He was incredibly responsive, and customer focused-- providing us with all the information we needed to make an informed decision about our flooring. We cannot say enough about Friendly Flooring and how great is the entire team. We replaced all flooring in our entire house with LVP and the carpet in two bedrooms. In addition we remodeled the primary bathroom replacing a Roman tub with a large shower, one sink vanity with two sinks and new toilet. Jason and Manny did a phenomenal job with our commercial office flooring installation and remodel. Most of the reviews are for residential properties but they did approximately 2,200 SF of our medical office space in San Diego. We replaced commercial carpet with a high grade Coretec product and could not be happier. From the beginning, Jason was responsive and truly "friendly." He is a people person but he's also on top of things. Sometimes you run into someone who is friendly but does not follow through. Jason is the opposite, he will work diligently to get you a fair bid. We did several bids and his was the best value. They did our flooring and paint as well. Manny was the leader of the installation team. His team worked hard to work around commercial work hours (nights and weekends). The quality was professional and we have received many compliments. I got carpet installed when I purchased my new home in September. At first sight it looked great. As I looked further into it I noticed a few flaws. I noticed the carpet and the threshold was not a clean cut and seemed to be coming out and some of the nails were exposed (found out after I stepped on it). I also noticed some excess glue stains left on the carpet that I did not initially notice. The baseboard looked like it was slashed with the razor (probably a mistake) and had a chunk of wood missing. I contacted the owner who asked for photos which I sent. It seemed to be going good as if things are going to get fixed, but communication stopped. I decided to not go any further with contacting them and left it at that. I would not use them again. I also wouldn't recommend them at this time either. read more

I didn't use this company. The haggling turned me away. However, he seemed like a nice guy. Just wish business owners would give quotes and stick with it. My only advice is to give a quote and stick with it regardless of the consequences. Shooting different numbers and using tactics to sway my decision a few hundred dollars is exhausting. I want to start by saying our project had several things working against it, that combined meant pretty much no installer in the SD area wanted to take it on, and those that did we just were not comfortable would have the skills necessary to pull it off. If other installers have not looked promising, Jason and Friendly Flooring may just be the miracle solution you are looking for, especially when it comes to slab leveling! Of note- our concrete slab was significantly out of level in approximately a dozen different areas of our 1965 home, we had a pretty small project not worth most installer's time, and we had already purchased materials. All told not the ideal customers. If you have spent any time researching flooring installers in the area, you will find that installers willing and competent enough to take on leveling are INCREADIBLY rare. Honestly look no further than Jason and his excellent master flooring installer Eric. He painstakingly worked with me to go over the entire floor for well over an hour to mark every single low and high spot in 3 different inter-connected areas, and we figured out where we could level and grind minimally to save cost while still achieving a good result. This was no easy task, as we had high and low spots that met at hallways, thresholds, and affected one another. Given some of the crazy estimates I'd had to get the slab for the new flooring flat alone, the savings here of utilizing Eric's leveling skill were significant. The flooring install itself (we used Rubicon SPC vinyl flooring) was highly efficient, with Eric sharing much of his wisdom with me while he worked, allowing me to learn a great deal of the thought process behind a proper flooring result. He worked with me the entire time to make sure the install turned out like we envisioned. In the end, I really appreciate Jason's willingness to take on our job. Given we had our own material and had a small yet difficult square footage to do the profit/effort calculation just wasn't there for most other installers. The cost was also incredibly fair and hopefully we can steer enough business his way going forward to make up for those facts. He and Eric are now our go to when we continue to improve our home, and will be our first recommendation to others in our network. Thank you so much! read more
