We love it here. The staff is fabulous...so friendly and accommodating. They truly strive to make you feel like family. The food is also fabulous. There are multiple "little touches" you don't find often that we appreciate every time...the gas fire pits outside steps away from the bar & restaurant where you can enjoy food/drink...the staff will even offer you blankets when it's cold out. Every floor has a convenience bar outside the elevator refreshed throughout the day with snacks & beverages. The rooms offer spacious bathrooms, large jetted tubs, a fridge and gas fireplace. The location is convenient as it's very close to the ferry (easy walk if you don't bring a car), restaurants and main drag. We are already talking about our next visit

We absolutely loved our stay here to celebrate my birthday weekend. The customer service was amazing! They went above and beyond to help us out since I brought my birthday cake with us, and they kindly offered, without us asking, to store it in their large kitchen fridge since it wouldn't necessarily fit in our tiny room fridge. That left a lasting impression on us and made our whole trip. One of the concierge members then took it upon herself to bring us one of the chef's personal knives so we could cut my birthday cake later that evening. It was a lovely and thoughtful touch for the concierge to think outside the box and go out of their way to accommodate us. I appreciated the service here so much! The views from their outside patio garden are gorgeous and peaceful, you can watch the ferry boats and water planes coming in and out of the harbor while hearing the small birds hangout. The fire pits were poppin' in the evening, and everyone was having a good time just chatting away while all retreating around 10ish for quiet hours. Everyone here was very respectful and classy. The hotel provides snacks on the third floor for both evening and morning, and at least our room had a giant hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed--we loved that they provided us with robes as well. You can't go wrong with this hotel. We loved our stay and will be back for sure. We will also hopefully try their kitchen and bar next time.

This place exceeded our expectations. The room was great, the view amazing. Our room was overlooking the marina. Super comfortable bed and nice fireplace. Large bathroom. The staff here was great. Top of their game. Sadie is a top notch mixologist, Austin took great care of us. February visit for our anniversary, so it was chilly, so they brought us thick blankets so we could sit outside by the beautiful fire pits. Oh, and fantastic meals with a view!!!! So special! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE.

We were a group of six and the servers were not ready to attend us because they were full. Eventough they had lots of tables ope. If they werent ready to attend, why were they open. I felt some discrimination as I saw some people laughing and drinking coffee. We ended going to another restaurant that had a great service.

We had such an incredible experience here! My mom and I just stopped in for a drink at sunset, but the staff was amazing. They set us up outside with a fire pit and blankets to enjoy the view. Very attentive and kind people work here. Small appetizer, salad, and entree menu, but extensive drink list. I'd love to come back in the summer!

Enjoyed delicious sandwich here today. The best view on the harbor. Loved watching the ferry come and go. Limited menu but the selections were very yummy.

    Raspberry shortcake

Crab pasta $48, so salty it was inedible. Watery sauce, overcooked macaroni. Mentioned it to waitress and she just shrugged. Strawberry shortcake was a thin piece of bread with jam and whipped cream on it. Fish sandwich was decent.

The Friday Harbor House is a small boutique hotel directly up hill in front of the harbor. It is steps from shops, restaurants & Kings Market. There is lots of free parking. There is a full service restaurant & bar in the lobby serving breakfast & dinner. We checked into room 36 with the best views of the harbor. Loved the wall of windows & the small patio. The ferry horns were fabulous! Our room had a king bed, fireplace, large screen television, fridge, safe & jacuzzi for 2. Our room was very clean & comfortable. We had towels and coffee items refreshed. Morgan and the staff were wonderful, personable and helpful throughout our stay Our room was facing east and it was very warm in the morning.. We had a small portable air conditioner that made a lot of noise and didn't do much cooling. We were woken up at 5:30 AM by the noisy sound of a garbage truck outside our window.

The remarkable San Juan Islands consists of several islands. On the Pacific Northwest landscape between Washington and Canada is the main island of San Juan, there resides Friday Harbor House. This place exceeded my expectations from its views, ambience, staff, and food; it was all divine! Their red and white house wines were excellent too. I am grateful to have enjoyed my stay and definitely going back! P.s. You need to ride a ferry to transport yourself and vehicle, make reservations in advance through the wsdot website. Expect the boat ride to be about 1-hour. A nice bonus on the ferry was getting to see an Orca swimming in the water.

This is seriously my new favorite place on the San Juan's, and I've been up here a thousand times…read more Can't believe it took me this long to find Snug Harbor! This is a beautiful quaint little family run oasis on Mitchell Bay. There are hotel style rooms, and private cabins. We stayed in a private cabin on the waterfront for our anniversary this year. The cabins are stunning. Everything was super clean. You have a full kitchen and appliances should you want to cook, even equipped with a BBQ outside! There's a small living space, and the bathroom felt like a luxury spa! The shower had pebbled floorings which were so nice. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable and not to mention pitch black which was amazing for sleep! We slept with all windows open at night and slept great with the cool air and again I can't stress enough how quiet the property is. My favorite part is the windows at the front looking at the water and the little sitting nook by the kitchen. I sat there or in the chairs out front for most of our trip just admiring the water and stillness. So pretty! There's a little greenery area for sitting, play lawn games, or fire pits for smores. They also have kayaks and paddle boards for use during the day which was a nice amenity. They also have a general store and coffee shop on property with everything you might need. My favorite part is their water system that's fully treated and maintained by them. Because of it the shower water is so soft and serene, and the drinking water is amazing straight from the tap! This was a 10/10 stay from top to bottom, and we already can't wait to come back!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Snug Harbor Resort while visiting Friday Harbor…read more We reserved a one-bedroom waterfront cabin seamlessly online. Our total cost was $607.19. Check-in was done at the lobby. At the lobby one will also find a store and a coffee shop. Complimentary movies and games can also be checked out at the lobby to enjoy back at your lodging. The store offers a little bit of everything, from clothing to snacks. Complimentary ice machines are available. Bagged ice can be purchased though. Lower-level parking is limited and was completely full in the evenings. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot every time we returned from playing. Wheel barrel type carts located at the gate make transporting luggage effortless to rooms. Adirondack chairs are scattered about the edge of the property to enjoy sipping a beverage, reading or admiring the view. A fire-pit, community BBQ, picnic area and kids play area help pass the time while on-site. The paly area is at the lobby end for those who do not wish to have quarters near noise. The cabin we were given was number 10, a handicap unit. The very first cabin upon entrance and the furthest from the lobby and play area. Our cabin was clean and well equipped. Snug Harbor provided us the peace that we were seeking at the time. My one suggestion would be to offer fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby to establish a more personal touch.
