Food was really good and we ordered a chrysanthemum tea which is now my new addiction. Perfect Pho on a cold night!

We liked the food so much that we stopped here on the way back from OK We got the fried shrimp basket and shrimp poboy the first time and got the Boom boom Shrimp starter, Atchafalaya Etoufee and, Gumbo and rounded it off with Beignets the second time on Mother's day. Food is absolutely delish. Not visiting this place should be a felony

Off its first appearance, the restaurant appears as your classic no-frills, get-what-you-asked for establishment. There is lots of outdoor seating, very fair pricing, and a surprisingly extensive menu; I doubt you'll fail to find something you enjoy here. Overall it seemed like a location that would be bumping in conjunction with Baylor college nights, post church service, or otherwise Waco-oriented affairs. My only complaint was really the smell. We came near close when some workers were cleaning, however there was an apparent chemical stench within the patio, between the inside seating and outdoor seating. My partner ordered the sausage po boy, while I ordered the fried chicken plate, wish mashed potatoes & gravy + green beans. The wait was rather long, which can be attributed towards the chicken's cook time - which might be front scratch. After we got our plates, I certainly couldn't complain. The chicken was decently sized and decadent with flavor. Consistent, strong Cajun spicing littered the tray and chicken, while its interior was extremely juicy and filled with flavor; additionally, it still maintained structure and provided a nice crunch on the surface. The mashed potatoes were equally as enjoyable. The gravy complemented the potatoes well, and established an equilibrium through texture. The green beans however, were not my favorite. They initially appeared fine on the surface, but became watered down and lacking in flavor the farther down the bowl you went. I would not be surprised if these beans were canned. I would certainly find myself eating here again. Its biggest appeals are the prices, genuine quality of food, and disposition. It is not perfect, but it is more than satisfactory. If you cannot get over the minor inconveniences that you may run into here, then you probably shouldn't be eating Cajun anyways.

Had a dozen oysters, which were very large, nicely, chilled, and served with a nice accompaniment of red sauce, horseradish, lemon, and crackers. I then had the whole fried fish, which was a nice size portion and very tasty and came with two different kinds of beans, one of which had some tiny shrimp. Almost forgot, there were three or perhaps four grilled shrimp on top of the fish, which were delicious. French fries were good too. I was very impressed with the food at this place. My server, Adamari (on left in photo) was very welcoming, attentive, and made great recommendations! She made a very good meal even better! The young lady that brought the food to me, not pictured in the photo, was also very good at her job. I thought the prices were very reasonable. This may be the best seafood restaurant in Waco. This place had a nice atmosphere as well. Three cheers to the oyster shucker and chef.

It comes with catfish but they let you choose your fish if you want something different! It comes with 2 sides so I got fries and fried okra. The fried okra was the star of that show for me! Also, I switched out the catfish for Blue Whiting. Everything was well seasoned and delish. My husband ordered the Blue Whiting platter which was 2 whiting filets and a side. He considered getting the etouffee so while we ate she brought out a small taste of it for us to sample for next time. (And there will be a next time!) The girl at the counter (owner??) is SO STINKIN NICE! My gosh, talk about great with customers! (Cutie with fun glasses.) It's about an hours drive from where we live but we're through Waco pretty regularly so we're looking forward to our next stop at Friday's. We'll try to get by on a Friday so we can try some of their GUMBO!

Excellent service!! We started with two domestic beers (Miller/Bud light) my coworker mentioned his beer tasted off. So Bailey took the time and effort to run the line to see if it helped, with it being the first pour that morning. Above and beyond work ethic it fixed it his second beer was perfect. Quick service on refills, and attentiveness. Food: So many great looking options this is a Cajun inspired bistro, for me Cajun can be hit or miss especially in Texas. So I had my reservations. I ordered a app of Boudin Balls..... those things were great, coworker agreed. I then ordered the Hangover burger.....again messy, but savory and so well cooked, edges crispy, vegetables tasted fresh. Waffle fries were good crunchy, but soft in the center. My coworker got a order of Boom Boom shrimp to go, but we had to try a piece, a solid option, sweet, crunchy with a ever so slight spice. His entree was the Cajundilla, I expected it to be meh, chicken quesadilla right?!? But, it was cooked so well, and the seasoning was what carried it. Do not hesitate to go here, I can't wait to go back, and try more of the menu, they have so many great looking options from the Po Boys to the gator tacos it all looks good! Again with excellent service to boot!!

Our server rushed us to order, even after telling her it was our first time there. My husband wanted to order another drink after his first one was incorrect, but when we asked, we were suddenly told the cut off time had passed. That's something that shouldn't have been mentioned upfront. The server lacked customer Service skills, had little knowledge about the menu, and the wait for our food was way too long. Overall, a really disappointing experience. Another thing that pissed us off is that they started turning off the TVs in our section while we were still watching the fight that wasn't over yet AND the restaurant wasn't closing for another couple of hours. We definitely will not be returning to this location.
