I cannot remember their name for it but it is rice, Etouffee and catfish filets. So good!

What an amazing little gem of a restaurant. If you want good Cajun/Southern food then this is the place to eat. We were enthusiastically greeted as soon as we walked in. They walked us through the option on the menu and gave us a sample of their etouffee, and we were sold. It was really good! The only thing that detract a little bit from the experience was the food was served on disposable plates, but with food this good at the prices they were charging this was just a minor observation. Any time I am back that way, I will be certain to stop in there again.

    Menu

Seafood platter- fried ok. Boil- incredible. Snow crab, shrimp, sausage, potato, corn all seasoned to perfection. Service- helpful, kind. Southern hospitality.

Crawfish and snow crab boil! DELICIOUS

Run...fly...speed, do what ya gotta do to get to Friday's! Before 7pm. That's when they close to be safe in maybe a not so safe neighborhood according to owners. ‍ Definitely a hidden gem in Waco. We've been before and it's been too long. If you love cajun food do your tastebuds a favor and delight in the PERFECTION that is Friday's! #crawfishboil #etouffee #redbeansandrice #atchafalaya #friedcatfish Sweetest people with service like you're in their home.

This place never misses a beat! Their food is also so fresh, yummy and comes out hot!! And their service has to be the friendliest around! We had the catfish and flounder Atchafalaya which was so flavorful. Wife had the shrimp & snow crab boil and had to get a side of their yummy etouffee!! Their desserts are homemade and great as well today was the pina coloda cheesecake, banana foster cake and had to get that bread pudding. If you are in the Waco area and haven't given this place a try you are missing out. You can thank me later

I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. The staff here makes you feel at home. Like you're part of the family. The restaurant feels like I just walked into Louisiana. Love the vibe here.

Wonderful people with excellent service. Great quality food and very reasonable prices.

Bayou Platter, Etouffee, Boudain Balls (not pictured: unfortunately we got too excited), Fried Pickles, Fried Crawfish and Fries.

Listen, I've been to Cajun restaurants smack dab in the middle of Acadiana that were not this good. Holy Lord Almighty!! If you live in, near, or within flight distance of Waco, get in this place!! Make sure the first thing you order is the Bayou Platter, so you get to sample all the fried Cajun pleasures this place has to offer forthwith. Then branch off from there. The Étouffée is a creamy, spicy, shrimpy, crawdaddilly amalgamation of everything that is Cajun. Everything else is fried perfectly. I have to say that I HATE oysters. Even fried oysters. But these fried oysters... ...I cried a little.

We liked the food so much that we stopped here on the way back from OK We got the fried shrimp basket and shrimp poboy the first time and got the Boom boom Shrimp starter, Atchafalaya Etoufee and, Gumbo and rounded it off with Beignets the second time on Mother's day. Food is absolutely delish. Not visiting this place should be a felony

RATING - 3.65 Cajun…read moreCraft is found just off of one of the main roads that's runs along Waco. Off its first appearance, the restaurant appears as your classic no-frills, get-what-you-asked for establishment. There is lots of outdoor seating, very fair pricing, and a surprisingly extensive menu; I doubt you'll fail to find something you enjoy here. Overall it seemed like a location that would be bumping in conjunction with Baylor college nights, post church service, or otherwise Waco-oriented affairs. My only complaint was really the smell. We came near close when some workers were cleaning, however there was an apparent chemical stench within the patio, between the inside seating and outdoor seating. My partner ordered the sausage po boy, while I ordered the fried chicken plate, wish mashed potatoes & gravy + green beans. The wait was rather long, which can be attributed towards the chicken's cook time - which might be front scratch. After we got our plates, I certainly couldn't complain. The chicken was decently sized and decadent with flavor. Consistent, strong Cajun spicing littered the tray and chicken, while its interior was extremely juicy and filled with flavor; additionally, it still maintained structure and provided a nice crunch on the surface. The mashed potatoes were equally as enjoyable. The gravy complemented the potatoes well, and established an equilibrium through texture. The green beans however, were not my favorite. They initially appeared fine on the surface, but became watered down and lacking in flavor the farther down the bowl you went. I would not be surprised if these beans were canned. I would certainly find myself eating here again. Its biggest appeals are the prices, genuine quality of food, and disposition. It is not perfect, but it is more than satisfactory. If you cannot get over the minor inconveniences that you may run into here, then you probably shouldn't be eating Cajun anyways.

With its popcorn ceilings and charming, old-school worn tables, this place is to dine for! We had the Mac Daddy and the Mac Mama--both were incredibly delicious. If you're craving some heat, the Mac Mama is definitely the way to go. If you're more in the mood for a BBQ-style flavor, the Mac Daddy won't disappoint. And don't skip dessert--the banana pudding was incredible- a must try! The service from the bar and the bartender was superb. The bartender asked how my LIT was--and let me tell you, they do not skimp on the liquor! Mira, our server, although very soft-spoken, was amazing--very attentive and truly made the experience even better. Do the drive and see us at Uncle Worm's!

The only weak spot is their mixed drinks from the bar. They aren't always consistent and non-bar pros frequently make the drinks. It has a great casual country vibe, lots of room to spread out. Excellent service!! We started with two domestic beers (Miller/Bud light) my coworker mentioned his beer tasted off. So Bailey took the time and effort to run the line to see if it helped, with it being the first pour that morning. Above and beyond work ethic it fixed it his second beer was perfect. Quick service on refills, and attentiveness. Food: So many great looking options this is a Cajun inspired bistro, for me Cajun can be hit or miss especially in Texas. So I had my reservations. I ordered a app of Boudin Balls..... those things were great, coworker agreed. I then ordered the Hangover burger.....again messy, but savory and so well cooked, edges crispy, vegetables tasted fresh. Waffle fries were good crunchy, but soft in the center. My coworker got a order of Boom Boom shrimp to go, but we had to try a piece, a solid option, sweet, crunchy with a ever so slight spice. His entree was the Cajundilla, I expected it to be meh, chicken quesadilla right?!? But, it was cooked so well, and the seasoning was what carried it. Do not hesitate to go here, I can't wait to go back, and try more of the menu, they have so many great looking options from the Po Boys to the gator tacos it all looks good! Again with excellent service to boot!!

Our server rushed us to order, even after telling her it was our first time there. My husband wanted to order another drink after his first one was incorrect, but when we asked, we were suddenly told the cut off time had passed. That's something that shouldn't have been mentioned upfront. The server lacked customer Service skills, had little knowledge about the menu, and the wait for our food was way too long. Overall, a really disappointing experience. Another thing that pissed us off is that they started turning off the TVs in our section while we were still watching the fight that wasn't over yet AND the restaurant wasn't closing for another couple of hours. We definitely will not be returning to this location.
