For several years my family and I have been going to Friendlys, but this morning's breakfast experience was quite different! The breakfast was skimpy to say the least: The 2 eggs Served were Pullet eggs (very small). The beacon was very thin and looked like it was sliced in half. I brought my kids here tonight for dinner and we got takeout to go and the last time we came like two weeks ago they forgot our drinks that they charged us extra for because they Squirted a tiny bit of Hershey syrup in it and then today I get the chicken quesadilla, My kids got the mac & cheese, and Franks, And honestly, my son has autism and more than half of his hot dogs were burned and he would not eat it at all. My chicken quesadilla was served to me with marinara sauce and the lettuce was missing so we made it about 10 minutes down the road before I had to turn around To go back and the woman I told about the order being messed up was extremely rude and honestly Learning how to read correctly, should be a very basic concept for everyone. I literally put in an online order and it could not be any clear. This is not like a waitress, took my order and messed it up. It was all printed out perfectly on the computer for them, and the slip was even stapled to the bag. Go to the 99 that's the same price and you get better service and better food read more

I unfortunately have to give a one star or I can't post this but trust me it's def negative stars.. this is the absolute WORST Friendlys EVER!!! The whole place is run by kids ... two standing around talking about some guests who just came in loud enough for others to hear it .. I waited for an order I placed for over 20 minutes when I came to get it.. then I get my order and it was totally different from the order i had gotten the previous week and the weeks before and when I asked the kid about it he looked at me said one thing and walked away.. totally unprofessional and I'm totally disgusted that a 16-17 year old employee would speak to a guest like this.. not that one person matters but I come here every week and i WILL NEVER BE BACK and I'll make sure my other family an friends who come here with me an alone don't either .. thank your employee for that one read more

if it could be a zero star, it would be a zero star I ordered mozzarella sticks and fried pickles with marinara sauce they gave me ketchup that you would use to go on your fries the little cheap packets of Heinz ketchup I paid for marinara sauce, not ketchup, in what world is that the same thing that ruined my entire meal like I ordered it for pick up how do you get it wrong so bad that I have no marinara sauce at all who eats mozzarella sticks with ketchup it's ketchup is so sweet especially the Heinz ketchup. I wanted ice cream and there were no open "mom and pop's" nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by this longstanding franchise. It was actually quite nice to eat my sundae in a glass dish rather than styrofoam. I joined the Friendly's app, and it turned out I got my sundae completely free! There are some local photoes that give the place a bit of atmosphere. I would definitely go there again for an ice cream fix. read more

Always a disappointment! ALWAYS missing something and they pretend it's ok to sell and charge for something they clearly don't have! 3 months ago I ordered a Jim Dandy and when I got home, I found no banana, I called and asked about it and was told they ran out!!!!!! "YOU SERIOUSLY COULDN'T HAVE SAID THAT WHILE I WAS ORDERING??" Today I tried again and I got my banana, howevah, if it was any GREENER it would be called a PLANTAIN!!! Totally inedible! They also didn't add the strawberries! Maybe I'm just too overly sensitive but I don't think this is ok and still charge me 10 bucks for something that is not as advertised! I took out friendly's and they were quick. the tater tots were okay i didn't really like the smokey bacon taste in the tater tots. The buffalo chicken sandwich was pretty good and it had flavor. Kinda reminded me of a spicy chicken patty. Loved the seasoned waffle fries I could eat those all day. The loaded fries on the other hand was a little to heavy in my opinion. I wasn't a huge fan of the fake cheese it was too dense and overwhelmed the fries. The wrap was also good and was a savory sweet but wasn't as good at the spicy chicken sandwich. read more

Had not been there since before the pandemic. Went on Feb 14 for dinner. Not many people there but the service was incredibly bad. No one clearing tables. My wife never got untensils! (Fortunately she had a sandwich and fries). We asked twice for ice water but no luck. Never saw anything like it. Waitress clearly not trained and clueless. Final straw was when we left and I had cash to pay. She had no idea how to make change so I ended leaving $9 for a tip, about $8 more than I intended to (but we escaped!). I wrote a letter to the manager the next day. Never got a response. Send a copy of the letter via the Friendly's corporate website. No response from then either. Based on the lack of response, the poor service was acceptable to all the powers that be. Hard to conclude anything else. When I go by some day and see "CLOSED" on the place, I will know why. Always a real treat when I take my family here. Especially the Gardner, MA location. Staff is always pleasant and patient. They know exactly what they like and are eager to make recommendations if you need help choosing. The food is always excellent and timing is never an issue. It's usually relaxing and the other customers are normally respectful about keeping their conversations to a low volume. As well, the seating is always comfortable and the music is easy going. Friendly's is never going to win any culinary awards, but give them kudos for consistency. No matter what Friendly's I have ever visited the food was reasonably priced and reasonably satisfying. The Friendly's in Gardner is no exception. The staff is always friendly and do there best in busy times. The main reason I am writing this review is that the restroom (ladies) was exceptionally clean! I'm impressed. read more
