    Hookah selection

This is your go to spot for middle eastern and Armenian goods. One thing that sets Fresno deli apart from the rest is all the sundries they carry in addition to the food. You can find serving dishes, jazveh for coffee, armenian grills, and hookahs in addition to ready made foods and ingredients for all kinds middle eastern cooking. They also have a menu if you'd like to order specialty items. Certain items turn over faster but others need to be rotated more often. Check labels for freshness. Great place to get deli meats like basturma, cheese and olive assortments, zaatar, and coffee. Check them out

Masks required to go in. There is lots of good stuff! I ended up ordering the Baba Ganoush (eggplant) veggie sandwich and asked if I could pay extra and add turkey. That wasn't a problem at all. It's clean and safe! The older lady that took my order was nice and talked about how they do not put mayo or mustard on it because it "needs to be the best!" =) She made up the sandwich and wished me a good lunch. That is in the back "deli section." It is a store. All kinds of different foods! You go up to the register and pay and the lady there was very kind too and wished me a good day! =) The veggie turkey sandwich was wow, deliciousness! Fresh and tasty! A lot of great flavor! It's large too! Half was enough. Leftovers! Great service and delicious food! Highly recommended!

I was on my way to Sam's Deli when I realized they're closed on Mondays. So I checked Yelp and Fresno Deli was nearby - figured I'd give it a go. If you're looking for Middle Eastern imports, this is the spot. They have a huge selection of everything from teas to drinks to kitchen staples. The deli counter at the back has a really simple menu and lots of freshly made deli items. Sandwiches are all around $5. I ordered a chicken sandwich, torn up white chicken on panini bread with tons of rich garlic sauce and some pickles. (I usually hate pickles, but these ones worked for me.) My husband got a deli salami sandwich, which came on pita with the usual deli ingredients (tomatoes, lettuce, mustard, etc). The tomatoes in particular were super fresh and delicious. We also got some other bits to share - including some pita chips from the shelf and hummus (solid), baba ganoush (super smoky and delicious), and wrapped vine leaves (good and tangy) from the deli. The deli was also super stocked with different cheeses (including huge blocks of feta), tons of olives, and tray desserts. The sandwiches took a few minutes to prepare so we had a wander around the store while we waited. There's just one table to sit at, most people take their food to go. The staff were very friendly, too. I imagine this is a haven for immigrants looking for treats from home. I'll definitely be back.

From this store I bought chocolate sandwich biscuits made in Holland, hazelnut cream wafers from Italy , Persian sweets ( zoolbia and bahmia), falafel mix and mixed nuts from Lebanon, Sahlab( coconut vanilla drink mix ) from Syria , Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka, a can of mackerel from Latvia , tea glasses made in Jordan. My point - you can find goodies from around the world in one place. In my humble opinion, they carry more variety than the World Market.

Under the circumstances that most ethnic stores aren't that great with organization and making their store look appealing, Fresno Deli would fall into the category for one of the most organized Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Rusian markets around Fresno, they also happen to be a deli that sells fresh food and also sells Halal beef, chicken and lamb, and yes they are credit card, debit card and cash friendly The selection of goods is quite extensive, they sell fresh and frozen meats, can and jar goods, fresh vegetables, fresh cheese, some prepared food, hookah or shisha essentials, fresh lavash and pita bread, and so much more. Its quite the complete store for everything from the region I mentioned. They even sell pots, glasses, pans and even bar of soaps from the middle east. The store is pretty big, and in my opinion the most organized compared to its other competition - probably not to the american standard, but for an ethnic groceries its pretty nicely done. There is plenty of parking here, both credit card and debit card is accepted here and of course the good old cash. Prices here is quite affordable and nothing is too pricey. I normally spend anywhere from $10-20 here for a lot of things. If you need something specific I would give them a call first, just to check before coming. The store clerk in nice, but the Armenian kinda hostile nice- sort of weird in my opinion, where they don't look at you or greet you as you enter, but they aren't rude or anything, Im guessing its their cultural norm to do that, so I just of along with it, all Im saying is that aren't the chirpy and bubbly american style of service. However, if you need anything, they will be helpful to locate it.

Like, these people actually appreciate their customers. You can tell they do because the store is clean and organized. This was a very nice market with lots of veggies, specialty frozen foods and imported packaged foods. There is also hot food in the back if you need a bite to eat.
