Absolutely terrible service and no accountability. I hired Fridge Guys to replace the compressor in my refrigerator. The compressor itself was still under the manufacturer's warranty, yet I was charged $987.57 for labor alone. Less than two months later, the replacement compressor failed. The manufacturer honored its warranty and supplied another new compressor at no charge. However, when I contacted Fridge Guys, they demanded another $800 in labor to replace it. The most frustrating part is that they advertise a 3-month warranty on their workmanship, yet they refused to stand behind it. If a compressor fails within two months of installation, any reputable company should at least inspect the installation and honor their labor warranty instead of immediately asking for hundreds more. Paying nearly $1,000 for labor and then being asked for another $800 just two months later is unacceptable. Whether the failure was due to the compressor or the installation, the customer should not be treated as an endless source of labor charges while the company refuses to stand behind its own work. I feel completely taken advantage of. Their warranty appears to have little value when you actually need it. I cannot recommend a company that charges premium prices but refuses to stand behind its service. Buyer beware. read more

These folks seem OK, but also seem crazy expensive... My water dispenser wasn't working. In my Contact Form I noted the Ice Maker still worked fine. The technician arrived and stated the filter housing needed to be replaced; he'd seen this many times. Labor quote was $325.00 plus parts (that needed to be ordered). I approved. Before he left, I reiterated what was on the Contact Form... The Ice Maker still worked fine. That had him reverse course... That's probably a broken water line! He checked. It was a broken water line and NOT the filter housing. He didn't have the hose, so he went to Home Depot and got the hose, plus a new water filter for me. When finished, the labor was still $325.00... I paid the bill. I called the office later to verify... They charge $99.99 for a diagnostic charge that can be applied to the repair. The labor for the repair is based on the work required. Hard to believe the labor to replace 2' of water line on the back of the fridge is the same as replacing the filter housing within the fridge. read more

Adriane came out on a service call to assess my refrigerators cooling issues. He removed the upper panel reached around with his hand for 2 minutes and came to the conclusion that I had a freon leak. I asked if there were visible signs he could show me and he said no, he just knows this is the issue. Never used any gauges or meters and recommended a freon refill with a leak filler additive that he shrugged his shoulders at and said sometimes it works. I paid the $75 service fee and called a certified Kitchenaid tech via Kitchenaid customer service. The kitchenaid tech came out and thoroughly tested my fridge. He spent 30-45 minutes, hooked up his lap top, checked the electrical system with a meter, pressure tested the freon system with gauges and determined it was not a leak. I was disappointed in the service call from Adriane, who was 2 hours late by the way, and felt like I was almost ripped off for several hundred dollars of unnecessary freon refill and additive. I also did a little research and found the leak repair additive is highly discouraged and will likely cause more damage over time. I reached out to Adriane several times and asked for a $75 refund on the service call based on my experience.....I have yet to get a refund, a call back or an explanation. It's late Saturday and my 10 year old LG Refrigerator was on the fritz, again (Don't buy an LG fridge). Make a loud buzzing sound and showing an "FF" code on the front panel. I contacted LG support (online) and was told my Freezer Fan is not working and needs repair. They offered to send someone out to fix it for a flat fee of $399. Thinking I don't want to spend another dime on this thing, I decided to make some calls. That's when I got ahold of Michael. He said his techs were all out on calls but that he could come out in a couple hours. When he arrived he immediately removed the freezer door and removed all the freezer trays and within a minute or two, said the freezer fan is iced over. After unplugging the refrigerator, he then asked if I had a small fan, which he placed on the floor in front of the freezer part and said he'd come back in about 4 hours. 4 hours later he came back, put everything back together and said he'd come back the next day to check on it. The next morning he called and I told him that everything seemed to be working fine to which he said, great, I guess I don't need to come back out. I said what about your bill and he said I could pay his diagnosis fee $75 plus $25. Honestly, he could have charged me a lot more but he didn't. It's refreshing to find someone honest and knowledgeable. I'm keeping his number handy and will recommend him to anyone with a refrigerator issue. read more

This is not a post intended to do harm to an independent business. I considered, seriously, not leaving any feedback at all, but only reconsidered after a recent conversation with the owner, Michael. We hired them to do some minor work on our fridge, and when the tech arrived they were clearly sick (constant phlegmy coughing and sniffing liquid through nostrils - you know, the sound of someone still in the grips of a bad cold). Busy working in our offices during this time, we both could hear this person and their symptoms for the duration of their work. Within 24hrs (the following morning), I was already showing signs of sickness. I called Michael to tell him NOT to send this tech out on work orders because he's still contagious and Michael's responses were, "he was out on sick leave," "he told me he's not sick anymore," and "yesterday, when he came back from sick leave I didn't hear him cough." Not a great response, but forgivable, because, like I said, I just wanted that guy to be masked or not working until they were totally better. I asked if there was something Michael could offer us as a sign of good faith and he said maybe he could do something to "make us whole again; I thought that was a good gesture, considering. Michael called us about a week later to "check in" and see how we were doing - I thought that was great customer service! Except during this call, he dug his heels in on *coincidence* and now claimed his tech had seasonal allergies, and this whole thing was just bad luck. That was sunk this for me. I mean, walking back the story about sick leave and lying about something totally different? I didn't threaten to sue the guy, so I just don't get why the defensiveness and crazy-making communication. Overall, the work done was 100% quality, but I won't be doing any more business with this company (bummer cuz they're local) just based on the unproductive and unprofessional way they handled the whole thing. read more

Ok, I messed up! Quick recap, leaving for 3 days for work and wife watching the fort with our 2 dogs. Its 10 a.m. my business partner is pulling up, see baby rat scurry across floor under stove. Immediate thoughts it just came in thru open automatic sliding door or would of been hiding. I quickly move stove and lil baby rat goes behind fridge, I pull fridge away from wall no sign of rat but I know he went into the engine area of fridge. I pull fridge toward open door use broom handle in a attempt to scare lil baby rat out of engine area. Broom handle goes thru cardboard covering engine area about a foot. No rat ,gotta go rat on mind entire trip, return home wife says fridge stopped and had to move all fridge/freezer contents to fridge in garage. It Saturday night set up 3 traps and 3 glue strips around fridge and capture lil baby rat boy on glue trap. That rat chewed wires and killed my fridge right. Fill out form for Fridge guys Monday at 9 a.m. and as promised Michael calls back in about a half hour, share rat tale and he says Adrian will be out in 2 hours. Adrian calls and is on way earlier than expected and I share story with him placing blame on rat chewing wires and my broom handle story. Adrian is a super cool and kind guy who immediately notices that the hole from my broom handle has hit the relay to the compressor with perfection unplugging it slightly. Will the compressor be shorted out, please no. Will the relay be forever damaged from my well placed broom handle blast, no no please. He plugs in relay, places hands on the compressor like a doctor handling a newborn baby waiting and hoping it kicks on. Then we hear that beautiful sound as the compressor kicks on. A new compressor is $1500 with labor. Now comes the best part, Adrian calls Michael and they discuss and decide only to charge me for the $99 service fee that they charge just to come put and subtract that amount from your bill if its over $99. They could of charged me labor but did not. All the 5 star reviews on Yelp are true. These guys are legit, fair, honest, and professional. Adrian was top notch and a very upstanding guy, it was evident from his demeanor. My short story about my interaction with The Fridge Guys is now complete. The poor lil rat baby was not at fault here, it was all me. So fortunate to call them due to Yelp and highly recommend. read more

I have a Viking refrigerator and Fridge Guys have the contract to do the repairs. So, I had to use them. Micheal the owner was horrible to work with...I had a complex repair that needed multiple appointments. There was a leak in the cooling system. So, they had to run dye for a month in the system to find where the leak was located. Even with the complexity of the repair it should have only taken 8 weeks tops to wait 10 days for parts, fit me on the schedule etc. The first time someone came to my house was in October of 2023 and the job was completed today May 24, 2024. Over the 7 month period several of my text messages and call were ignored and I even wasted time calling Viking 3 times so they could email him. No communication between his tech and himself so one appointment I had to get off work for twice. So, they did the say exact thing and acted as if I was the problem. Always, it's fixed now but it wasn't a great experience and I am writing this because in the end he nickel and dime'd me for $385 and I just think others should know how he treats customers. Viking paid for the parts and labor but there was another leak that wasn't covered. It took the repair guy maybe10 minutes to fix and no parts were needed. Michael called me after it was fixed NOT before. Let me know he had a min service charge of $385 and that's what he charged me. Btw- the min charge for him to come out the first time was much less and that's to cover gas, sending someone etc. this I am not 100% sure about but the min charge from what I can remember was $199 or close to that. So, he was already paid for the labor from Viking. He said the repair would take 4/5 hours and it did. So they paid for time he was at my house. I wouldn't recommend use them. read more

The owner Michael answer and was kind enough to talk me through reattaching the door and he then sent his repair team out for a 9am appointment the following day.
