The food was incredible! I can see why even locals come here to eat. Every staff member was friendly and it seemed the staff helped one another out which is nice to see. I enjoyed the views and cozy feeling of the restaurant. Highly recommend.

This was a wonder experience. The outside deck sitting had great views and Sadie the bartender and waitress was amazing and knowledgeable! She suggested the chicken wings and she was not wrong great flavor. We had great drinks and the food specifically the burger was amazing. Great place to relax and enjoy great food and views.

A beautiful location with good food and drinks. The server was friendly but slow service.

Added another great spot to go in Friday Harbor tonight! Simply called, "The Restaurant at Friday Harbor House" is located just off the lobby of the Friday Harbor House hotel. The indoor seating area is pretty small but they have a large outdoor seating patio area for good weather. We started with an appetizer of "Crispy Brussels" and it was amazing! Perfectly roasted with perfect texture and flavor. A must have if you like Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer! Next we had main courses of pan seared black cod, served on a bed of spinach with artisan tartar sauce and a side of mashed potatoes. The fish was wonderful, paired nicely with the spinach and tartar. The mashed potatoes were excellent and a large portion. I had the Harbor House Burger which is a half pound Wagu burger topped with bacon, cheese and fresh greens on a brioche bun. I absolutely loved it, cooked to perfection as I wanted it and full of flavor! I also had the duck fat French fries and they were so good! I was so full though that I couldn't finish the fries. Our server Elsa (not sure of spelling) was amazing as well and went above and beyond for us! If you come to Friday Harbor, eat here! You won't be disappointed! I recommend reservations especially in the peak season.

Looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast? Look no further! Friday Harbor House restaurant has you covered with the best eggs Benedict you'll ever taste. Our house smoked Canadian bacon adds the perfect touch to this classic dish. And don't even get me started on our house country potatoes - they're simply the best in town! Looking to satisfy your sweet tooth you must try the Bananas Foster French Toast it will knock your socks off. The whole menu is amazing for breakfast & dinner lunch is also available in summer months also.. But it's not just about the food, it also offers a clean happy and vibrant atmosphere with a touch of professionalism. It's the perfect place to start your day. And if you're worried about getting a table, don't be! You can easily make a reservation through Resi, the popular restaurant reservation website. This way, you can guarantee your spot and avoid any long wait times. But it's not just about the food and atmosphere, the service is top-notch too. They cater to all types of guests, from families to travelers, business and events and everything in between. And during the summer, the deck offers a beautiful view of the water, complete with umbrellas to keep you cool. And don't forget to try generous mimosa for a great price! With fair prices and satisfied customers, you won't regret starting your day with a cup of fresh brewed San Juan Roastings local coffee. You will leave full and satisfied.

Wow everything was just great. Got a beautiful seat outside with a view of the harbor. Our waiter Max, was very helpful with suggestions from the menu and nice explanations of the food. The service was outstanding. The food was literally amazing. The chef's unique style came through in every dish. The depth of flavor of our soup, the amazing mix of smoke, sweet and spicy of our carrot and even the burger was tasty and the French fries were out of this world. They also had some amazing cocktails but we didn't try this time. Definitely coming back.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Friday Harbor House. We started out with cocktails and delicious mussels. My drink was some sort of elderberry vodka champagne concoction that was refreshing and herbal. We share the scallop chowder and a beet salad for dinner. The chowder was smokey and rich. A full bowl would be a meal in itself. The salad was equally good, and the salmon was so much more flavorful than the farm raised stuff we get in California. To top it off, we had a yummy brownie sundae for dessert. The service is so friendly and professional at the same time. The view from the deck is wonderful. It gets a bit chilly at Dinnertime with the breeze, so dress warm.

I started with the field greens salad with pesto avocado almonds and grapefruit. My main course was the braised beef over homemade pasta with spring onions fennel tomato sauce wine and paired with the local Washington Syrah. My husband ordered a Cesar with the ribeye steak. The brownie with chocolate espresso and vanilla ice cream was a wow. Portions were generous, it was a lot of delicious food. The view is spectacular we sat on the terrace overlooking the marina & ferry terminal. Service was perfect our waitress was efficient, friendly and attentive. The menu was diverse & everything looked interesting. At 7:30 fire pits went on, it began to get chilly. The eagles flew over head & the boats came & went. Just idyllic, the most perfect location on the island!

Will be back for the burger. So delicious

Our party of three visited for lunch at noon on a Thursday. Since we had a reservation, we were seated immediately at a lovely table right by the window. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were incredibly courteous and friendly throughout our meal. We initially thought about starting with some small plates, but we were so eager for seafood that we jumped straight into the entrees. We weren't disappointed: Bouillabaisse: This was our first time trying this dish, and it was the highlight for us. It was incredibly flavorful--exactly what we were craving. Spicy Prawn Mac and Cheese: It definitely lived up to its name! It wasn't "blow-your-head-off" hot, but it had a perfect, noticeable kick that really elevated the dish. Blackened Cod Tacos: These were fantastic. The cod was perfectly prepared and worked so well with the rest of the taco ingredients. We also enjoyed a couple of non-alcoholic drinks that hit the spot, though I'll admit that since I'm writing this a couple of weeks later, I forgot to snag photos or the specific names of the drinks! They also have a really nice patio area if you prefer dining outdoors. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for a great meal with a view, this place is a must-visit!

Unfortunately, our experience ended before we ever made it to a table. When we arrived, the hostess was on the phone. We waited patiently, but there was no acknowledgment of our presence--not even a simple "I'll be right with you." Once she finished her call, we asked for a table for four. Rather than greeting us or explaining the wait in a courteous manner, she simply shook her head and informed us there would be a 40-45 minute wait. The issue was not the wait time; it was the complete lack of hospitality. Had we been greeted warmly and treated like valued guests, we likely would have waited. Instead, we were left with the clear impression that our business was neither wanted nor appreciated. We chose to leave immediately and spent $200+ at another restaurant where we felt welcomed. While I understand that busy restaurants often have long waits, there is no excuse for poor customer service and basic discourtesy. Based on this experience, I will not return, nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

I had to catch her attention to ask for dessert. The total cost of our meal (without alcohol), was not the second issue. The two main entrees we ordered were. Two couples each split a meal because the description we were given was that it was a large portion. We and the other couple each ordered the $36 scallop and noodle meal. I can't remember the name of it but I believe it was the most expensive on the menu, maybe. I will say the restaurant was nice enough to split them ahead of time. However, our plates had the following... mine with two scallops and some noodles, my wife's with one scallop and some noodles. Our two friends received the same accordingly. The taste was wonderful but that meant a $36 entree had three scallops and not a lot of noodles; that is it. Perhaps I expect more than I should but I am not one to shy away from an expensive meal now and again. This I would expect from a high end restaurant but this is not a high end restaurant. Overall: Good tasting Poor follow up from waitress Way too much money for what you receive (especially this entree) ...doesn't matter who you are. The other items we ordered were , in my opinion, not terribly priced but somewhat still. Perhaps it is just Washington's crazies and the fact I am on an island but...???.... At this point I would give this place a 2 out of 5
