me and mother were harassed by the manager. Even while wearing mask the manger followed up around the store told us to shop online and told us he would call security all after we told him we were just looking and didn't need help. We had our mask up the whole time and still he yelled saying mine wasn't correct. I just wanted to say, Thank you Yorgy! I was planning to try on and purchase 1461 Mono Smooth Leather Oxford shoes. So yesterday, I decided to go to the Dr. Martens Store at this Glendale location. But before going to the store, I was a little bit concerned with all of the negative reviews on Yelp, so I had no expectation about their customer service at first. I visited around 11:30am and it was not too busy at the time. When I got to the store, employees welcomed and greeted me just like other retail stores. An employee named Yorgy, helped me with my purchase. I have asked at least 4 different type of shoes, including 1461 Mono shoes I intended to purchase. She was kind enough to bring out all of the shoes for me to try on, and she kindly helped me figure out what shoe size works best for me. The conversation and interaction with Yorgy were really great. I felt very comfortable asking her questions about the shoes, and asking for help. Yorgy provided me with an excellent customer service which exceeded my expectation about their store and its service. That's why I am writing this review to appreciate Yorgy's help again and to give everyone my insights on this store at Glendale. I will definitely go back to this store if I want to purchase different pair of Dr.Martens shoes. read more

Friendly and helpful customer service. I was able to visit the store during non peak hours and left a happy owner of some Made in England eight eye boots. Their stock was on point and suggestions during fitting very helpful. The staff were genuine proponents of the product they sell. I love my boots. read more

If I could give this store no stars I would. I came on Black Friday to return a pair of shoes that did not fit. I called prior to driving 45 mins to ask if I couldn't find my receipt if they would be able to look it up in their system with either my CC info or whatever would be needed. As I'm waiting in line a worker comes up to me and asks if I have the receipt. I explained what happened and that I called and he IMMEDIATELY shut me down. He said they have no access to any past info and that I couldn't have spoken to anyone here even after showing the store number on call log, he told me the only thing we could do was exchange. A girl covered his position at the door and as we approached the front of the line she asked if we were doing a return and I said I was trying to but the guy that just went inside said he couldn't look up our info. The lady said to speak with the manager and he'd be able to do it for us. We walk to the cashier and the same guy approaches us and tells me did I change my mind about exchanging. I said no the lady said I could speak with the manager and he'd be able to help me. He immediately shut me down again saying he was the manager and he couldn't do it for me. How does everyone in the store have the same information expect for him?! I ended up leaving not exchanging and called the store in Culver City and explained everything and they were more than happy and willing to print my receipt from THEIR system and return the shoes for me. They made the process so easy for me. The manager at Glendale was so rude and lazy that I had to drive 1 hour away just for someone to help me! That manager is horrible, worse experience ever! All of the reviews are complaining about the same manager and I don't blame them! read more

I love Dr. Martens products but the customer service at this store was extremely lackluster. The staff honestly could have provided better service, the overall buying experience was uncomfortable. To top I off it wasn't even extremely busy in the store due to the limited amount of people allowed due to Covid restrictions . So I had just gotten a brand new pair of dr. Martins for my birthday. When I opened the box I realized they were the wrong size the next day which is today I came to this store so I can exchange the size. When I showed them the shoes the manager immediately accused me of wearing them. How could I wear shoes that don't even fit me. The manager Damian was going back and further with me just accusing me . I felt really disrespected as a customer and attacked as well . He went to the back to the back to see if he has them but less then 10 secs. He comes back and says we don't have your size. He didn't even check . He went ahead called a different store in the back to check if they had them. Why could he do it in front of me to verify ? He probably told them I had worn them . Which I have not ! After he was trying to give me ADVICE into next time clean the boots . Like I said I NEVER WORN THEM . I guess the little dust was consider worn . The have been in the box . The whole time.
