The first time Josh repaired my gas stove. The second time Mo repaired my dryer. With the cost of appliances these days who wants to buy new if you don't have to? The cost was very reasonable, the communication all throughout the process was great (especially with updated texts with etas for arrival), the service window was 2 hour, both times they were able to fit me in quickly, and both gentlemen seemed very knowledgeable/efficient about their craft. We were having an issue with our oven not heating. We called Don's Appliances in Long Beach and Josh(B) came out the following day. He diagnosed the issue and put in a new ignitor that he had on his truck. Oven heated right up but Josh didn't like the way the part fit so he ordered an actual LG part. Mo came by to fix our fridge. It had a foul odor from some spilled milk that was stuck in the drain pan. It was gnarly. Mo jumped right in, starting taking things apart and scrubbed and sucked all the gunk out. It's probably not the "repair" job he was expecting, but he was so thorough, I had to leave an amazing review. We had a great experience with Don's Appliances. They came out to repair a stacked dryer that fits in a very tight space. It took quite a bit of maneuvering and two people to get the job done. The dryer is working great! We also had them look at an issue with our refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser and that turned out to be a complicated set of fixes. Given that it's already 6 years old, we decided to use a Brita filter pitcher instead. Anthony did quite a bit of research about the issues after the visit and advised us of the options. All in all, we were satisfied with the service provided. We would definitely hire Don's Appliances again. read more

Hi, I had an old whirlpool dryer stop blowing hot air. Don's appliances sent out a guy name Mo he was very courteous and respectful. He found the problem took apart the dryer cleaned it up for me and everything got it back working by the next day just had to order some parts. I like giving business to local companies, and I am not here to trash Don's, but I do have one bit of advice, make sure you get your estimate in writing, DO NOT agree to any work without getting it in writing because my experience is that the quote was not what I was billed. Although the difference was not huge for me, it could be for other people. They do good work, show up on time, keep their appointments, but the final bill did not match the quote. However, I do recommend them as a business, just get it in writing. read more

We needed our Professional Frigidaire Oven recalibrated and cleaned up. Josh was our provider. He was professional and let us know what he was going to do and how that would help our range. Don was speedy, He had the part we needed for our refrigerator the same day. He replaced the part in 1 1/2 hours and without us asking fixed the double door closer. His charge was about about half the price of other repair men who also said they would have to order the part which would take at least 5 more days. My Maytag Neptune dryer, which is about 20 years old, needed repair. The dryer is a type with a lower tumble dryer and upper drying cabinet, which I really love, especially the upper drying cabinet. I called Don's Appliance as I have used them before and knew I could depend on them. I had hopes it would be something simple like the belt, which it was, however, threads stripped on the pulley roller to the motor required the motor to be replaced. it was suggested if I was going to fix it to replace the rollers and blower. I was advised that it was worth it to fix it as it would be like new and cost less than a new dryer. It seems the newer appliances are made to last 5 years and as I really love the dryer and parts were still available, I decided to fix it. They also guarantee their work for a year. I now have my dryer fixed, with new parts and a dryer that should last me, hopefully another 20 years! During Covid my refrigerator went out and I couldn't get anyone to come out nor could I get anyone to install a new one. they would only drop it at the curb. I called Don's and they came out, put in new parts, fixed it, guaranteed it for 1 year. That was 4 years ago. I love Don's. They are responsive, reliable, courteous, friendly and prompt. read more

Shay replied the first thing in the weekday morning upon my request for a quote over the weekend and provided very honest and forthright communication along with valued information. It dealt with a Mirowave Oven which I wanted repaired, but was told with professional integrity, it's not worth repairing and reasons why (so, the cost of replacement often is cheaper than repairing and morereliable getting something new versus fixing something that's broken that might break again or another aspect may falter). Kudos for Don's Appliances, although I didn't use them this time, I'd most certainly consider them the next time. read more
