Friendly's is the best place to take the family prices are good and the food is great!!! I had the BBQ chicken melt with French fries and a large reeses pieces sundae my favorite that I get every time I go. If you never tried it i recommend trying everything I ordered you won't be disappointed. The customer service was excellent and the price you can't beat. My kids would love to eat here everyday if they could read more

I would have given 5 stars. The food was good burger was a little dry. Waiter didn't ask how we wanted our burgers. With a mostly empty place at the time we were there they put all the customers together where they could have spaced everyone out. You want people to come in and support you during COVID but putting people too close together isn't a good idea. Please consider the time we are living in. Thank you. read more

Friendly's is an establishment way past its prime and everywhere you see from the decor to the menu shows it. We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the place is half packed. Our waiter, a friendly and dashing looking 20 year old with a massive diamond and earring is probably the only thing 'modern' about this place. However, as I'm listening to the waitresses and waiters to talk its customers, it's evident that service is at the heart of this place. Kudos to Friendly's for keeping it...friendly. Now comes the food. The menu is extensive but not for the health conscious folks. Every item on the menu lists its calories and the only "healthy" options are side salads, chicken noodle soup, and tomato basil weighing a tad below 500 calories. I ordered the chicken noodle soup and it's your generic doughy noodles with plastic rectangular chickens and mushy carrots. I doubt this is fresh made. Overall, this place is old and could use a ton of improvements. The service is excellent but it doesn't make up for the food. read more

Where to begin...First, the waitress felt the need to sit everyone in a tiny corner of a the restaurant. She sat a woman next to us that kept snorting snot up her nose the whole time we were there. We had people behind us, and right next to us, and 3/4 of the place was EMPTY! Second, I don't know if it was the people in the kitchen's first day, but I ordered a Double Set Up burger. It is supposed to be 2 burger patties sandwiched between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with a little mayo. It was 2 burger patties served club sandwich style with 3 slices of bread. It was falling apart when it got to me. I think they guy forgot to put mayo on it, and panicked when the waitress came to take the order, because it looked like he shot mayo at the sandwich with a t-shirt cannon. The food came out super fast, which was strange because the fries were dry and ice cold. People probably wanting to be on their phone, so they pre-cook food and do a slap-hazard job so they don't miss a tweet. We still tipped 20% because we're not scumbags, although the waitress was up on the bench in the waiting area texting every time I took one of my kids to the bathroom. I get that it's probably everyone on the staff's first time working in a restaurant, but it doesn't take a lot of know how to cook burgers, fries and chicken fingers. How the waitress didn't spot the fact that the burger was not served between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, but in a bread, burger, bread, burger, bread format is beyond me. She was probably in a hurry to get back to her phone. Every-time my wife wants to go there I protest because I have a terrible experience. Next time I will get a divorce before I set foot in that restaurant. It's like paying to get kicked in the testicles. I feel sick to my stomach. Thanks Friendly's. Just because your target audience is little kids, doesn't mean you can't serve food properly. My husband and I go to this location in Bensalem all the time. He always orders the same thing which is a Turkey super melt. We went last night which was 1/13/21 with our grand son. We were planning to split the Turkey melt. When his Turkey melt arrived he ate his half but was making a face the entire time. I opened up my half and noticed that the meat did not look like turkey at all. In fact it looked like a sponge disguised as turkey. I called over the waitress who then called over the manager who continued to insist that this was in fact turkey. There is no way on this God's Earth that meat was turkey. It looked and felt like tofu. It was removed from the bill but they continued telling me it was the same as last weeks turkey. We have been here a handful of times and have had Shamus as our server. Being frequent breakfast patrons of many establishments around the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. He is by far one of the most cordial and thorough servers we have ever had. He is friendly, polite and there to serve - with a smile (always important to me) we have come on occasion in the evenings for an ice cream snack but it is usually crowded and the serving staff is overwhelmed. So I knew from the start this would've a bad idea. My daughter suggested this place as her grandparents bring her here. We stopped in yesterday for a quick lunch after leaving Kohls. Simply put everything here is junk. The food stinks and the service is severely lacking. I ordered the chicken melt, the fries were good but your typical frozen stuff. The sandwich was frozen chicken tenders with cold bacon on it. My wife ordered the chicken quesadilla, meh, she said the chicken tastes like rubber. Finally my daughter ordered the hot dog and Mac and cheese. She's 3 so she's easy to please. The hot dog was just crap! Wasn't all beef, I specially asked the waitress before we ordered and she said it was. Deli hot dogs are just junk and if I would have known my daughter wouldn't have eaten. The Mac and cheese was the typical Kraft. Literally everything is frozen and nothing is fresh. Besides the food being terrible the service was worse. We were sat almost immediately by the manager. This place could also use a touch up. Very old restaurant! Looks dated and dirty. The server must have know the people in the other booth because she continued to talk to them 5 minutes after we sat down. I literally had to get her attention for drinks. She was very fast with us and didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered. If you want crap food and worse service then check this place out. Womens Bathroom smelled BEYOND atrocious and it was only 11am on a Sunday. The stench made me want to gag (and I am a strong stomached hospital worker). There are no comment cards anymore. I have great memories of bringing my now adult daughter to this location and many times she could eat free. As a family just starting out it was a way we could go out and have a meal and not be out a fortune.She loved the clown sundaes the kids can order with their meals. Friendly's half off breakfast is a great deal! It's only for eat in on weekdays but a lot of times there are coupons for the weekends too. While there's not a huge selection for breakfast, everything is usually good. They have great deals for lunch and dinner too ($5 meals, free ice cream sundae with entree). The food's not fancy but the staff are usually friendly. They have a window where you can go up and just order some ice cream to go. read more

I will never go to this place again. We walked in the door and it took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us because all 4 girls were standing on their phones. Then when someone finally came to us, there were hardly any seats open because each table was still dirty and was left dirty until after we left. When we got our food and plates everything was gross. Both side plates had orange food still on them like they weren't even washed. Then the quesadillas had a curly black hair inside of it! It was mixed in with the cheese and luckily I saw it before taking another bite. I understand the difficulties of working in a restaurant because I do it too, but I would be embarrassed as a worker to give my customers dirty silverware and environment. It was a disgrace. The other main complaint I have is off the quality of breakfast potatoes. All friendlys have the same ones but these seemed to be not cooked to the same standard as others. I asked them to sing happy birthday to my friend because it's tradition that we always do every year, our server kept giving us a dirty look and we over heard her yelling at her co-workers that she didn't want to sing a stupid song. This was the worst friendlys I have ever been to. My fiancé and I ordered a strawberry milkshake that came out with absolutely no flavor and when we told the waitress about it she replied with a song and dance about how they didn't put syrup in it and don't know what they are doing. We decided to switch to ordering a vanilla milkshake which took the entire dinner to receive.Then my fiances burger came out with barely any curly fries , basically just crumbs and my chicken and fries arrived cold. When we told the waitress she said she asked the manager to come over to us but she told her she didn't have time she was too busy. Well excuse the hell out of me ! I have never in my life! You are never to busy to come speak to a dissatisfied customer. Well the fries were excellent. The barbeque sauce has that perfect tangy taste. My family went here just last Tuesday and our service was spectacular. My fries were crisp, well shaped, well cooked, and fresh! The barbeque sauce was a 10/10. It was spicy but not too much. It was tangy and made my taste buds tingle. My family enjoyed burger platters and chicken strips. The chicken was well cooked, and they supplied lots of them. Burgers were well done as well., My only problem is my dessert, which I rate 3/10. We arrived at 10:30 am at the Friendly's on 2369 Street Road Bensalem, PA 19020 Store #00898. We waited 5 minutes to be seated. We then waited another 7 minutes to place our order. Then it was 20 minutes before we got beverages. We kept being told one minute. She took other peoples orders, cleaned tables, served food still no drinks. I asked for more syrup after we received our food for French toast and pancakes at 11:05 and was spoken to like I was 2 years old with her pointing at the syrup saying you have 2 small containers and counted them for us saying one here and one there and you want more. The coffee was cold when delivered and the 2nd cup was so hot that I couldn't drink it, seems like we received the last of the pot of coffee. when asked for another cup after the first the waitress said I heard you the first time you asked .At 11:17 am they said they ran out of Orange Juice after only giving us 2 tiny glasses when we asked do you have a carafe of orange juice. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had at a Friendly's restaurant. Seemed like we were being ignored as others were getting attention because they were regulars to this restaurant.
