First time ever that my nails are MY NAILS! I always get the fake acrylic nails but when I came here I wanted to change it up a bit so I went with only gel, no fake tips! I was patient and finally I am happy with the results! I think a few more weeks and the length I want will be accomplished! Unless I get a crazy idea in my head that I want the fakes back! :) The services has always been great! I've paid $61 (tip included) for a Mani/Pedi with gel and my little girls polish changed on her toes and fingers! The wait has not been too long when I come without an appointment! The chairs with the massage are amazing! I admit sometimes I forget to turn the sucker on. Be clear on the services you want! It's their job to upsell you... it's your choice on what you want done! Don't feel pressured that you have to say yes! I've seen this a lot at every nail shop! Yes, design is EXTRA! There is a dollar charge if paying with a credit card and yes there is a charge to remove the Gel Polish! Recommend this shop if ever in the area and in need of a new spot! Great with kids and men too! read more

This place is super close to my parents home and on a day when I had nothing really to do I decided to get my nails done. They aren't very pushy about asking you to get things which I like and the ladies are pretty nice. It does get busy so you should call ahead since it seems like Soo many people know about this place as being really good. read more

Opens early @ 0900 M-F. That's 1 h earlier than the other local places. Lots of parking, it's next to Marshall's (kinda run down strip mall, but seemed safe). Place looked clean & new paint, spa chairs that still massaged. 40+ gel colors & they design too. No 3-D but that's OK, after a while those designs start to collect dirt anyway. Fresh, clean looking nails for spring is the way to GO. I walked in & was helped right away. 3 people were ready for customers & sure enough, another lady walked in at 9:15 for a spa mani/ pedi-- she got 2 peeps working on her STAT. If you have a picture of nail design, Lee can copy it. 4**** for opening earlier so I can look prettier sooner. *grin* 30$ for manicure, gel soak off of previous polish, lotion massage of hands & arms... Design on all fingers with "diamonds" on the party nails. read more

Ok my nails were a disaster. I've been under tremendous stress so I literally bit off all my nails. I got so tired of looking at them that I decided to go my nails done. I was very embarrassed to ask for a manicure but I still did. The woman that did my nails was SUPER patient. She went above and beyond to make sure that my nails were painted properly. I'm so happy, I'll surely be back. I also love how she applied the polish; it wasn't too streaky or too saturated. read more

I've been coming here for years and always have amazing service. I always ask for my pedicure with Annabelle. She takes care cleaning up my cuticles and gives a great massage! A few times over the years I've had other ladies like Mimi and they're great too. I always ask for Luna to do my gel & dip nails. She takes her time and really makes sure everything is perfect and just how I want it. I appreciate her meticulousness! Lulu has also done my nails and she was great too. I always call ahead to make sure I get an appointment with my favorite people. Always get compliments on my nails too!! read more

I have been coming here since I moved to La Habra. They have been good to me and my sister. However, I had gone a few months without getting my nails done because I was in school and to be honest all my time and money was spent on College. I was excited and so happy to get my nails done for the first time in seven months. I chose my color and once my nails were done I was disappointed in how they looked. They were so thick, so bulky. I wasn't sure if it was the powder or the gel. I was in a rush because it was my daughters birthday party that day so decided I would go back the next day to get them fixed. When I went back and spoke with the guy at the register (he did my nails) he said my nails curved up which is why they looked so thick. I then asked if he can please fix them because I wasn't happy with how they looked. I was completely calm and trying to be careful with how I spoke to them. I was nervous already going in, I didn't want to cause a scene. But he then grabbed my hand and kept saying it's your nails, you don't believe me I'll show you. But you can't complain when they break. So I sat down and he began to fix one. He was squeezing my finger so hard and kept saying it's your nails. Your nails grow up. And when I told him okay I understand what your saying but it's never happened before. I then told him I believe it was the gel color I chose that made my nails so thick. He kept sayin no it's your nails, oh my God oh my God and said he would only fix two nails. So I told him, look I came here to get my nails fixed. My sister and I have been coming here and I want to keep coming here. I didn't want to cause a scene, I even brought you tip money because I know your busy. But you know they look bad. He then said okay I'll fix it, I'll fix it but he just kept squeezing my fingers so hard and kept saying oh my god and shaking his head. I told him thank you, but I'm leaving now I don't appreciate your attitude. I'm not giving you attitude and I can't sit here if you're treating me like this. I had to go to another nail salon to get them removed and an entire new set. I'm so happy I did because they came out so much better. read more

I just came this morning, all I got was gel on my hands. No manicure, just gel. They have their prices on the wall $30 for a gel manicure, so I assumed that there'd be a significant difference as i'm just getting gel. However, I was charged $25. There's no way gel is $25. Definitely got ripped off. read more

Just got my nails done today and love them! I made an appointment the day before because it does get a little busy sometimes. Lee is also the best at acrylics, so I wanted it done by him. I had a full set already on so I got a fill and new gels. It was $27 which is not bad at all. The full set I had on were coffin shaped but the shape was a little off so he fixed them for me free of charge! He made it look like I got a completely new set! Overall this place is affordable and the staff here are friendly! Probably going to be a regular now and go every two week because the shape is amazing! Was able to get in and out with in 45 minutes which was a huge bonus. read more

My Gel X Christmas nails came out beautiful!! very classy and I might continue with this red outside of the holiday season! I had acrylic on prior and wanted to take it off for these gel X nails. There were 2 main things I was really bothered by. First, their hygiene. The lady painting my nails did everything with her bare hands like filing & cuticle care. So I felt uncomfortable when she just dusted everything off & massaged my hands. The second thing is that she asked me to pay before painting my nails. I was super uncomfortable as she watched me write down how much tip I was leaving. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how my mani/pedi turned out for the price. They did really well. The process was .......not great, but the outcome was, so 3 stars! read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. There's so many things wrong with this place! They always over charge you! Pretty petty. They don't clean their stuff and I ended up getting Someone's fungus on my toes. I was a long long time customer if theirs. No ! No ! I don't recommend it. read more

Okay, so I was coming here for years! But will NOT be returning, as I will be taking my business elsewhere. When management changed it seems like the quality and customer service changed as well! This is a picture of my nails only a week old and they are so ugly and chipped already. This is the second time this has happened. Not worth $65 for a mani and pedi at all. Also, I had called to ask if a certain staff member (as she always does my nails) was available and I was told yes to come in and when I came in she took someone else before me as I was walking in, and I was handed off to another staff. I was uncomfortable, but, it was my birthday week therefore, I had to get my nails done, and let it slide, but that was NOT okay. Why tell me to race there claiming she was available and then give me to another staff member? I told them I'd be there quickly as I live in the same street, and they said it was okay! I think that was rude. The lady that was supposed to do my nails did not even acknowledge me when I got there. I'm so disappointed with my experience here. Friendly nails no more. read more

Went in for a gel mani ($20) then opted to be extra and got chrome nails for an additional $10. The dude doing my nails was so rough taking off my gel that he left vertical scratches on my nails. He was rushing through the job and was too aggressive. Then he got up to go have a cigarette without saying anything. I could smell him when he returned to continue to sand down my nails... Another guy came to do the gel and chrome powder application. I've gotten chrome from other places and I could tell this guy didn't know what he was doing. He had to bust out his notes that had directions. Instead of rubbing in the powder he just brushed it on top and was very gentle with it...and now 2 days later the chrome is chipping off. I went because it was cheap and convenient. But they use low quality polish and aren't properly trained. OH and they charge $5 to remove gel. They told me as I was getting ready to pay. Don't be fooled by low prices! read more

Called in and they took me right away even got a chair for my daughter she also got her nails painted I got dip powder and it cAme out nice. I hope these last longer than the gel colors they aLways seem to chip on me. I forgot to gget his name but it was a male. It was $35 for my dip powdeR and $4 for my daughter who just got color. :) read more

My rating is one star . I just went to get regular manicure and left came out nail polish was already messy and went in to fix it. In the evening another nail polish us off too. Not sure the regular manicure didn't last even one day. Not happy. Hopefully they'll fix this issue . read more

I have been coming here for years but recently this nail salon has been doing a very poor job! I use to go to lee & he would do such an amazing job on my nails but then he started taking vacation & when he would come back he would do a poor job! I then started going to Kim & at the beginning she was so good but recently she has been doing a horrible job! I went in today to get a fill because I thought I would give her another shot since i think she is sweet but I really regret it! She did such a horrible job & when I told her to change the color she refused & said she wouldn't do it! I was so disappointed in my color all she had to do was remove it & paint it but she didn't! I wanted to make a bigger scene, since hello I'm paying you! It's not like you're doing this for free but I figured I would just show her instead of tell her! So I will never be coming back here again & i wrote this review in hopes she sees it & really works on her customer service skills! It's so sad because I use to love this nail salon & now I would never come back again! This is not only true for me but for my friends & family too! They stopped coming a while back but I felt a closer connection to the staff hence why I kept coming back but not anymore! I will be taking my business elsewhere! read more

I don't understand how this place has 4 stars. I get that they're supposed to cheap and all my friend and I did was a regular manicure. But, they shouldn't do a manicure carelessly because I'm paying less. My cuticles look the same before and after I came into the shop. He didn't even use cuticle oil before tending to them. He painted my nails with such toughness and carelessness that I could have painted them myself. The paint got rubbed onto my cuticles without it being cleaned off. The male individual who did my nails was munching on candy and had a bloody bandaid over his thumbs. How am I supposed to enjoy a day of getting pampered when the person pampering me is dirty and not polished? My friend requested to have the nail polish closer to her cuticles and her person refused. With no explanation, she says no even though my friend requested it. How does that even make sense? Those are her preferences and the way she wants her nails to look... It doesn't just end there. The white polish was running low so instead of getting a new one, they added alcohol and mixed it! Is this legit ?? Then when we leave, a shopper is loading her car with grocery and she let go of the cart and it hit the neighboring car!! She acted as if it was nothing and drove away. Watch out folks! If you don't wanna ruin your day off, don't come here ! This place is just full of bad joo joo. I will not be coming back to this nail shop.period. read more

Came here once with my cousin and our nails looked great the only thing was when we came back for a fill my cousin had gotten fungus on all of her nails. We both then got them removed and they removed my nails so aggressively. I liked my nails just not very clean. read more

I do not even know where to begin. First off, I have been going to the same nail lady for years. But, due to a family emergency she is closed for a couple of weeks. I was so hesitant to even let someone else do my nails. I looked on yelp for an affordable place to get a fill & this place has good reviews...so why not? Walking into this salon I knew I shouldn't have gone. I waited 15 min as promised, which turned into 30 minutes. The place was very dirty and musty smelling. they had a huge spider web in the corner window with a HUGE spider roaming around its territory. Anyway, they don't have the best gel selection, so I chose a nude color so if I needed a fill hopefully I can drag the two weeks a little longer. the color was extremely light & when I asked for another coat she wanted me to pay extra!!! The fill was so poor my nails underneath aren't even super glued down, when I asked she said they don't do that here. She kept messing up on one nail and had to keep taking off and filing the gel down....the dust flew onto my other WET nails and she just put a clear coat over so it left me with bumps....& to top it off the gel is chipping and it has only been 3 days....Based on the reviews, I thought I would have found a decent shop. If I could give 0 stars I would, they rush, they have poor customer service and only talk and giggle amongst the employees. lesson learned. read more

First time visiting this establishment one of my clients had causally mentioned I was surprised to see there was 3 other ones within the same vicinity not knowing which one it was a passed up the two others since it was hair and nails and beauty supplies as I approached the one at the very end of corner I was greeted by a kind lady with a beautiful smile and she asked what services I was looking for not knowing if I was in the right place I decided to stay and let me tell you I was pleasantly glad I did: the services are great the atmosphere is high vibe and all the ladies there quickly became my friend it was a weekday so I'm sure slower than usual but come to find out two of my clients and a hairdresser I know also come here : my pedicure was amazing done by Mia who was a happy soul singing as she worked and Tracy did my nails and was also very attentive I like the fact that they all made me feel very welcomed I will definitely come back (this might be my new nail place ) read more

They accept credit card but do request tips are done via cash/zelle. I had called ahead and was told we could be seen immediately which was nice, but I ended up having to wait in my chair for over 15 minutes before I was actually seen, while my wife was seen immediately. Because of this I opted for a faster service so that we could be done at the same time. I really wish they were more transparent about the wait times so people could plan accordingly. The service itself was definitely on the pricier side considering what was received, and honestly the quality of work was pretty mediocre. The callus removal was half done (I could only see this after I got up), and everything just felt rushed with little attention to detail (cuticles not cleaned, nails not clipped short enough, etc.). The foot massage at the end was lovely, definitely the highlight of the whole experience. While it wasn't the worst service I've had, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back because of how much it costs vs the level of service I received.

The ladies are all very kind, and I like how peaceful it is inside. Nail salons are always so calm and relaxing, so it is definitely a luxury. This was my second time here, and my first time getting a regular manicure/pedicure done. I was asked if I'd like to get my calluses removed for $10, so I went ahead with it. Also, two of my fingernails were glued, since they were breaking and I told them I was worried they would snap off soon, and I wasn't charged extra for them. Both ladies massaged my hands and feet, and that was so special and made it all worth it. The price is reasonable, and they are considerate enough to ask if you'd like to pay beforehand, so you don't have to worry about smudging your nails after they are done. Unfortunately, I work with acetone in a lab, so my fingernails didn't last more than 2 days, but I still loved the shape of them and how it turned out. Even my toenails started rubbing off a lot within the first week. I just wish I took more pictures of it.

The gel on their toes chipped off, revealing their nails and areas where the technician missed spots, except for the designs, which they did poorly. It looked like they painted each other's nails instead of a professional doing a proper job. For that price, I expected better work, and it's a good idea to check the results before leaving.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my experience here. I typically get my nails done near my mom's house, but I needed a manicure for my engagement shoot and I was out in the OC. I looked up places in the area and this place sounded great! I called ahead to check that walk in's were ok, and then drove the five minutes from my apartment. When I got there, it was clear that they were busy, but I was told to grab a polish for my manicure and take a seat in one of the chairs. I then waited 25 minutes before someone told me that the guy who was going to do my manicure was just finishing up. Fifteen minutes later, a guy came over and started doing my nails. He didn't attempt to make conversation, but I assume that is because he couldn't speak very good english. His rubbing was very rough and uncomfortable. Through out the manicure, the staff talked to each other in a different language, which always makes me feel unimportant. When he was putting lotion on my arm, he said something to another manicurist sitting behind him doing nothing. She came over and looked at my nails/hand/arm or whatever and they both laughed. Because I clearly did not speak the language, I have no clue what they were saying, but it becomes unprofessional when it can be perceived as these people laughing at you. Before he started to polish my nails, a woman came in that I assume he has worked with before, because he then asked someone else to take over my nails so he could go do hers. It just seemed a little unprofessional. When the woman took over to paint my nails, she took the full bottle of polish I had picked out and thinned it out with nail polish remover. I do not know the policy of how that works, but I have never seen that done to a full bottle only a bottle that is getting low. My manicure looked ok when I left, but the polish was chipped by the next morning, which usually doesn't happen with me. The other people in the place seemed to be having a wonderful time, and the other manicurists seemed to be more personable. I gave it two stars because I think my experience would have been different with a different manicurist, plus it was a great price! I wish that I could have experienced the greatness that is reviewed on here, but I didn't. I don't think I will be coming back for a second try. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have been getting acrylic nails and gel for years at different salons and have always had the same issues. Poorly done and my nails would not last more than a week or week and a half with out one chipping or falling off. I started coming to Friendly Nails a few months ago and now I will never go anywhere else. The difference I see between their service and most salons is extremely noticeable. The owner, LEE is amazing at delivering exactly what you ask for and I have had my acyrlic nails stay on literally for over a month one time when I did not have time to go in for a fill.
