I am writing to formally raise concern regarding a Nightmare Cirque performance I attended with my…read morefamily. The show contained explicit sexual content and adult-themed material that was inappropriate for the audience present and not consistent with what was advertised. During the performance, a scene involving a Beetlejuice character included sexually explicit behavior on stage. This included a male performer introducing a prop male dildo/penis during the act. Audience members were also directly engaged in portions of the performance, with male audience members being specifically targeted for participation. This created an environment that I and others experienced as uncomfortable and inappropriate, with personal boundaries being crossed. This was more about sexual orientation agenda pushing homosexuality. Asking male audience who has a big penis. Humping another man from behind bending him over. Sexual harassment at an all time high. Extremely disturbing and disgusting. There was no clear warning in the advertising or event policies indicating that explicit sexual content or sexualized audience interaction would be part of the show. Families were present, including children(which should not have had entry access), which made the content especially unsuitable for the setting. As a result, my family and I felt misled and left the performance early. We also requested a refund but were not able to reach the appropriate decision maker at the time. Overall, the experience involved content and conduct that we considered inappropriate for a public performance and resulted in emotional distress.Mental nightmare. ALL of the actors are volunteers AND the money goes to local charities! *$10 parking per car cash or Venmo Every year the themes focus on "in" movies. This year's 2024 "Coven of the Rotted" included Terrifier, Silent Hill, Silence of the Lambs, Dolls and a Voodoo room among many others! There is always a "twist" on the best classic movies, but they've had themes like Monsters Inc. and Toy Story in the past. The themes are always changing and EVERY year is different. The trail takes about an hour to walk through but the scares start once you walk through the entryway! Characters will interact with you (but not touch) and the display of animatronics is a great way to start the night! There is a midway "stop" area to take photos, grab a snack and break up the groups of people that tend to get bunched together through the trail. Creeperum was actually our second stop of the evening, and I wasn't feeling too optimistic. When we got there, our greeter told us that they had tried to do something different than your average haunted house. They were definitely right! No spoilers here, but I screamed a lot, and it was pretty entertaining. More engaging than the average jump out and scare you scenario typical of most haunted attractions, and some very unique bits. It only lasted 15-20 min but it was entertaining for sure. And no chainsaws! :) We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy - but it was still cheaper to buy the Groupon than to pay the "at the door" price. And if it's busy, the Groupon lets you skip the line. Highly recommend as one of the better haunted attractions in the area!

Each room is full curated with an immense amount of fantastic scare actors and amazing mechanical props. Some of the lighting I can't even explain, the, "swamp" room was a total first for me and completely amazing. You'll know it when you see it. As you wander in and out you'll be confused at where you are and what comes next. All of your senses, even smell, will be inundated as you are transported to a horror frenzy. There's a scare at every turn! The make up dazzles and the actors are fully committed. In the market area you'll meet the ringmaster whose hilarious schtick will leave you in stitches. Food is well priced and there's a bar. Also a coffin ride not for the faint of heart. There's so much that id suggest going another night to really see it all. Characters walk by for photo ops and entertainment while you wait in line. NYPD staff is so fun and friendly. The house is for ages 12 and older, they allow younger ages at the parent's discretion. It so well done with jump scares in almost every room. It feels like a safe outing. Hours this year are 5pm to 11pm from Friday to Sunday. They let you in in small groups so you don't feel rushed. At the end, they sell Halloween themed souvenirs with NYPD and Fort Totten on them. I bought a Tshirt to support such an awesome event which is FREE to the community. We loved it and appreciated it!

A fabulous walk, indoor and out, with strobe lights and all the jump scares you could dream up. This place changes every year. A small food truck outside with treats, also takes Venmo bonus factor. They also had someone available outside to take pictures for you for free. *NO cameras inside for obvious reasons. They also timed it beautifully that people weren't gaining up on each other.

The day started at Castle Hill Farm (Hayride/Corn Maze and Pumpkin Picking), then we came home had lunch and carved 2 glorious pumpkins! Entry to the festival was 1 carved pumpkin/kid +1 dollar for the candle. Entry included 10 Trick or Treat Stations, games, balloon animals,bouncy house obstacle course (what?), dj, hula hoop contest and of course there was food for an additional fee, a very reasonable fee. All the kids were dressed up, it was fantastic. But when night hit is when it raised the festivities another notch... all the hundreds of pumpkins were lit up for viewing and it was pretty freakin cool if I do say so myself. What was even better we were able to retrieve our pumpkins at the end of the night. FYI: THIS MAY BE THE LAST YEAR AS THEIR FUNDING "IS DRYING UP". THAT WOULD BE SUCH A SHAME.
