other bagel shops within 5 minutes of these guys. Wasn't expecting much as it looks like a small "Hole-in-the-wall" from the parking lot. You get inside and there is a lot of dated Formica. Looks dated but but I betting your not here for ambiance. But hold on cause here comes the good stuff... I ordered a Whole Wheat bagel with light Cream Cheese and bacon. I would saw this was done pretty expertly. Some place when you ask for light cream cheese they literally put a paper thin film on your bagel. Other places think "light" means just under a cup per bagel. This was about 2 tablespoons which is a nice layer and prevents the cheese from being lost and the bagel from being overwhelmed. They topped it with 2-3 strips of bacon (two would suffice, but three is nice). It's not super crispy which I like on a sandwich but it was good 'nuf. The part I was most surprised by is how filling it was. I ate that one bagel and was held over until lunch time, four and half hours later. The bagels are big and fluffy. No so crispy on the outside more pillow-y but still tasty. I'll certainly give them another go and may be try a hot sandwich that I see positively reviewed by others. I am very disappointed with the way they handle issues. I waited 15-20 minutes for my order and went home with my food. I ordered whole wheat toast with mashed avocado with eggs over medium on top. When i got home, the bread was not toasted, the avocado was brown( not sure why they would give a customer bruised avocado like that), and the eggs were fried and sloppily thrown to the side (not on my sandwich). I called them to let them know that i was dissatisfied and that i cant eat that (as its disgusting and not made correctly) the gentleman asked if i wanted to pick up a new one but i declined as i didnt want to waste more time going back and forth. He said "ok then" so i responded "so i just wasted my money on it then? Because now i have to make my own breakfast when i just bought breakfast from you". His response was "i guess so" with a laugh and hung up. I have previously gone here plenty of time as it was my go to breakfast spot but after this situation i am very turned off. This place is good. Makes good sandwiches but has me screaming that they don't take off their gloves when they touch money. Then they take the next customer with the same gloves and make your bagels. It was a leg day at the gym. I ate light the night before so I was ravenous, I needed food fast. "Best Bagels Around" is in the same shopping center as my gym, so I was about to put there claim to the test (well minus the bagel). When I got there I saw lots of people going in, that's always a good sign. I could smell the bagels and I loved it. The business almost reminds me of a Dunkin Donuts, but with more bagel and deli meats. The staff working behind the counter moved fast and greeted everyone that walked in. When it was my turn the gentleman asked what I wanted I told him and he said he would toss in a extra egg, nice! Again I will emphasize, the smell inside this deli was impressive, If I could bottle up the scent and release it in my house I would. When I got my tray and sat down at the table I saw beauty. Upon eating I was pleased with how crunchy the bacon. I need to also mention, I don't know what American cheese they used, but it was the best tasting cheese I've ever eaten. The only negative is they don't put enough on it. Next time I will definitely ask for extra. I've been going to my gym for years and never went in this place. It's a mistake that won't happen again.
