This will be my very last visit to this place. For having a boy and only renting a tux..horrible customer service and if the ladies can't read a tape they shouldn't be measuring anything people are purchasing. I asked many questions after they gave us something totally opposite from what we purchased..on top of me finding out by me calling them..not the other way around..that the tux had arrived. No phone call, no message,no email..just crickets. He is a 32 pants and they gave him a 40...his jacket was a 38 he is 15. Ending up leaving with a tux that we didn't purchase and when they took the pants to alter..nobody even measured him...im sure you don't care because your making a racket off of pimping out young girls on instagram and your major money doesn't come from tuxes or suits..but when your running a business this way and acting so nonchalant and pawning some crap suit on to paying customers..well ya just lost one..sure its not gonna break ya but maybe this will turn folks a different way when purchasing for their boys.. read more

This place is beyond words. I currently live in the Dallas area but my parents live near Alton. I flew in for a family event and ended up stopping in to Frew's. I have been dress shopping with friends all over the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex and are very aware of their selection - Frew's is almost identical!! I found a bridal gown within an hour and a half! Carol was my consultant and she is such a blast! I would highly recommend this from any bride. read more

I had my first fitting of my wedding dress this week. The alterations department was as friendly and helpful as the sales associate who helped me when I purchased my dress. They made sure I was 100% happy with how the dress looked once it was pinned, helped me put my shoes on and my hair up so I could get my veil on, and just made me feel comfortable and important. They screwed up my wife's dress 3 times, ordered the wrong jewelry for her and couldn't get the correct jewelry, and got the wrong suits for my father and father-in-law. If you are getting married check out other places. read more

As the mother of the bride....I recommend going somewhere is if you want this experience to be personal and a great memory for you and your daughter! They are very unorganized. Charge way too much and also alterations after you drop a grand +!! Go elsewhere !! Where you are not another dollar sign to them!! read more

I don't normally write reviews especially if they're negative, but I think it's necessary for people to read, since most people that shop here are getting their wedding dress... I do absolutely love my dress and how it fits etc. and the people that work here aren't rude, but wow are they disorganized! I was in here numerous times...two of the times they had my wedding date wrong..like hello??? Shouldn't that be the most important thing ?? Also when I would call to check on my status of my veil being ordered they could not tell me if it was ordered or not... that should be a yes or no answer... and again, when I was getting fitted she wanted to schedule my second fitting for two weeks after my wedding would take place...lastly, I looked forward to my fitting and it was a special day for me...however it was complete chaos...I felt like everyone was being herded like cattle ...no personal touch whatsoever...we were all just a number. So that being said, Frews is a beautiful place and a lot of dresses to choose from, but if I had to do it over I would rather travel 2 hours away for better customer service, more organization, and it being more personal!! Because this is something you've been looking forward to your whole life.. it wasn't enjoyable for me because it was such a cluster everytime I went in there. read more

Super awkward appointment. I would not recommend this place to anyone to be honest. My appointment started with a glass of champagne BUT you have two minutes to finish your glass and you can't take it with you. So drink fast. Then they take you to look at dresses. If this is your first time don't expect any guidance. My consultant was being trained by another consultant. He senior consultant wouldn't let the trainee talk and and kept disregarding what see was saying to TRY and help me. And THHHEEEN I had BOTH of them in the dressing room with me. SUPER WIERD. They already made me feel uncomfortable and now I'm supposed to undress in front of BOtH of them. No. And THEN I told them, "I want white or very light ivory" they pulled me EVERY champagne colored dress in the damn store. And kept say well you can order it in white this is just what's in fashion right now. Okay I get that but I want to see what a dress is gonna look like before I order it. They let me try on about 5 dresses before rushing me out the door. Because after the 5th dress I was like "get me the hell out of here" they could tell I wasn't going to buy that day and totally stopped caring about me. Which is disappointing because I found a few dresses that I actually liked and was considering. OH ALSO I took my mom and sister with me and had to ask for PRIVACY every time I wanted to talk to them because these people were breathing down my neck. Just don't go. read more

The only reason I am giving this place any stars is because of how great their selection is. I would never actually purchase a dress here but would go back to find a dress because the selection was so great and buy it from someone else. I set up an appointment to find a dress and when I arrived it took them ten minutes to help me at the service desk. The entire time the woman at the desk stared at her computer screen. They told me to print of pictures of their online selection of what I wanted to try. She looked through my pictures and told me they had them and I could walk around the store and pull what I wanted to try on. She didn't help me find them or point me in the right direction. My sister started helping me pull dresses and carry them to the fitting room and got yelled at her about not carrying the dresses. She never told us that when we find a dress, to pull it out and turn it on the rack and wait for her to come by and carry to the fitting room. When I got to the fitting room and my consultant disappeared. We waited around 10 minutes and she never showed up so my sister helped me get into the dress. Then she yelled at us for trying them on without her help. I tried on many dresses and she told me that she didn't think it was a good idea for me to try so many. And she was taking time away from my appointment by spending so much time putting them back. She proceeded to complain about her job and by the time we left there store, she was no where in sight. If I had wanted to buy something, I wouldn't have been able to. Since I have went to other stores and this was the worse experience I had. read more

I seriously wish I could give zero starts. My mom, two sisters, my Mamaw, and step dad came with me to Frew's to try and find my wedding dress. We drove 4 hours. When I got there I was treated wonderfully, the lady helping me was super nice, and I even found my wedding dress! I got all "jacked" up with my dress and my mom said she wanted to order everything, the dress and all the accessories that I had on. We paid the deposit to get the dress ordered. When we got there three weeks ago to get my dress, at first they couldn't find my dress and then finally found it after sending three people to look for it. Then they couldn't find the accessories. Found out that even though the girl who had helped me showed us she ordered them, she never did. After an hour of waiting for them to find everything the manager came to help us and was absolutely rude and kept saying that we "didn't communicate fully with our sales associate the first time" like it was our fault she didn't understand "We want to buy it all". Went to try on my dress to make sure it fit correctly, the manager barely tied the dress and rushed us to get it all. If it's not your first time there they treat you terribly. Then, I had my first alterations fitting this week and found out they did my measurements wrong and my dress is 2 1/2 sizes too big. So now I'll be spending just as much in alterations as I did in buying the dress. Just make sure you check everything at least three times. The only positive experience I had was my mom bought me a beautiful dress. I seriously cannot wait to get the rest of my accessories in the mail so I can finally be done with this awful place. read more

I went to Frew's Bridal in desperation due to some negative experiences while "Shopping Around" for alteration shops. I originally purchased my wedding gown online through Best Bridal Prices\Frew's Bridal after trying the dress on within a local store. Frew's Bridal convinced me that 3.5 weeks would be plenty of time to complete my alterations (dress was approximately 3-4 times to large on top, needed some taken in around the hips and waist, hemmed, and bustled} mainly because they claimed to be completely booked until then. Although my dress was finished 2 days before my October 30th, 2015 wedding, last minute alterations were completed while I was there picking the dress up. I was a bit disappointed and uncomfortable with the way the dress seemed to "pooch" at the zipper where additional fabric should have been removed. I give Frew's Bridal great credit in their kindness and support, being that this was not an easy fix. However, I would heed in any decision to use their suggested timeline. Rather go VERY early and plan for mistakes (wherever you choose to alter your dress). I would shop here again due to their vast variety of special occasion dresses. read more

What can I say. They sell some beautiful dresses but their construction, follow-up and professionalism leaves much to be desired. My dress and my bridesmaids all ordered dresses from here. We found out very quickly that once they sell you the dress and take your money they treat you like you are an inconvenience and a bother to them. One of my bridesmaids tried on a size 2 dress at their shop and it fit perfect. When it came in and she tried it on it was ordered in a size 0 and didn't fit at all. We asked why it wasn't sized correctly and the lady said thats why we have a seamstress here. They said that their girls that measure are not seamstress. Then why are they letting them measure me for a dress that i paid them $1500 for. They didn't want to fix their mistake, they just wanted me to pay more money for alterations. One of my other girls dress was order over 6 inches to long and her whole top of the dress separated shortly after the ceremony. Again we asked why it wasn't ordered the right length and we asked them to fix their mistake. They said they would fix it but it would be at my expense. My other bridesmaids who weighs 120lbs was measured and her dress came in as a size 14! We couldn't believe it. If you are looking for a great company that employs good honest people that stand behind their products and services DON'T GO HERE! I insure you will be greatly DISAPPOINTED like i was. They want your money but thats it. This is the first review i have ever made online because i usually don't have time to right reviews. But this time myself and my bridesmaids were so disappointed in their workmanship, craftsmanship, and professionalism that i made it a point to sit down and write a review.
