I was more than pleasantly surprised. I had a black tie wedding to attend and walked in. All employees were eager to help and answered my questions. They did not try to upsell. They listened to what kind of style I wanted and pointed to several options. I returned a couple of days before pick up to try on my actual tux and as you sometimes get, something was off. But the employee pointed it out and had it fixed on pick up day . . . on which the service was equally good. Drop off was a breeze. Will definitely be back and refer business. read more

My boyfriend needed a suit for a wedding that we were going to, and I suggested that he rent one rather than buy it because 1) he's in the process of dropping weight, and 2) its not like he's going to use it again anytime soon. I automatically thought "Men's Wearhouse", but I'm glad I did some research and ended up going to Friar Tux instead. Douglas G. was a huge help - he patiently assisted us throughout the whole process, even as I changed my mind every two minutes. It was about the same price to rent a tux as a suit, and he recommended that we get a tux instead because it looked sharper and more put together for a wedding. I didn't want my boyfriend to be overdressed, but hey, the guy's got a point. And besides, overdressed is better than underdressed right? For $135, we were able to get a Calvin Klein tux, shoes, socks, vest, and shirt. He even threw in a pocket square. Not bad, although being the cheapskate than I am, I did balk a little at the price. I liked that the associate wasn't pushy at all, and was speedy and efficient. We were done with the selection and fitting within 20-30 minutes, which is a feat, considering it took me weeks to buy my dress. And I'm not even a bridesmaid, only a guest. Haha read more

My fiancé and I visited the shop a couple of months ago to inquire about tuxedo rentals for our wedding. We were assisted by Juan who appeared to be efficient and professional. He answered all of our questions and took my fiancé's measurements to keep on record when we were ready to proceed with making our orders. My fiancé and I visited the shop a week ago to continue to process of ordering since we were happy with our initial visit and specifically wanted to work with Juan because of how he helped us the first time around. Unfortunately, all of our information was missing or lost and we could not be found in the system. We were disappointed that we had fill out our information again. Juan did not appear as friendly as the initial visit, did not take my fiancé's full measurements and appeared distracted by his own reflection in the mirror. Another salesperson tried to help us when he saw Juan juggling us and other customers but Juan dismissed the coworker and had us continue to wait for him while he worked with other customers. My fiancé and I were disappointed but thought that maybe he was just having a busy day since it's prom season so we scheduled a fitting for a week later. My fiancé was scheduled to try on two tuxedos with accessories that Juan had assured us he had ordered and would be ready by our appointment. When we came in today at 11:30am for our scheduled appointment, another salesperson informed us that she could not find us in the system (yet again). Juan informed us that he would look in the back to see if he could find our order (as if he had ordered it but most likely never did place our order). He returned 5 minutes later, asking when we had placed are order, if he had taken measurements and if we had talked to another salesperson. When we told him that he was the only person we had talked to and that he had previously lost our information and measurements, he appeared unfazed. He again asked if we had worked with anyone else cause our order wasn't in and would have to schedule another appointment. Both my fiancé and I informed him that we were highly disappointed. Again, he appeared annoyed and said "whatever". When we asked to speak to a manager, he told us he was the manager. When we asked to speak to his supervisor, he informed us that they were not available and would give them a message to call us the next day. When we asked for the name and direct number, he told us that he couldn't give us a name because he didn't know who would call and repeated that he would give his supervisor the message with an attitude. My fiancé and I were appalled at how disrespectful and unapologetic he was for his lack of customer service and not taking responsibility for his actions. We called the corporate office and left a meesage with regards to our experience. We are hoping that we are able speak to someone so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Due to our experience with Juan, the shop lost out on our business. read more
