When I heard about the Valentine's Special Pleasant Ridge was offering in February, I decided it was the perfect time to try out this new Bed & Breakfast and surprise my husband with a weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were nothing but impressed. We drove up at dusk, and the glowing windows were the perfect welcome. Theresa and Mike's warm hospitality made us feel at ease immediately as we registered, received the tour of their cozy home, and settled into the Grand Room. The furnishings were nothing short of luxurious, and the provided amenities left us wanting for nothing. High quality soap and fragrant bath salts allowed us to enjoy the jacuzzi bathtub in pure relaxation, and the gorgeous bouquet of roses and lilies that were part of the Valentine Special added a memorable touch of elegance to our room. The delicious aroma of breakfast wafted into our room in the morning, and we enjoyed Theresa's wonderful cooking as Mike handcrafted cappuccinos for us. With coffee in hand, I stepped onto the back deck to enjoy the misty morning view of their country property, accompanied by birdsong. We honestly wished we had booked another night so we could stay there all day. The outdoor spaces and the armchair on the landing by the coffee bar upstairs were both appealing spots to spend an hour or three in relaxation. We stayed at Pleasant Ridge B&B during April for the Tulip festival and to relax, see some sites, as our first getaway from raising four young kids the past ten years. It was our second B&B experience and although our first B&B was a good, it was a while ago for our honeymoon, this was better than our first, as this was higher quality and better than we expected. The property is beautiful, we picked the grand room, very cozy, elegant, all the amenities, a private deck balcony with a view of the rolling hills through the french doors. The room has a smart TV, tub with jets, shower, we liked the place and felt so at home one day we just came back and took naps instead of seeing more sites. The price is an amazing deal for all the perks and quality and friendliness of the owners Mike and Theresa. Breakfast every day was a feast, very high quality fresh food, much of it locally produced, organic. We weren't expecting much more than a nice room and a small breakfast and we left feeling well rested, well fed, comfortable and overall amazed by this B&B. A wonderful colleague of mine recommended me as the photographer for the web photo shoot for this lovely Skagit Valley getaway. During the process, my husband and I had the privilege of touring the entire establishment and gave us the opportunity to get to know the owners who make Pleasant Ridge Bed and Breakfast the unique and serene place that it is. From little nic-nacs to special treats and an adorable goat mascot, everything about this B&B is inviting, full of character, and fun to be around. Every room is pristine, has it's own unique personality, and is fully equipped with all the travel comforts you may or may not have remembered to pack on your own. We recommend this establishments to all of our friends and plan on staying here ourselves when we need a little stay-cation. Especially for the wine and scones! If you're looking for the full Skagit experience set just off the beaten path, this is the place for you! My wife and recently spent 5 nights at Pleasant Ridge for our anniversary and felt right at home. The setting was incredibly peaceful with quiet country roads to walk down and explore, our bed room was extremely comfortable and we never felt "without". This B&B is located just 6 minutes or so away from La Conner using a less traveled back road which made it convenient to journey into La Conner for dinner each evening. The owners, Mike and Theresa are very accommodating; Theresa knocks breakfast out of the park and it was fun to have them join us and the other guest every breakfast for conversation. They both are a delight and real "salt of the earth" people. This B&B was very unique over others we have experienced. We will definitely stay with Pleasant Ridge the next time we return to WA and highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking to visit the La Conner/Skagit Valley. read more

My Husband and I spent 5 nights at the Bed and Breakfast for our third wedding anniversary. It was so close to everything we wanted! 8 minutes from La Conner where there are some great restaurants and shops, and 15 minutes from the Roozengaarde tulip's, and close to the scenic Chuckanut Drive. Mike and Theresa are awesome hosts! The breakfast was delicious every morning - freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh eggs, outstanding set tables. There wasn't a detail left out. The Bed and Breakfast is warm and cozy, and the grounds are very peaceful. If you want to get away from the noise and relax, but still be close to town - make your reservation! I took my wife to Pleasant Ridge for our 15th anniversary and was blown away by the quality, service, and atmosphere. Mike and Theresa were the perfect hosts. Very friendly and accommodating, attending to whatever we needed. Theresa arranged for in-room amenities that made our stay even more romantic. The grounds are gorgeous with a nice view, places to walk and sit and enjoy the birds and other wildlife. Deer would come join us in the evening and steal from the bird feeders. Breakfast was amazing -- gourmet style and enough food to last the rest of the day. I highly recommend Pleasant Ridge for anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. read more

What a wonderful experience, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are all unique and comfortable as is the whole house. Fun feeding and seeing all the animals, especially the baby lamb. Mike & Theresa are wonderful hosts, making you feel completely at home. The property is beautiful and the animals are so fun to watch- goats, sheep, alpacas, chickens, fish, and even a new baby lamb. The rooms are clean and beds are super cozy.
