La Conner Marina is a great place for boaters and visitors…read more The marina features extensive covered moorage on 8 docks, two large guest docks, clean and comfortable restrooms, large laundry facility, two pumpout machines (one on each guest dock) and expensive outdoor/lawn/picnic space. Most of the slips feature finger piers on both sides of the boat, making this a very desirable location for covered moorage. As such, expect a long waitlist that could have you waiting for two or three years. Plenty of parking even when they host large events like the 4th of July celebration. Staff is friendly, courteous and very responsive to inquiries and issues. I haven't reviewed the RV park, as I haven't stayed there, but as a casual observer, the park is clean, reasonably lit without being too bright, close to the restrooms and laundry, and a short walk from town.

The first weekend was last summer, and the second one was this past weekend when we "glamped" there to once again meet up with friends who were docked at the marina for the weekend. The RV park is definitely no frills. The sites are close together, the trees are few and far between, and the sites don't include picnic tables or firepits. But they are all full-hookup, the park is well maintained and quiet, and you can't beat the sweet streets of downtown La Conner being just a quick walk (or even quicker drive) down the street. There's also a bathhouse with toilets and showers, all of which were immaculately clean. (You can get the door code from the campground host at RV Site #1.)

Being treated to Chuckanut Manor is starting to be a tradition for me. This is my second time to…read morethis wonderful place. The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.

The food we tried today tasted good and hit the spot!…read more I ordered the Alaskan Halibut Fish & Chips that came with a side of toasted cumin coleslaw. It was delicious, but for the smaller portions of fish, I felt it was a bit overpriced compared to other fish and chips I've had for cheaper and with larger portions of fish. My friend ordered the Ground Chuck Cheeseburger with Bacon and Fries. It was juicy and a filling choice. The main draw of this restaurant is definitely the amazing views that almost everyone reviewing this restaurant mentions. Plus, the fact that there really aren't a lot of restaurants to choose from in this area. I think the next time I dine here I would try to time it during their Happy Hour or Brunch, which they claim is "the best".

They have 5G WiFi, if you don't abuse it. Buildings were fantastic, showers, laundry facilities were well kept and some of best we have found. In fact, one semi-broken hand held shower head in each of the women's and men's showers were replaced while we were there. Whole park is surrounded by a large forest of old tall trees, private, secure from highway. All the perm residents have sewers but not for the drive by folks. Perm folks stopped by after a week to introduce themselves and offer to show us around. Sundays have an ice- cream social at the clubhouse when not in COVID mode. A great little community that we were blessed to visit with. What needs to change/Other issues: Honey pot service weekly or twice weekly needs to be considered and voted in. Our neighbors hooked up their 30W 5th wheel to our sites electric post for 5 days, and we got the electric charge, (Monthly rate includes electric bill), Staff never checked or had them rebook. All sites are on a small gravel bed, perm sites have some poured concrete patios, but pure rocks make it hard to enjoy sitting outside the RV and enjoy the sunset. There is a car wash on site that is great. Folks there were most kind and helpful, and we will definItely seek to stay there when returning to area. Gorgeous park, wonderful ride/drive to nearby cities, very close to a farmers market for fresh produce and necessities. Near enough Port Townsend to make a daily run if needed.... we did for Groceries, gas or other odds and ends. Close to multiple lakes. Just "wowed" by the beautiful area Around. SkP did this one right, with a very few changes it would approach perfect. Wife approved post.

The office exuded warmth and comfort, complete with a coffee machine and a bowl of candy for guests. Staff members were frequently seen navigating the park in a convenient golf cart, ensuring everything ran smoothly for visitors. The park itself offers a variety of recreational spaces, including a large downhill field with a small podium at the base, as well as a nearby expansive field and a pickleball court. Guests can enjoy a seating area at the top of the hill and there is a nearby shack that provides firewood and propane for convenience. Some of the park's sites include cozy cabins, each furnished with a comfortable chair, desk, and a generous king-size bed, along with a window offering views of the RV area. Every campsite features a personal fire pit and picnic table, ideal for relaxing outdoors.Overall, this RV park combines friendly service, comfortable accommodations, and well-maintained recreational areas. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant and welcoming environment for their stay.

A bit later I was able to get a sneak peek at the hot water heaters and they were turned all the way down to the lowest possible temperature setting. This maybe fine during the summer but it is now headed into winter and the park refuses to provide hot shower water in the community restroom. Other than the cold shower water, the park is very clean and well maintained.
