The calamari and shrimp were absolutely delicious. Got a good amount. Perfectly crispy without being greasy or oily. The carbonara also had good flavor and loved the bacon and that it wasn't overloaded with it. Simple but delicious. Service was great Ambience was 2 outdoor benches and a table to stand at in a courtyard like alley. Good food at decent prices. Worth trying out.
You can easily miss this place because it's on an alley and it's a door with Christmas lights. There are 2 benches and 1 table for eating. No inside seating or bathroom. I enjoyed the fried calamari and shrimp. Nicely fried. Note that it's the whole shrimp - head, eyes, tail, shell and legs! You don't need to peel off the shell since it's fried well. No tartar sauce. We ate at nicer restaurants and this place has the better calamari . The carbonna is ok. I'm still searching where I can find the best carbonara.
A perfect paper cone full of fried heaven. Calamari, shrimp, and anchovies. I'd never had fried anchovies before , but I loved them. Perfect street food, perfectly executed.
Simple, cheap street food. Don't expect world class ambiance or service. It's basically a hole in the wall but the food is some of the best we've had not only in Venice but anywhere. I would highly recommend the mixed seafood. For 8£ you get a giant paper cone of salty fried sardines, squid and shrimp. My wife got one of their many offerings of pasta which came in a convenient little Chinese takeout kind of container so if you can't finish everything or are in a rush, you can just take your food to go. Really the only thing I could hold against this place is the seating sucks, there isn't much of it and the little seating they have is limited to a single table and a couple of benches in the alley. That said, that's probably not going to stop you from coming if, like me, you enjoy quick and delicious seafood and pasta. Definitely worth the visit!
Best pasta sauce in all of Italy (northern, anyway). Darling hole in the wall takeaway, generous portions. The Fried refers to all the seafood. Freshly made pasta in house.
you can walk right past it. it's right by ristorante pizzeria. it's just a small little place hole in the wall and can walk right past it so go very slow
This was a great to go food option in Venice! The fried seafood is definitely worth it! The crispy light batter makes for a satisfying snack or light meal.

The absolute best restaurant ever. The fried calamari and chicken nuggets with fries are amazing. The man behind the counter is the most wholesome and welcoming man on the planet. I have been to this establishment 5 times in less than 2 days and have been amazed how good it has been every single time. The ambiance and decor in the restaurant reminds me of simpler times when we could relax and enjoy the moment. 10/5 stars. Best place in Italy read more
I came across this place on social media, where it was recommended for its fried seafood. It's definitely a bit tricky to find -- tucked away in an alley with a side-door entrance, not on the main street. Since Venice is generally expensive, I found this spot to be relatively affordable, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the fried seafood, which is their most popular item. I'm so happy I found this place on my Italy trip. It is FRESH and HOT, made to order. And so affordable. There wasn't a wait and the food came out within 5 or so minutes. There's minimal counter space if you're trying to eat in, I would just do takeout. It was nice to be able to walk around with delicious food while exploring the streets. Highly recommend and would definitely come back if I returned! read more

All I got was the fried stuff but it was the best fried seafood I had my entire trip. Why? B/c it was fried to order. Hot and fresh is the way to go. I didn't get to try any of the pasta cuz it was 10 at night by the time I got to eat any of this. Just off the main drag, I walked right past it on my way to find it. However, the short line out the door let me know I found the right place. A little wait to put in my order and a little wait for my food as it was one guy, but worth the fifteen minutes. I also had a salad which was nice and fresh. They do have three other locations, so know that you don't have to walk all the way here if you're not immediately in the area. read more

Probably the best Pasta in a box I had in a real long time!! Although has to be the worst name ever but we stopped and ordered up some homemade pasta. Was absolutely delicious and the sauce was amazing, all for 5 euro. Dish was made to order. Tomorrow we will try the fried calamari. Looked so good. Come try when in Venice. read more
This place is easy to miss! I noticed it as I was walking by and told myself I need to remember to go back. They make their pastas as you order so everything is fresh. I was sure on what to ordered (everything sounds good) so I decided to go tradition and got spaghetti (spicy). The noodles were thick and the sauce was amazing. It came in a little carton, and it was more than filling. The shop is small so if you plan on eating inside, you'll be standing. It worth it, though, and the prices are reasonable. With the help of another online source of information regarding restaurants, I was able to find this place. After walking by several restaurants charging both coperto (cover charge) and 12% for service, we decided to have something more budget-friendly. Most pasta dishes here are about €4.99. That's definitely a cheap eat in these parts. There is a sign that says "fresh pasta" but meanings do get lost in translation. They cook the dry pasta so it's freshly made, but it's not homemade pasta. Either way, we knew we would give it a try. As we were deciding what to order, locals kept coming in with their usual orders. That's always a good sign. We were given several suggestions and so we chose two kinds of spaghetti, one squid ink and the other was mushroom and speck. The sauces were quite good. This place would totally get five stars if fresh pasta was used. For the prices and taste, a solid 4 stars. read more

So simple, but so good! Everything was made to order, so expect a wait, but the food was fresh and delicious- definitely worth the wait. Tried the Fritto di mare that consisted of an assortment of shrimp, calamari, and small fish. The seafood batter was light and airy, allowing the fresh seafood flavor to shine. The fritto di mare was also fried to perfection and served with an addicting aioli. Also had the pasta ai nero di seppia (squid ink pasta). The pasta was fresh and the sauce was full of squid flavor. The whole meal of fried seafood and squid ink pasta was about 10 euros, definitely a steal for the quality of food they are serving- probably the best 10 euros I've ever spent! read more

I can't say enough about this delicious restaurant. Inside this hidden gem you will find the BEST handmade pastas in Italy along with fresh and delicious fried seafood. A carton of pomodoro will only set you back 4€ -and a delicious ragu 6€. Along with the name, the prices are unpretentious and honest for solid Italian eats -give them your money! We tried many other restaurants and takeaways -but kept returning to this joint for honest prices -and simply because we liked the food a little more. Explore Venice and it's many wonderful restaurants -but make sure you stop here AT LEAST ONCE -and preferably at the start of your trip so you can return a few times once you discover Venetian bliss! read more

So I wanted to get some dinner and googled for take out places with recommendations. This was it. In Venice you can get shitty food at a great location for which you have to pay way too much, but here? It's good & fair. I ordered pasta with pesto, which is 5€ and freshly cooked. The guy who works there was nice, the pasta very good and damn hot (since it was so fresh) so I'll recommend this take out restaurant! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a very fair place to get take out food. :) read more

By far, one of the best fried fast-food seafood places I've ever been too. There isn't a market for fast fried seafood, and this Fried Land fills it. The fried seafood was really really good. It consisted of 3 things: fried shrimp, fish(anchovies), squid. The calamari and shrimp was fantastic. The fish was an acquired taste for my friend, but I like fish, so I loved it. The squid ink pasta was made fresh as well. I've never had squid ink pasta before, but i thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a fishy taste and stained your teeth and tongue for a while. I liked it nevertheless. Place is a little small and easy to pass up, but it's Venice. Everything is a hole-in-a-wall place. read more
