Jason and team were great to work with. They were responsive and very professional. The flooring we picked out for our new home was the perfect color and style, and his crew was great to work with. We were moving from the Bay Area, so I arrived just as the flooring installation was finished, there were no spaces, no buckles, no creaking noises, nothing. It's been three months and I have no complaints. We also had them re-do the carpeting on the stairs, hallway and bedrooms and at the time all we had was a small sample piece and we just went with it because it was recommended by Jason and one of his sales people. We were pretty adamant about getting all hard flooring, and were referred to Today's Friendly Flooring by our realtor. Awesome referral btw... We met Jason and got along well right away, he was super friendly and to be honest wasn't trying to sell us on flooring at all (no pressure from him whatsoever), just the facts, and answers to my questions, which made me feel super comfortable. Despite my indecisiveness, Jason, AND my husband, remained patient throughout, and I finally settled on a flooring that I loved. FYI, if you're going to pick your flooring off a sample, please look up pictures of what a whole room looks like with it before making a final decision. This move alone helped me rule out some that I thought I loved, and finally pick the perfect flooor for us. However, it was not without some difficulty ... before doing hardflooring throughouout, we had to get approval from the downstairs neighbors per the HOA. Having had bad experience with the prior tenant, they were reluctant to agree and required certain underlayment to provide further sound absorption. Started my search for installing new flooring in my my home on Yelp and read a lot of reviews. Due to high star rating and good reviews from so many, I chose Friendly Flooring. The FF Team did not disappoint. Not wishing to bore with too many details, I will say this. I had a wonderful experience over all. The price / contract was reasonable. First time remodeling, so not much to compare it to. From beginning to end the FF Team listened to me, responded respectfully, quickly and truly did their best to provide exceptional service. The FF Team responded to hiccups in the process with a "we will make it happen and we will make sure you are happy" attitude. And they did. Work done included Stairs and upstairs flooring from carpet to Vinyl, as well as a bathroom remodel. Nice people. Very helpful. They allowed us to bring home the display sample to make sure that it matched. We went to this business after going to numerous corporate flooring companies. After spending $3600.00 the only snag was that the flooring wasn't delivered to the escondido distribution warehouse like they said it would be but instead delivered to Kearney Mesa. This was very inconvenient with the added cost of gas now to the total price. In addition, the plastic vapor barrier that we purchased wasn't at the Kearney Mesa location with the flooring. We had to make an extra trip to San Marcos to pick this up. Overall a good purchase with some inconveniences. If they weren't so attentive and responsive, it would have gone sideways. I would recommend them but would advise using caution and confirm that everyone is on the same page! read more

We first heard about Friendly Flooring from a neighbor. It turned out that nine of our neighbors had used Friendly Flooring and every single one had only the best things to say. Also, their homes all looked amazing. Jason came to our home almost immediately after we contacted him for a quote. Initially we were only planning to do a select few rooms that had water damage, but after talking with Jason and how reasonable his prices are, we decided to do our entire home. Jason gave us ideas of what is in style as well as what would look good in our space. We went into the showroom where Brock was extremely knowledgeable with all of the products. Brock was very honest about what would be durable for our situation, what works best for stairs, etc. He even steered us away from some of the more expensive choices in favor of ones that were more suitable for us. I contacted them on 4/24 about flooring installation. On 4/25, the owner Jason, said he could make it on 5/1 12pm-1pm. He also texted me and said him or his GM would reach out because he had some questions about the project. They never called me. I even texted him several days later and reminded him I was still waiting on a call. I didn't receive a response text or a call. He never showed up on 5/1. At 2:39pm, I messaged him about our 12p-1pm appointment. The message shows as "read" yet he never even bothered responding. I went back and saw all of their negative reviews. While I love the flooring itself It was disappointing how they left our house a mess after installation and we had To hire a handyman because they will not re hook up washer and dryer . However they will disconnect it. To me if you disconnect why can you reconnect . We have used other flooring places in the past that have reconnected our washer and dryer. Jason and his team renovated our house in Encinitas top to bottom in Oct-20. Scope of job: - Hardwood flooring throughout the whole house - 3 bathrooms - Laundry room remodel - Fireplace remodel We had a great experience working with Friendly Flooring. Jason was fair about all the cost overruns and rarely charged for small changes. The job took longer than we had initially budgeted for and Jason was great in sending cleaners to our house to make it more livable during the construction process. We also got to know Jason's son Brock who is a super nice kid and always added some comedic relief! All the guys were very nice and respectful and Jason and his team did a great job of communicating the schedule with us as well as working around our baby's naps (even though this slowed down the process). We had a dismal experience with them! First note they have shipping charge of $99.00 per order, which they do not disclose upfront until you get the invoice. So make sure to factor that into your cost which can add on a additional 30% to the cost and unheard of in this day of Amazon. Second, when we went into the store, we were very clear we needed 75 square feet, which is what we were charged for but it turned out each box only had 74.1 feet which put us just short of what we needed. Bad enough we had to reorder more and they were "so kind" as to reduce the aforementioned shipping charge to $30 and refund our $15 extra dollars we spent on the missing 3 square feet. I paid the 2nd invoice Tuesday and they promised to have it to us by that Friday, (the first order came the same week) and we had to put everything on hold as we needed it to set the vanity in place in our Master Bathroom. That following Monday they texted and said it would be delayed until the upcoming Friday, again another delay and THAN on Friday they contacted my contractor, (I had given up working with them by then) and said it was delayed until Wednesday! It showed up unexpectedly late Tuesday, 2 weeks after I paid the invoice, with no text/call or anything, pure luck we happened to check our front porch. The mirrors I ordered from Istanbul, Turkey came in 4 days with NO shipping charge and were 3X as heavy. Their cacophony of errors cost us time, 2 + weeks and money though luckily our awesome contractor, James Stephens by the way if you need a great contractor, rearranged his and his Teams schedule to accommodate with little or no extra charge. There is more to the story and not good, but lets leave it that their service is terrible, misleading and expensive in this day of age. Thank goodness they did not do the installment, I cannot even imagine what a nightmare that would have been. read more

I am giving Friendly Flooring five stars because we can't give anymore than that. We had three flooring contractors provide quotes and even though Matt and Jason's bid was a little higher we felt that they were the best. We didn't want any shortcuts taken on this project, as it was a major renovation for us. Matt was very accommodating with setting up our initial estimate with our busy schedules. We gave them an idea of what we were looking for material wise and Matt showed up on a Sunday afternoon with a car full of samples. When he did his walk through he was very detailed and knowledgeable. There was no feeling of being rushed to do the job immediately. Fast forward two weeks later and multiple questions answered we set a date. We originally set our start date for Wednesday but Matt's team asked to start a day earlier. This was actually perfect for us as we had some unexpected delays with our floors being uneven during the initial demolition. It ended up adding an additional day to our timeline. All in all it took a little under 5 days to complete our flooring project. We did a full renovation of our floors from carpet and old linoleum to luxury vinyl planking. The color we picked out was perfect and the baseboards look great. The flooring team (Ricardo, Roy, and Diego) were extremely polite and did an excellent job with the time and small space that they had. I felt comfortable with the team and everyone involved. We were constantly being informed of updates and any issues. I definitely recommend Friendly Flooring to anyone. We will definitely be coming back for our next project, the bathroom! Update: after 6 weeks of me reaching out to them and getting no response only when I wrote this review and reached out to the BBB did Jason finally have his scheduled reach out to me. I never heard from Jason personally until the day he finally had a subcontractor come out and fix his peoples mistakes. I was then asked several times to take down my review, but I feel that all should be warned of the lack of communication once the flirting has been installed. While yes the problem was fixed I could not recommend this company to anyone as a referral based on the lack of communication. I can understand being busy and needing time, that should be communicated and a date and time should be set. I now have the name and card of the man who came in Jason's place and should the need arise I will utilize his services as he was very responsive and quick to take care of it! I had them install my flooring last year, it was beautiful work and I left a glowing review. One year later and my floor in the kitchen is starting to lift and buckle. August 8,2022 left a message at the office for Jason to call me to get it fixed, he did not return my call. I called again on August 13,2022 and left a message with the sales girl in office and received no response. August 15,2022 I texted Jason about not getting a call back he said he would have Norma get a hold of me and put me on the schedule in two weeks. I had to text again on Sept 2 as I had not heard from Norma. She did finally call me Sept 3 left a message, I tried to all her back immediately and she did not return my call me back. I called the next week again and still no return call. Sept 17, I texted Jason again, not very please try and told him it was unacceptable that I didn't get a call back and it had been a month since I brought attention to the issue of the floor. He never responded to me but I did get a call from Norma on Sept 18 she set it up for them to come take care of my floors on Wed Sept 21, she let me know Wednesday when they were supposed to be showing up that they wouldn't be able to come and could they come Saturday between 9-12. I said they could come at 9, I had plans Saturday. She said she would confirm and get back to me, she never did. I texted Saturday morning at 8 am to confirm and she said it wouldn't be at 9 but hopefully by 11. I asked her to ha e Jason call me because this is unacceptable and over a month since I've brought this to their attention. She never responded. Beware of using this company as they do not uphold their warranty and they don't work with you in a timely fashion. Currently I have buckling floors that are now causing damage to me cabinets! read more
