Our LG dryer has not been drying clothes very well lately. We bought it 11 years ago. I presumed it was a sensor or some other malfunction. I went to YELP and searched for dryer repair near me. This is for two visits. July 2023 Peter came over to fix our freezer portion of our Samsung Fridge. I have worked on it before on other things but only electrical things. This time the freezer wasn't staying cold and notice the fridge was going bad too. He noticed a leak and then said it is most likely the Freon. Which he then added. And it's been working like a gem so far. August 1 2024. My dryer has had some tumbling sound last few months and I have been looking for some time to open it up and fix it but life happens. Then the dryer was not giving heat. So with a fire hazard on potentially working on it myself I turned to Peter. Which was perfect since I had to change the rubber gasket for the washer that I had the part laying around for three months. Peter had a worked with our schedule and was very responsive. Peter was very responsive and was able to come out the same day with a 3-hour arrival window to diagnose the intermittent noise from our Samsung Refrigerator and constant noise from our Samsung dryer. Of course our fridge didn't make the noise when he was there and I even let him hear the noise from a video I recorded so he moved onto the dryer. He took the face plate and panels off and removed the drum. Showed me that one of our rollers broke (looks like a rollerblade wheel). Also about 1/8 inch of lint build up inside the base of the unit. Told me he could clean it for a $150 fee but that most customers just vacuum it themselves while the panels are off. He charges $60 for a trip/diagnostic charge that gets included in the cost of work if done. Cost of parts and to have unit opened, problem diagnosed, repaired, and closed up was $220. He recommended an annual cleaning to mitigate lint fires which I will likely do myself with help from YouTube. read more
